Friendly welcome ,pleasant room ,good comfortable bed, and especially the convenience of being able to use the hotel carpark in the centre of what is now almost a traffic free city centre. We had booked to watch a show at the Hall for Cornwall ,and knew from having lived in Cornwall a few years ago that the hotel was just 50 yards away . Perfect for our one night stay ! Next morning we enjoyed continental breakfast in the relaxing restaurant surroundings. We will definitely book Mannings again.

The view from our room of the unkempt rear of other nearby buildings was somewhat depressing , though not the fault of the hotel.

We chose Mannings for the location as were attending an event at the Hall For Cornwall and it was perfectly located for this. Our room was spacious and located on the second floor. We were aware that due to the nature of the building there wasn't a lift but this wasn't an issue for this. The room was very clean and the bed comfy. Tea and coffee facilities were provided and, although a biscuit would have been nice with the cuppa before bed, this wasn't a major issue. The ensuite wasn't the most modern but was certainly more than adequate for us. We had the continental style buffet breakfast which was included in the room cost. A cooked option was available for an extra charge. However, we were more than happy with the buffet breakfast, where there was a good selection of fruit/yogurt/pastries/toast/jams etc. Overall we thought the breakfast was very good. The staff we saw were also very welcoming and polite. We would definitely use Mannings again if visiting Truro.

It would have been nice if the bar was open later so a nightcap could have been enjoyed after our show. However, we were aware from reading previous reviews that this wouldn't be the case. If we were really keen on a drink I'm sure we could have found somewhere else!

Lovely hotel in the centre of Truro. Very clean and well kept, it felt welcoming and homely. It's a prime location, with the main high street just a few steps away. Free parking in a gated area was much appreciated, saving money on parking which can be expensive in the city. The room was great, good amount of space, and the bathroom was clean and fresh. The place smelled amazing, and the amenities were good. Very happy with our stay here, and would stay again.

A loud fan started going off directly outside the window at 7am that was a little disruptive. The free breakfast was continental style, and a cooked breakfast you had to pay for. But the continental offering was very small. Wasn't much available for any dietary restrictions.

Friendly helpful staff, , breakfast and dinner menu choices are good, something for all tastes. Drinks menu is imaginative, especially for cocktails. Parking at the hotel is a bonus as central and safe for car. Also, due to central location very handy for shopping and safe to walk alone in the evening.

My room (which was lovely) was on the top floor and heaving luggage to this level, is only for the able bodied. There are no porters or lift to help. Not sure what the answer would be as the building is not built to accommodate a lift but help with luggage should be a consideration.

Our room was on the third floor. There is no lift but we only had light bags. The room was small but well appointed and comfortable for 2 for our short stay. The bathroom was quite spacious with a shower rather than a bath. The room looked out the back of the hotel where seagulls were nesting which rather spoilt what would have been a quiet position. Breakfast was a buffet without cooked options but this was more like being at home and did not spoil our appetite for lunch. We would happily return next time we visit Truro.

Found out only continental breakfast included in room rate, should be explained at time of booking. I paid a bit extra when booking for a superior double room, but when arrived found out that the room was on the 3rd floor, no lift, in the attic. Very stuffy up there and a lot of noise from pigeons roosting on the roof. I wouldn't return if on that floor as too many stairs without a lift.

The breakfast was perfect. The location was excellent for my rehearsals at the cathedral. Which is why I chose the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. My room was adequate and clean but quite small for a double. It was comfortable and quiet so I slept well.

I now dislike booking .com and will not use it in future. I am telling my friends so. The room was extremely expensive . I was not told that single rooms are not available on the booking .com website. The hotel advised me that is the case. Added to that I discovered a discrepancy in the amount I paid and the hotel received. I paid £25 too much for a double room. My receipt from the hotel was £525 rather than £559 I paid mbooking .com. Was there a booking fee to booking.com? I don’t remember being advised of that. Very disappointing service from booking.com In future I shall always book direct with the hotel.

Staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good. Location was great. Bed was good, bathroom facilities were also good.

We were on the top floor, unfortunately no lift which meant 56 steps each time to get to our room. Room had a sloping ceiling on one side of the bed that was annoying. Close to a noisy town clock for anyone who is a light sleeper it’s a problem until after midnight. Town clock stopped after midnight. Yet the positives outweighed the negatives and we would definitely stay again, hopefully on a lower floor.

The hotel bar was closed for anything as it was Easter Sunday so luckily we were in a town where. we were able to dine out We thought cooked breakfast was included this morning but it was an additional charge It looked good but we had continental instead Not suitable for less abled persons as there is no lift Overall a great location and lovely hotel

Great location. Free parking right next to the hotel was fabulous. Only one flight of stairs to take our bags to. (Grade 2 heritage building so no lift) Ice bucket with ice provided if needed- no fridge in the room. Great continental breakfast

Opening windows allowed good airflow in, as no air conditioning in room, however restaurant kitchen extraction system below us. This ran from 6:30am til 9pm so some kitchen smells and extraction fan noise - however not too difficult to live with. Have stayed in accommodation with similar room rate where a cooked breakfast was included
