The room was spotless and so wonderfully furnished. Hotels are usually all very similar, just a place to lay your head, this place is next level. The little touches made the place feel cared for, made us feel like we actually mattered instead of just being another nameless guest. We couldn't fault the attention to detail, from the little bottles of milk and juice, to the wall mounted fan, to the fluffy hot water bottles. Sitting outside listening to nothing but birds in the adorable enclosed patio brought an extra level of peace and relaxation. The hosts are lovely, friendly people. Great to chat to and give you your space as well, and their little boxer is just a delight. Quick mention of The Sally pub and restaurant down the road, great food, great prices, topped off a wonderful stay.

Mike and Lizzy provided loads of extras such as beer in fridge and a fantastic assortment of breakfast stuff. You could buy beer and wine from them at very reasonable prices and/or use the snack shed. Cosy room. Nice porch. Loads of towels and lovely heated towel rail.

Room needed an extra lamp or two. TV reception made live programmes unwatchable - just white lines most of the time. We did watch Strictly on catch up though. Hot water in sinks was just a trickle - maybe an issue with pressure of heating as cold was great! Beddng was a bit bobbly in parts.

A fantastic little gem of a place. Quiet location. Exceptionally clean and well appointed. It's not big but has all you need and more. Comfortable bed, sml dining table and chairs, microwave, kettle, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, fan, continental breakfast supplies 😋 good sized bathroom. A nice area out front to sit. Lizzy and Mike are wonderful, helpful hosts.

What a fabulous little studio off the beaten track. Great for walkers when in the area. A very welcoming light and easy to access with the key code which was sent earlier in the day. Great choice for breakfast, porridge, cereals, a full loaf for toast or sandwiches. milk and fresh orange juice. plenty of tea, coffee & biscuits. A small but adequate kitchen. There is also a snack shed on the property where you can purchase pot noodles, frozen meals and nibbles at a very reasonable price. Look for Hadrians Wall Snack Shed on Google. A very comfortable bed which can be converted to twins if you request when booking. Shower facilities all very clean.

No improvements required

Location is in a quiet street, small annex adjoined to a house. There was nothing that was not thought of. Tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Milk and fresh orange juice along with a couple of beers in the fridge. Fresh bread with butter, jam etc, also croissants and also tins of beans. There is also a little shop at the front of the building with an honesty box. With other snacks and drinks available. If desired you could purchase alcoholic drinks from the host's home at a very reasonable price.

Excellent accommodation. Clean and comfortable. Well equipped and beautiful location. The owners were lovely and friendly. They looked after us really well and gave us lots of useful information! It is right on the Hadrian’s wall path and they welcomes walker. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

We read some reviews before, learnt over the years to navigate the informative from the whiny. This place is like the old Ronseal advert “ it does what it says on the tin “ After reading reviews I do not understand some of them Liz + Mike are totally honest ,upfront and set expectations on description of this delightful accommodation . A bonus of continental type breakfast of cereal, bread/ toast ,croissant , with jams thrown in as a good will welcome Very clean, nicely decorated ,fantastic en suite,massive bed and kitchenette to cook simple meals and set up your day walking So simply if you want super fast Broad band , fifty choices of coffee and pretend your visiting a historic site ,by driving taking a selfie then go to London ,Carlise ,Edinburgh,Newcastle etc If you want to embrace over 2000 years of history ,disappear, disconnect a bit (they do have mobile signal and Wi-Fi) Then go for it (but not too many people as we want to be able to book again )

Absolutely nothing

What a wonderful place, a real gem! The hosts have really thought of everything and have clearly put a lot of time and effort into the design of the place......which really is a studio apartment as the name suggests! Great value for money, friendly hosts and I could not fault it in anyway! Top marks!!

Nothing, all was excellent!

The room was decorated to a high standard and had everything you need. And extras you didn’t know you needed. I think the situation of the accommodation is very handy for walking or sight seeing in the surrounding area. I spoke to the owner on arrival and was made very welcome. And shown were everything was. I parked right outside the room. Very handy for unloading and loading the car. I would recommend this accommodation and I will use them again.

There was nothing I disliked .

We liked the BnB as it was in the fields on a Hadrians Walk path, and it was very comfortable. Also breakfast included was lovely . And the washing got done after asking, no problem. Little seating area outside. Owners were very friendly at helpful.

It was a bit small but everything was there.
