Great place to stay in St Mawes {value for money} - nice size room & comfortable - fantastic help yourself Breakfast with amazing view of the harbour and bay - friendly staff - good central location and easy for a trip to Falmouth on the Ferry.
Our room was above the main entrance and across from the Victory Inn - a little noisy on an evening even with the windows closed which we would have preferred open due to the warm weather - maybe a fan in the room could be provided. - Also as parking was in the Square car park a few hundred yards up the road - we found that getting luggage unloaded was a bit stressful on the main street.

The team were all diligent, helpful and very friendly. The location is fantastic and the breakfast was excellent! The room was large and had a good view, even if it wasn't quite a full sea view, you could definitely see the sea! The rooms were adequettely clean and tidy, but not spotless. Large room, adequettely appointed with hairdryer, hangars, lamp etc.
The room whilst large in size could definitely have used some love. There was very visible cracked or peeling wallpaper in most corners and on the majority of walls and the window was shimmed with cardboard (presumably to avoid rattle in the wind). The drains were a slow to drain, which was a bit disconcerting in the shower - but it did eventually drain and they didn't provide bad fragrances!

Location and room with a balcony overlooking the harbour- superior room. Lovely reception staff who did everything they could to accommodate our request for a nice room. Comfy, large bed. Light and airy, triple aspect room right in the heart of St Mawes. So great our dog is welcome.
We love this hotel but so wish the owners would refurb it to obliterate the outdated, peeling paint and , in places, threadbare carpets. Breakfast rather basic on very small plates. Tables need to be cleared efficiently. Our room was repainted on two of the three walls - bizarre! Balcony a treat but had rusting furniture and badly needed sweeping of debris (request for this ignored) No parking so extra charges incurred. PLEASE UPDATE THIS HOTEL - IT COULD BE SO FABULOUS !!

This is a good value for money place in a idyllic central waterfront location. It was clean and I had everything I needed. Nice clean small bathroom, warm water good water bath pressure, hair dryer in the room. Comfy bed . Good room service. Free wifi
Unfortunately I am not a big fun of English breakfast which I payed for. I stayed for 5 days and the menu did not change for a day , so very quickly I got fed up with the breakfast choices. Not enough of european breakfast choices. No salad no cheese no as served at all , not enough fruits. No warm milk for cereals. No ham.

It was right on the sea front and the views from the room were amazing. The staff were brilliant, they could not have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is front and centre in the town, close to all amenities. I need to say it again, the staff were brilliant, I struggle with mobility and they were so helpful with me. Although there are a couple of steps into the hotel they helped with my mobility scooter, saving me from having to disassemble it and put it in the car boot every night. We had a brilliant time and would definitely return.

Excellent location with fantastic views, right in front of St Mawes port. Stunning little village with unique, beautiful houses, fantastic walks and very often boat transfers to Falmouth. The hotel itself is nice, with spacious rooms and amenities, staff is friendly and helpful. Nice discount voucher for the bar.
Just one thing, that there is actually an hour drive (including 20 mns ferry transfer)to get to St Mawes from Falmouth, even though the route is beautiful - wasn't very clear when we booked, but the location itself is worth driving a bit extra to get there...

A warm welcome on Sunday afternoon, A wonderfully large room with King size and single beds, table and chairs plus desk. It's perfectly situated on the harbour. It had a quirky feel with rooms accessed via corridors and stairs (there was a lift for those who needed it).
It could have been down to it being end of season, but we thought the stairs and corridors to the room looked tired (hopefully a sign of a busy summer season). It felt like home though as I grew up just off Carrick Roads (you'd need to know the area).

Lovely staff both women on reception friendly and helpful and Paul in the bar area was great. Room was clean and Lovely sea view internet was good and Nice hot shower. Amazing value ( for st mawes ) 10/10 location.
We stay a extra night ( different room not sea views ) on the second night we dint get much sleep paper Thin walls. Could hear the doors slamming all morning. As said on other reviews the cleaners speak very Loud and language can be bad.

We had a corner room with two windows, both had lovely views of the area, the staff were all 1st class, and the breakfast was fine. lovely clean and spacious dining area. all the plates of the people who had finished their meals were cleaned away straightaway. Simply can not fault the dining experience here.
the room cleanliness was not the best, cobwebs left in window, and toilet roll not replaced when it needed to be. paintwork on some walls, was in need of finishing, but in general the room was fine for us.
