Breakfast very tasty, beds wonderfully comfortable, staff great and parking available.

If I'm super critical, it would be the lack of choice at breakfast. Only poached eggs (cooked to perfection btw) and no choice of bread for toast. Only granary available.

I booked Yorke Lodge as I had stayed previously for 1 night and been so well looked after. Vicki is an excellent host who really takes the trouble to ensure all her guests have the best possible stay - as a solo female traveller this is much appreciated. The beds are so comfortable with quality linens plus the breakfasts cover a range of excellent choices. The location suits me being central to Canterbury with easy access to the surrounding area. I only book accommodation with off street parking.

The woman Vicky I spoke with the most was very kind and accommodating. Between having a dog, luggage, and a place to change my phone, she helped with it all. The bathrooms are updated as is the breakfast skylight room. Food was delicious and quite a lot. Lasted me all day. It's just a bit out of the way, so much more quiet then staying more in town. If you're ok with a 15-20 min walk into town this is a lovely place to stay.

There is nothing I could say negative about the lodge.

So friendly and welcoming, atmosphere was very warm and homey. They provided great information on local area, restaurants etc. The room was very comfortable (great nights' sleep!), warm, and thoroughly clean. Great breakfast, with a range of options.

It's a lovely old house, but being on the third floor made for a tiring walk up after a long day in Canterbury. Nothing that'd stop us staying again, but worth noting if you struggle with stairs.

Great location. Very welcoming in general (and friendly owner). Comfortable bed and nice consistent hot shower. Good breakfast (hot) to start the day. Quiet. Free-parking (and appreciatively allowed to park my motorbike behind a gate for extra security!).

Not really a minus at all. Best suited for couples/family, I'd say. If you wanted to experience the night-life to full effect, probably best staying elsewhere.

In the nine years I've been in the UK I've never had an experience better than this one. The level of hospitality provided, made us both feel a warmth. Vicky has a rare ability to connect with her guests. She went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (Vicky was thinking for us before us!! ) . Cleanliness was excellent, breakfast was great, room was spacious. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you!

Everything was much better than expected

It is a consistent experience with a very consistently high standard for all guests. The lodge is very close to the town centre, and therefore was an excellent location, Especially as I was going to do Christmas shopping in Canterbury and was well in walking distance to carry our presents to the car parked in front of the lodge.

No complaints about the lodge, location, staff or facilities.

Very good location, about 10 minute walk into town for restaurants, 5 minutes to local convenience stores, excellent choice in breakfast and rooms with the usual refreshments/hygiene products, plus shower robes.

Parking might be a concern, but the front court-yard can fit 3-4 cars. Just be wary of the near-by train crossing, which can cause delays to or from the town centre.

It was a great stay, the rooms are comfortable and made with love and the breakfast is quite good. It‘s ideally located to explore Canterbury, quiet but close to the center. You‘ll have a great stay.

The only strange thing was that I only had a duvet cover but with no duvet inside. As I like to sleep with a light cover, that was no problem for me, so full marks. 😊

Breakfast was brilliant. Terrific choices - best farm-fresh poached eggs I have EVER had. The welcome was warm, Vicky was an exceptional hostess who could not have been kinder or more attentive. I would recommend Yorke Lodge unhesitatingly as one of the best B&B’s in which I have ever stayed.
