We were visiting family so the location was good. We have stayed before so knew roughly what to expect and we weren't disappointed. We had the executive double, 213, instead of the standard double we had on a previous visit and liked the room very much. It was a great size, well decorated and furnished with a really beautiful bathroom and fabulous mirrors. We'll definitely try for it again in the future. Plenty of breakfast choices and on the whole good enough. Great staff, friendly, efficient and obliging.
Just 2 small things which certainly didn't spoil the stay but maybe would have made it even better - a stain on one of the small cushions in the room and on the breakfast, tasteless, pale bacon with white unappealing fat. Shame on both fronts.

It’s a fabulous old inn - several hundred years old - and it still retains its original character. Many of the staff are extremely friendly and approachable - but a couple of them are dilatory and seemingly disinterested.
As a disabled man, with very limited mobility, I always book places to stay that can cater for my needs. We have stayed at The King’s Arms before - and it is perfect for my needs. However, during our recent stay - nobody had informed me (prior to our stay) that, due to the village’s annual Heritage Day, we would have to park the car in their sister-hotel, The Crown (a couple of hundred yards down the road) for a couple of days. The staff in The Crown were superb - and nothing was a bother - but the walking between the venues caused me a great deal of pain. Consequently, I will be reluctant to return.

Perfect location in the centre of Amersham. We were attending a wedding at the venue. On site parking was perfect (we got a space directly opposite our room). We managed to get to breakfast at it’s busiest time but Katrina looked after us so well (not to say that the others weren’t working just as hard) and our well cooked meal came in reasonable time.
Minor problems. Bed could have been more comfortable, very small bathroom sink and a shelf next to the shower for shampoo would have been nice. Not that any of that would put me off staying again.

This is a beautiful property. Extremely well-maintained. It is the Coach House that was the first stop after people leaving London. The atmosphere is of a hundreds of years old tavern yet what they have done is to keep it modern in the best possible way. This is one of the locations where the movie ‘four weddings and a funeral’ was shot On the outside it looks as it is- hundreds of years old, but from the inside the bedrooms are modern with coffee machines, very large, comfortable beds, and modern bathrooms you can see have just been invested in. We had a quiet bedroom just as requested, and the staff were fantastic and responsive in any inquiries. The other thing I must say is that the food was wonderful. We had a couple of dinners there and they were catering for the conference that we were attending in a beautiful old venue, and if anything I would say, the food was too much!
We had a large cupboard, however, it was obviously being used by housekeeping to store all those spare cushions for the corridor! Given the size of bedroom, it was surprising that we only had one drawer to put our clothes into, unless you use the tiny little bedside drawers. In regards to the food, as I have said, it was fantastic but the buffets provided for our small conference of about 20 people was way too much food and that should’ve been adjusted after they saw how much was left over from the first lunch. After the third lunch, we asked what happens to the leftover food and were gutted to hear that it gets thrown out. Surely there must be a Charity nearby that this amazing property can support?

Very pretty area, nice looking building, location was good. Rooms were clean and towels and bedding clean. Was easy to get to the next town via taxi. Staff were very friendly and professional and helpful.
Bed was quite small, quite a basic looking room. The shower tap in the bathroom came off in my hand as it was not attached properly, and water leaking out the the side pipe. I just had to twiddle around until I got the shower working correctly. The breakfast, whist edible was not the best. I asked for my bacon crispy and arrived burnt!! Did not point this our as I do not like to complain.

All staff polite and smiling. The gentleman on reception Sat 6th July evening was so friendly and told us all about the film history and made us feel so welcome. Thank you to him. Really peaceful location, oil radiator in the room. Loved the food … the best vegetarian burger and chips I think I’ve ever had. Comfortable and spacious room. Would recommend a stay here.
If I have to find something but don’t want to sound Uber critical .. we weren’t offered sauces at dinner and probably would have asked if someone had checked in with us during our meal. It didn’t spoil the meal. Cleaning services changed towels but didn’t remove the full bin sack I left out. The website had said walking maps would be available at reception (and I did request) but there were none. However the staff worked hard to find one.

Staff were excellent and the property was very clean and tidy. Our room was lovely and breakfast was good.
The windows in our suite are single glazed due to the age of the property but the curtains did not block out the really bad drafts coming through. They did not reach the sill so I had to use the bath towels rolled up to block the draft coming through at the bottom. Also where our room was, was directly over the kitchen so was very noisy at times with voices and the emptying of bottles into bins.

Really good location and big car park. The room also had air conditioning. Staff were first class and really friendly without being over the top. Jay is a top bloke.
Nothing really. It is a very old building with a new annex block with rooms so you have a choice where to stay. The bar and reception-dining area could probably do with a little spruce up but not too much as it would lose its character

It was in a perfect place near everything and it was clean and bright, modern furnishings but still keeping the quaintness of the property. The bedrooms were really comfortable had everything you needed. Kettle with tea and a coffee machine, hairdryer plenty of sockets for things. The bathroom was clean and modern loved the shower nice and big perfect. The staff were really really helpful and lovely very friendly and always smiling. To be fair can’t really pick one as they were all perfect so helpful, from the reception to the bar staff and the waitress in the restaurant, everyone gave perfect service. The food in the restaurant in the evening was amazing so good and tasty and it’s such a cosy restaurant. The breakfast was good plenty of food and a nice large pot of tea and coffee happy days. Anyway can’t fault this hotel at all will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Nothing perfect

The Breakfasts and location and staff were great. It seems unusual for such choice in cooked breakfast, which I am grateful for and took advantage of.
The television signal was very intermittent, which seemed to be fixed at one point of my four night stay, but then the problem returned. I cannot say it spoilt my holiday but it was annoying on return late evening to not be able to watch something, and similarly before Breakfast. Thank you.
