First class facility, generally first class service across every aspect of the stay. Food was good, staff were professional, keen and friendly.

First impression at reception was not a great experience. I was left in no doubt that my request to access my room 20mins early did not suit the reception staff / company policy. I was "instructed" / advised to sit behind reception and they would call me when my room was available. At 3pm I requested access again and was told I'd need to wait until the ice bucket was sent to the room! I felt I had to "force" the situation to get access, no need for a bucket of ice, which was delivered 10 minutes later but went unused! Reception staff should be more aware of arriving guests requirements and, whilst I understand the discipline of check in from 3pm, there could have been a little flex as the room was actually ready!

This is an immaculately clean, beautifully appointed place to stay around 5 miles from the M6. Perfect stop off point on our way to Scotland. Food was delicious, in particular the breakfast. I had the best tomato omelette I’ve ever had. All the staff were professional, warm and friendly. We will definitely return. 😊

The hotel is of a very high standard and no expense has been spared on the fixtures and fittings.. The room came with a complementary cocktail, beer and sill and sparkling water. Breakfast was excellent and the dining was substantial and good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Staff in the dining room were inexperienced and missed little touches such as promptly clearing away empty plates and pouring wine

The hotel was lovely the room was clean and well decorated with great amenities. We paid for a pet package and it was fabulous lots of extras for the dog and access outside straight from our room. The restaurant and food were great and being able to take the dog was a bonus as it meant we didn’t have to eat in the room. Will definitely recommend and book again if in the area. Thank you!!

We often stop off here on our way home from Scotland and think it would be nice to stay. We were celebrating a special birthday and our wedding so decided to treat ourselves. The hotel, food and service was everything we hoped it would be. Enjoyed it so much we are going to make it our Anniversary get away.

The only small negative I would mention, we were in a ground floor room near the car park, some kind of light privacy covering at the windows would have been good

Stunning and quaint! We loved the decor and the atmosphere of the entire hotel. The free standing tub was opulent and lovely, while the shower was spa like. The room was very large by my experience in the UK thus far. Had a wonderful stay

Price was a little higher than I would have liked. You're certainly paying a premium for the rural area factor. But for a special occasion certainly worth it

This has to be the highlight of our 7 week trip around the UK. This was the best accommodation. I have worked in hospitality and this location does a lot of things really well. Comfortable room, Very comfy bed, great in room facilities, wonderful bathroom - the list goes on.

It’s a new build but a superb one - it has the feel of an old hall. Staff are fantastic and really helpful - we had travel delays which they accommodated very well. There are EV charging points which are run by a separate company but you can leave vehicles overnight to charge.

Only slight issue was one of our breakfasts wasn’t that great - the other was super.

The fleece is a luxurious place to eat, sleep and drink. The food was of a very high quality. service is exceptional Rooms are decorated really nice, the bedding is very comfortable, bathroom is very well appointed. Wifi worked great breakfast is the best I have had at a hotel as long as I can remember.

The decor is fantastic, from the oak beams & furniture throughout to the dog prints on the walls. My description does not really do it justice but the pictures on the web site give you an idea.

Breakfast, full veggie for 1, cereal for 1, tea and toast was a little expensive at £26 Was unable to have a meal there as this is not provided on a Sunday so had to travel 4 miles to nearest hotel.
