Location - proximity to beach & coast path - excellent breakfast & lovely staff. Great apartment, which really added to the comfort of our stay.

Only niggle was issue with water not being hot enough & intermittently running colder for an interesting showering experience.

Very homely, very helpful, freindly and considerate staff, nothing too much trouble. A great set up, very simple yet luxurious. Even a nicely equipped spacious room just for children, catering for all ages. Stunning location. Presented excellently and every detail has full attention and thought. Food is amazing(although we only had breakfast) and had a good selection. Bed was super comfy with excellent quality linens all super crisp and clean. The room, sorry apartment, was lovely and spacious too. Mini kitchenette with fridge and dishwasher, microwave and kettle. Complimentary sleep gift bag on the bed which was a lovely touch and specific named Rosevine soap and lotion which smelled divine. Stunning views and gardens. Very relaxing and comfortable, will definitely go back again and recommend to others.

I cant believe im saying this but some areas were too hot for us, it felt like a sauna in some communal places(it has only just turned spring so perhaps its cooler later in the season when heat is off or lowered). This is my only slight of the Rosevine and very personal to my taste ( as we dont like it too warm) that said, its nice to walk into when its cold outside and blowing a gale, clearly comfort of the guests is paramount over cost of heating the place(especially with utility prices). Perhaps some more local cornish tea and coffee products in the rooms would be nicer than generic food supplier brands to uphold the quality of the rest of the stay as we were a little dissapointed with what was there(but very grateful we had something till we got to a shop)

Breakfast good

Evening meal, poor, winter herb roasted potatoes!!! On the menu, which were Aunt Bessie's frozen potatoes, which were still frozen in the middle My partners meal should have come with peppers, there weren't any.Served with cold mash, .I asked to see the chef, who did come out and apologised, he said he was not on his game tonight, not really good enough for £37.50 and a fine dining experience as advertised in the hotel.!!! Really appreciated the free upgrade to a nicer room.Would return if the food got sorted out.

We liked everything! The location, the view, the hotel itself, the room, the meal, the staff, the service—everything was perfect. The hotel kindly gave us a free upgrade to a sea-view studio with a bath, as they had the availability, which was a wonderful surprise. We loved the attention to detail in the room, including the sweet little package of sleep aromatherapy products. The staff could not have been more helpful. We enjoyed coffee as we sat in the garden in the sunshine before leaving for home after making some special memories.

Nothing at all - it was such a beautiful place.

It was beautifully quiet, in a pretty area. Breakfast was very good. The toiletries were lovely. We felt we had good value for money as it was cheaper winter months. If we had paid more I would've expected better attention to details. The bedroom was very clean. View from the restaurant was wonderful.

The room was cold when we went in as the radiators were turned off. Not very welcoming. The bathroom was disappointing. The shower had a tendency to lose power/flow. The glass shelf above the sink was barely hanging on, I certainly wouldn't trust anything on it. The bathroom shelves (metal ones) desperately need dusting. The plaster and silicone need to be finished in the shower area as it really let's down the 'premium' experience they are so close to achieving.

Lovely traditional hotel with pretty gardens and nearby beach. In a great location near to Portscatho, St Mawes and coastal footpath. The room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen area very useful. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we had there. Staff were polite and accommodating. Very pleased that the hotel has rooms that are not available to those with dogs ! I suffer from asthma so it was a key consideration for my wife and I.

As with many hotels since covid it would benefit from a little maintenance here and there but nothing to really put us off returning.

Great sea views, friendly staff, very doggy friendly and lovely food for both breakfast and evening meals.

For the price, we felt there was a lack of attention to detail and the room we stayed in (especially the bathroom), was not up to the standard we expected, with very poor decoration in places, tired furniture and broken bathroom fittings. The gardens were lovely, with views to the sea, but broken outdoor games, litter and dog poo left by other pet owners, let it down. Our kids loved the heated indoor pool, but broken swim aids/pool games (which we disposed of), corroded handrails and grim communal shower cubicle, need to be addressed

Location, food, view, all wonderful, and at short notice.

Door to the room (Mays) stuck quite badly meaning we had no choice but to slam the door with a bang to get it to shut -not ideal for the neighbours. Reported to front desk, they said someone would look at it. Electric charging bays were used by people without electric cars meaning we had to park in the overflow. Advised that a charging point would be reserved once one of the cars left, but they didnt leave.... thankfully we had enough charge to get to another charge point on our way home.

Wonderful hotel, a haven of paradise! The ocean is within walking distance and it is marvellous! The kids and I enjoyed walking along the shore. Clean comfortable room! It was warm!!! The beds are soft and comfortable! The kids were delighted with the two tier bed. Really good food and wine! Polite staff.

There was a swimming pool, but the water was unrealistically cold. Children could stand it for 20 minutes, then started shivering from the cold. Adults did not go swimming.

Lovely gardens in the hotel to sit and relax. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Freshly made individual breakfast and really good croissants. We ate 2 out of 3 nights in the hotel and the food was very good. Sandy beach just a short stroll away down the hill. Porthscatho could be reached in a 10-15 minute walk along the coastal path (has an excellent ice cream shop which is worth the walk alone). Proximity to the coastal path means you can walk for miles if you want.

Nothing.
