nice touches of fresh milk, bottles of water & wine! biscuits and sweets. spacious room and comfortable. ideal location for beach, station and town and on a quiet road. finally the breakfasts were good.

TV was a bit iffy with reception, but that is being picky!

Period features, spacious, welcome wine and sweets plus bottle of water in the mini fridge. Bed was comfortable. Easy on street parking. Location was perfect for shows at the princess pavilion and only a short walk to the beaches on one side and the town centre on the other. Breakfast is preordered the night before.

Bathroom had no windows so smelt a little musty. The breakfast waitress did not point out the cereal or anything else that may have been available. At breakfast a glass of orange juice had already been poured which was a waste as we did not want any juice. Also yoghurts placed on table, i feel both would be better placed by the cereal to help yourself if you wanted. This meant the table was cramped for room.

The Poltair was really quiet and peaceful, I was in the seagull room and had a lovely view of the sea. Location is great, less than five minutes walk from the Falmouth Town station. The room was spacious and had everything I needed, the fridge was a really welcome addition that you don’t tend to get in UK guesthouses so that was lovely. The owners were so kind and you can tell this is a wonderful family business.

Some of the facilities were a bit old and could use a bit of TLC but for the price you can’t complain. I would’ve preferred individual tubs of milk rather than glasses of it in the fridge but other people might prefer it that way. Lovely stay.

WE were given a HUGE room with double and single bed, balcony and partial sea view, also looking out on to the small garden. The property is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Falmouth and 2 minutes walk from the sea front. You can literally walk out and walk along by the sea. There is also free parking. The rooms are named after seabirds and once you check in and go down to breakfast your table will have the name of the bird on it. There is full English breakfast, along with cereal, fruits and so on. All is clean and comfortable.

Nothing. It was all very satisfactory and I would certainly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Falmouth especially if you need a parking space.

Was only expecting a small single room, but had plenty of space, a bath and shower, spaceous wardrobe and even a little terrace. The host even left a mini bottle of red wine with some dark chocolate toffees. Lovely comfortable double bed, and everything clean and well presented. Brilliant location to town, the beach and the station. The host even gave me and my friend pastries to take to our event as we had to go early and miss breakfast. Breakfast was included in the price and was available each morning and you could preorder a preference. Places to sit outside and enjoy the weather and the views. Lovely quirky guesthouse with lovely host. Great value for money.

Lovely little place, great location, staff were friendly, nice little touches in the room - hairdryer, towels, small bottle of wine and sweets. Great that you had a time slot for breakfast, and could choose what you wanted. Does the job if you want to sleep somewhere. Beds were comfy. The view was nice from the room.

There was damp patches all around around the carpet, there was a murky smell in the air. The milk we had was lumpy so came to change it and there was no-one in reception, when we popped down again there was a sign saying you'd popped out but didn't see anyone for the rest of the stay. Breakfast wasn't great, we decided to go out for breakfast on the 2nd day. No lock on the bathroom door.

Stunning garden, location, great view from our top floor room with a little balcony, fresh cooked breakfast, lovely kind, smiling staff, extras in the room like fresh milk, mini wine, biscuits etc, very clean linen and towels, easy parking.

Decor is tired, dated and shabby. The small details such as button missing on remote, spider webs in corners, shower gel not attached to the wall properly, black marks around the bath, peeling paint and scuff marks on skirting and window frames through out. A small investment in modernising could make this an awesome property

This was our second time staying the Poltair Guest House. We came again to celebrate our anniversary in our favourite Cornish town, Falmouth. The staff are lovely, the breakdown is fantastic, the rooms are clean and cosy. We had Seagull again which is a great room with a wonderful sea view from the little balcony. A real home away from home. We love this Guesthouse and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!

The bed springs were a tiny bit uncomfortable in some places, maybe could do with a foam topper... but this didn't negatively affect our stay.

Location was excellent, lovely building, nice staff, great breakfast. Lovely homely touches in the room. We had a balcony room at the front, which we definitely would have used much more if we’d stayed in warmer months.

Bit dated and tatty in places, could do with a spruce up, and more than just a lick of paint. Shower water pressure wasn’t great in our room, and it dripped. The cooking smells from the private areas have unfortunately permeated throughout the building, including into the room we stayed in where the smell of breakfast was strong. None of this impacted our stay.
