What was there not to like, stayed as sons wedding close by, and really owners could not have been nicer or more welcoming...even coming out to rescue us on arrival as a bit lost.....and welcoming some of wedding party who were not booked in with them for breakfast !!! Comfy, clean and beautifull biscuits.....mattress so lush woke up no aches or pains...i need the make please !!!! Really could go on and on....don't hesitate...find out for yourselves...thanx for lovely stay x

No stars on the second night lol !!! 1st night sky was amazing and learnt so much from Ben about the stars...had to see it to believe it !!! Katherine makes the most wonderful biscuits but did not see much of her..would have been nice to have met her The area is so so silent and quite...peacefull..just be prepared for that if you prefer a bit more "noise"

Superb comfort; first class service/food; perfect location for visiting the areas we wanted to access. This was our second short break there (family reasons) and after our first visit - Dec 22 - it was a "no brainer". The bedroom/bathroom (we chose the larger) is excellent and the sitting/breakfast room is lovely ... wonderful surroundings. A good kettle, selection of teas and coffee with daily fresh milk and filtered water in a small fridge. Ben offers a choice of freshly cooked food to accompany cereals, etc. - we leave looking forward to another visit.

The over-bath shower is excellent but some visitors may prefer a shower cubicle.

We were attending a Wedding at the Barn which was very close by so it was very convenient. It was in a very secluded and quiet area. We woke up to the goldfinches singing. Perfect! Ben was a fantastic host, welcoming us to his beautiful property, showed us to our room and checked we had everything we needed. In the morning he was ready to serve us a very nice breakfast at a time that was good for us. The views across the fields were stunning and the property was perfect, clean lots of character with comfy beds and lots of lovely amenities and touches. We would stay again when we are in the area. Highly recommended.

Nothing. Except perhaps an optional fan in the room, but just a personal requirement! Everything was great 👍

Our stay at Pengelly BnB was thoroughly enjoyable, Ben was an incredible host. The food was exceptional, freshly made every morning. The cleanliness and tidiness of the property was particularly pleasing. Fantastic location for anyone attending a wedding at The Barn at Pengelly.

A singular slice of toast away from a flawless stay! Would complete the full Cornish breakfast in my opinion. Could not fault any other aspect.

We stayed for a wedding that was at the Barn which was less than a 5 minute walk away. The room was lovely and so cosy! Ben and Katherine were very welcoming and always happy to help…. They even let us borrow an umbrella to talk down to the wedding with. I would really recommend it to anyone attending a wedding at the barn and I would also recommend it to anyway who wants a little getaway that’s somewhere peaceful.

It was difficult finding the location but once we found it everything was brilliant.

Large room. Great view. Exceptional breakfast. Quiet location. Central to a lot of attractions. Ben was an excellent host, knew a lot about the history of Cornwall. Loved the lounge area….relaxing classical music in the background and books to read. Free parking on site. Lots of extra touches…..yummy homemade shortbread biscuits. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. Would highly recommend.

What can we say that hasn't already been said. Pengelly is truly worth more than 5* everything is luxurious, just perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back and have already highly recommended it to friends. Ben is a perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. Katharine's biscuits a delightful extra touch in the rooms. Rooms are as per the photos, beautifully, immaculate, very clean and comfortable. An absolute gem, thank you both so much.

The house was stunning, spacious and spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and the cooked breakfast and overnight oats were the best we've ever had. The hosts were extremely welcoming and attentive. We stayed the night after a wedding over the road so the location was perfect for our needs. I would 100% recommend a stay here.

The breakfast was very good. The room was beautiful - clean, comfortable and exceeded my expectations. The price was very reasonable for what we were given and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location was challenging but my fault for not reading the email on directions beforehand!

Perhaps fresh fruit for breakfast and a bit more choice for vegetarians.

The host Ben was very welcoming and helped us to get the best out of our stay. Breakfast menu choice was excellent, all cooked on request. The location of the accommodation was at the end of a long lane, very quiet and peaceful, but not far from Truro and other destinations.

Nothing could have been done better.
