The location is amazing. The sea view is stunning. We had a walk up to the castle that is very close by. Unfortunately it was closed, but we walked around the moat and the views were amazing. Best of both worlds with the lovely countryside and sea views. Well within walking distance to the town centre too.

The weather, but it's the UK. Didn't stop us getting out walking.

Clean room, great location and overall very pleasant staff.

During breakfast, we moved to another table as the assigned one felt too small. It was our mistake not to confirm with staff. While we were eating, a staff member very rudely asked if anyone had allowed us to sit there. We apologized and asked if we should return, to which she again replied rudely that we must. We understand the table may have been reserved and accept our error. However, a polite explanation with a smile, or even a small acknowledgment of our inconvenience during breakfast, would have gone a long way. All other staff were very pleasant.

Great location right on the seafront, lovely welcoming staff and a high quality hotel. I booked a single inland room but was surprised when I got in the room I had been upgraded to a small a double room. Although the room was inland there was a window seat that allowed for sea views. Breakfast was great, full English plus choice of cereals, pastries and fresh fruit.

As my room was located at the rear of the property above the kitchens there was a loud noise at night possibly an extraction fan or generator, I am a light sleeper so this did keep me awake for a while.

The hotel is immaculately clean everywhere. The staff were very smartly dressed, polite and couldn’t do enough for you. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options. The room tea and coffee making facilities were brilliant and used great produce. Clean fluffy towels changed daily, robes and slippers were a nice feature. Love that you can use dry robes free of charge for the beach. Great touch. Great location, lovely views and loads of parking! Very good quality sun loungers outside. The pool and spa area is a good size and again very clean! Location is excellent for eating out and accessing Falmouth centre.

We knew we had booked “land view” but didn’t quite expect to have a bin view.

Food was delicious, hotel lovely and clean. Room was perfect size and value for money. Loved the option of having a coffee machine in the room. Excellent relaxed environment. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The spa facilities were lacking. Sauna wasn’t very hot. The pool area looked smaller than in photos we had seen online. Not enough option for spa options. Kids were also in the pool area throwing balls with their family so we didn’t have full access to be able to swim in the pool properly. Dinner booked in the evening was of good quality but overpriced for what the food dish actually was.

We had a very clean and comfortable room. The evening meal was fabulous, everything was cooked to perfection. The breakfast was amazing, it's so refreshing to have a large selection of fruit salads, dried fruits, and nuts. There was a great selection of cooked breakfasts, although I stuck to the smoked salmon and scrambled egg as it was so delicious.

For the tea and coffee making facilities, I would prefer to have mugs instead of a cup and saucer. The lounge staff were very friendly, but it was sometimes difficult to get someone's attention.

The Royal Duchy Hotel exceeded my expectations and I had a wonderful week staying there. The staff were excellent and really understood my gluten free diet requirements very well. The hotel was really well maintained and housekeeping standard outstanding. The food was also first class.

Loved everything about this hotel, fabulous location and views, exceptional food, all staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Very very clean. Pool facilities great open from 7am until 9pm. Outside terrace spacious overlooking the sea, nice relaxed holiday. Cannot fault anything with this stay, definitely will stay again. Would like to try other Brends Hotels too. Thank you.

Good location, wonderful views. Exceptionally clean and food decor with lots of light. Lovely terrace and front garden. Relaxing.

Very warm bedroom. It requires air conditioning. Seagulls sitting on rooftops throughout night exhibiting a cacophony of noise.

Fabulous beach view location. Only 15 mins walk from Falmouth Marina. Gilly beach was about 10 minutes away, beautiful pavilion and gardens next to the hotel. The Brend hotel group always has high standards in my opinion based on experiences.

Food menu was a bit limited, not many good options for lite bites or snacks. Tea is horrible at breakfast… stewed… tea bag brand change is a suggestion
