the staff were so helpful and caring. wonderful communication skills, Staff showed pride in their appearance, , I love their style. I had to see my boyfriend who was in hospital and the staff were very understanding allowing me to keep my luggage at the hotel on the last day just to go to the hospital. The room I was surprise to see the kitchen. overall the very large room was comfortable the design wonderful the classic meet with modern. Love keeping the idea of keeping the key features of a Victoria building and link it to modern styling. I slept well adn the room was quiet,. Breakfast was great. good variety. thank you for your support, the service all at the high level. thanks to Daniel, Sebastian and the gentleman who book me in on the Saturday (sorry i forgot his name). On our arrival We received a very warm friendly welcome from reception staff and this continued through out our 8 night stay. The hotel cleanliness was exceptional. Although we usually go for a hotel that provides a cooked breakfast we can say what was available was fresh , tasty and was a refreshing change. The waitresses were friendly, helpful and obliging. The decor was very attractive. Ample parking available and the town centre was a down hill ten minute stroll.

Nothing every thing was perfect.

The hotel was easy to find following our arrival in Truro at the train station and situated in an ideal area to access the City centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast provided.

The room was very comfortable the only thing that let it down was the bathroom. There was a beam across the bath and no shower. Even to have a bath was not straight forward due to this. Also, it would have been nice to have had the bed made, the bin emptied and the tea & coffee facilities reviewed during our stay. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to our friends and family.

Daniel that works here went out of his way to welcome us and help us after a particularly stressful day (not caused by the hotel or their staff in any way). He was polite, friendly and went the extra mile to be helpful. The bed was a king and I slept like a log, as it was so comfortable. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The pizzas at night were particularly nice. Lovely little hotel overall.

The shower could have been more powerful.

Really lovely stay, whilst the cabin room is cosy shall we say, the room is well decorated, had a great shower too. The decor and furnishings in the hotel are contemporary and well chosen. All the staff we met were really friendly but professional. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Maybe should look to put some hooks for the hand towels near the hand basin.

The hotel is beautifully furnished and had every modern amenity one could ask for. Service was very friendly, and the food was exceptional, especially compared to various other hotels in England on this trip. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, and both were great. We could not have asked for a better experience. The price is not low but correct for the quality offered. My room was spacious and very quiet. The walk into town is only about 10 minutes down a very pretty street.

Great location for visiting the centre of Truro or for taking day drives around Cornwall. The hotel has easy parking and easy access. Room was very comfortable. I was able to leave my luggage and car there early. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not really a problem, but you can sometimes hear guests in other rooms. Im sure its usually not a problem for normal conversations, but I happened to have some very loud people through the wall, including singing at night!

Lovely hotel. Beautiful old building with high ceilings, lots of character features and lovely decor. We were given a very warm friendly greeting on check in, and the staff were great throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet, and well thought out. Bed was comfortable. Really liked the lounge and bar area, great for relaxing and enjoying a drink. Location is great, just a 10 mins walk into the centre of Truro. Good value. Would definitely stay again.

Would have liked there to be a proper cooked breakfast on offer, although the continental breakfast was very good quality.

Public areas nicely renovated, very smart.

The room could have done with somewhere to put a case, a case stool for example. The shower room had towel rails but could have done with somewhere to hang used towels to dry so they didnt need to be changed every day. The towel rail was too small to allow them to dry as they had to be folded to put them on the rail. Breakfast was good but for the price I would expect a cooked option.

Twin room as requested but not as yet part of the refurbishment going on. Decor was very acceptable. Nice to have a blanket on each bed for extra comfort. Beds clean and comfortable. However although the room was small it was adequate for a couple of nights. En-suite shower room was small but the water was hot and powerful. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Evening pizzas were very good. Continental breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful. Parking was a boon.Loved the modern decor.We were happy enough to extend our stay from one to two nights.

Access to upstairs rooms is via a lovely staircase but there is no lift so there are access issues. The hotel is a very short drive from Truro. It is situated on a long fairly steep hill. A reasonably easy walk down for a fit person . Not a suitable walk for anyone with mobility issues. The hotel is developing as a meeting room venue. It will be important not to overlook the needs of residential guests in favour of work groups
