The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking Coverack Bay. The receptionist was outstanding she was welcoming and arranged for my room to be ready much earlier than expected. The other outstanding thing was the evening meal the seafood linguine and vanilla cheesecake were exceptional. The only slight negative was the wait for breakfast when I arrived There was no one around and there was a wait before getting served probably due to lack of staff.

The only minor problem was the TV in my room. I was unable to get terrestrial channels on it despite some assistance which was slightly disappointing.

The hotel is ideally placed for wonderful views over the bay and harbour, with a short walk down to the beach or along the lane to the harbour and shops. The hotel restaurant was amazing; breakfast and evening meals were like a breath of fresh air in themselves - so good!! You just want nice, properly done food sometimes on holiday - they get it! And a table in the bay window overlooking the terrace and lawn, above the cove? Yes, please! The staff were a warm, considerate presence, ready to answer questions and offer a few hints and observations, blending their professional role with the friendly ease of a well-liked neighbour. A homely lounge that comes into its own late in the evening - settle in with the sea and harbour in view, and bookshelves, and warm drinks or something from the bar to relax with. Did that. Perfect.

I was travelling alone and could not have wished for a better experience! Upon arrival I received a room upgrade, the Bay Hotel staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, the location is out of a movie, I basically rolled out of the breakfast room every morning because I ate so much and I got some of the best sleep I had in ages… I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and I hope I can come back soon! Many thanks to the staff for making this trip truly memorable.

Very friendly, chatty staff who made us feel at home; Our dog was made to feel very welcome, which is always very important to us; Exceptional breakfast menu; Location is on the SW Coast Path, so ideal for easy access to hiking routes; The views from our room were incredible! We had an absolutely fantastic stay - this was our second time at The Bay Hotel and we will return again for our next Cornwall trip. It is wonderful to stay in such a warm and friendly hotel. Our whippet William also had a fantastic time and was treated with as much warmth as human guests - this made the stay extra special for us.

Beautiful location. Lovely hotel. Staff were always very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and dining room clean, airy with great views of Coverack Bay. I had a meal from the Bar area one evening as opposed to the in-house restaurant. It was great food and I considered the bar food to be very reasonably priced for the stature of the Hotel. I like to think I have high standards so for me to say that I would consider returning to this hotel at a later date is praise indeed ! Peaceful and quiet location. Great stay !

Found mattress on my bed to be a little hard for my liking so struggled to sleep on first night, but soon got used to it. TV in room was a mild disappointment - approx. 42 channels, but I could only access about 18 due to an antenna problem. I say mild disappointment, because the location and views compensated for this small discrepancy. Thought 2 small biscuits in the container by the tea / coffee facilities in the room was a bit 'tight' considering the cost of my stay. A complimentary bottle or two of water in the room I think would have been a nice touch.

The Bay Hotel exceeded all expectations not only in terms of its location overlooking the Bay, the standard of accommodation, and the sumptuous food, but also the wonderful staff, who not only attentive, professional and genuinely caring, went about their responsibilities with a smile and a cheerful comment. Such a rarity these days, and greatly appreciated by my Mother and I. Definitely coming back when next over from Australia. All the best, Charles and Patricia Hill.

Nothing not to like.

Everything really, great location, right on the sea, incredible views to watch the sun rise, lovely lovely staff. James is great, always striving to make the guests as comfortable as possible.. and both Caroline’s were just lovely and Sarah for lending me a charger! Food is outstanding as well, hats off to the chefs!. Overall I cannot really fault it!

The only minor minor fault for me personally was I am 6 foot. The rooms on the top floor have low ceilings, so I had to mind my head. That was the only thing..

Location, sea views, great food and staff

Nothing. Not a complaint as such as I never reported it but there was a daily aroma of drains in the bathroom and the toilet seat was loose. It was manageable with the window open. Only mentioning it to alert the staff to resolve for future guests.

Beautiful location, lovely clean, comfortable room with a lovely view. Staff very friendly and helpful.

My only negative was the breakfast. My fresh beautiful croissant was ruined by someone dusting it with icing sugar!! I then asked for sausage egg and bacon as opposed to the full English. I got one sausage one egg and two very thin fatty transparent pieces of bacon, not impressed. It wouldn’t put me off from returning though.

As we had a room at the front, wonderful, it was ruined at night by the 3 enormous lights near the garden steps that were left on all night. The sky was clear with many ✨ stars to look at but I gave up and pulled the curtains instead as drifting off to sleep watching the night sky was impossible. Our room gets a 10 for its position but minus points for its small size and the 2 chairs in the room were far too big and clumsy.
