It’s a nice pub with lovely helpful staff. If only the staff and management were being helped by the owners Greene King!

Greene King should be ashamed. This could be a lovely hotel but its upkeep is very poor. Do some work on it GK, your current conduct is unfair to customer and cruel on you excellent staff who work so hard!

Great value for money, really good food (especially breakfast) and comfortable room. Quite funny how they add watercress to literally every dish I had, even dessert. Would stay again.

Shower pressure was good but the fittings were broken. There was only a 2 hour window for breakfast (most places have 3-4h at least). VERY dodgy terms & conditions on the wifi access - basically gives the property owner and the wifi provider full access to data on the websites you visit and the information you enter - this should not be legal - do not use unless you have a VPN!

The location was great. Easy access to particular areas. The staff were accommodating, the food was amazing.

The toilet seemed to produce a leak or it was really bad condensation from lack of ventilation in the bathroom after using the shower. The wall with the dressing table against it with the tea coffee etc on it was very stained where what looked like tea bags had been put in to bin by the side of it put not cleaned. However apart from that it was a comfortable trip.

Nice location, easy walk to the village. Great staff, helpful, kind.

The room is in need of some upgrades. Paint needs work - primarily the bathroom & it's door Walls rather dinged up and hastily plastered. Only 1 nightstand - need 2. The top was in need of sanding/repair. Need some counter space in bathroom. Taller table for tea/coffee service Patrons outside our window, talking till nearly midnight

The staff including the cleaners were very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The food and drink was excellent and plenty of it. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

We had a superior room which was large and comfortable but only had one small spotlight in the ceiling, so we had to put all the smaller lights on around the room to get enough light. The bathroom although a good size could do with some updating. Obviously these are only minor issues.

The room was nice and clean - very comfortable - breakfast was lovely and a lot of choice - bed very comfy.

I did not like - that booking direct with yourselves cost £400.00 more - and booking through booking.com was so much cheaper - why???? it should be cheaper to book direct.

I had a ground floor room which was handy as I had several bags. The food was good but the meals too big for me so wasteful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There were headboard lights but you still had to get out of bed to switch them off as they were connected to the main room light which was very dull.

Good sized pub with plenty of indoor seating and more in the beer garden. Evening food was good as was breakfast, made to order. Accommodation in separate building back off the road and quiet. Room was good size and comfy. Friendly staff.

Bench seats inside pub were not good for my back but most folks would probably be fine.

Our stay was made by the wonderful Manager, Yin, who could not do enough for us despite clearly being rushed off her feet. She communicated with us beforehand after we requested an early check in, and on arrival moved things around to facilitate early cleaning of a room so we could freshen up before heading out. She was interested in us and our plans for the day as well as trying to help us with our travel, and was just a wonderfully warm host and all round lovely person! Thank you Yin and team.

The room was fairly basic with a low sloping ceiling in places, but comfortable enough and with all the amenities required.

The location and availability was good the bar and restaurant areas were okay.

Minor items, wallpaper peeling in bar area, room no 7 sink plug, bath trim, mould on the bathroom skirting, no milk fir tea in yhe mornin. Breakfast, okay bacon nit great, grilled tomato hard. New staff limited training.
