You never know what you're going to find when you book a budget hotel but as a hotel housekeeper myself I was very impressed. Yes the building is a little tired but I couldn't fault the cleanliness and the comfortable bed. Free car parking at rear so no worries looking for cheapest car parks. All round excellent value. Continental breakfast, but get down early for best choice. Good location, only 8 mins walk to Wycombe Swan theatre, the reason for my trip.
Little to not like. And at the price I would feel bad complaining about anything. If pushed I'd say the shower head could be updated.

This hotel is placed very conveniently near the town centre. It was quiet, the rooms were clean and very warm. For those with disabilities there are two steps up from reception to the corridor for 'ground floor' rooms. The rooms may look a bit tired but a very clean and tidy. We had a comfortable bed and there were minimal outside noises, There is no bar in the hotel and none close around, so a quiet night's sleep is possible! There is adequate parking at the rear. There was no view from our room on ground floor, but we could open a window to get ventilation. The room had electric ventilation which might be required in the summer. There was a waste bin in the bedroom and another in the bathroom (very unusual, and very useful!)
Although the WC and wash basin appeared to have been recently installed and were spotless, the floor covering was old but not worn through - just a bit tired-looking. The hotel was on a steep hill - if you are having difficulty walking, just be aware.

Cleanliness and staff - all staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Included in the rate was breakfast, very simple but just as good if not better than many chain budget hotels and the coffee was much, much better! The rooms are basic, but clean, with clean fresh bedding and towels and everything you need for stay. We felt safe and comfortable, brilliant location and exactly what we needed for our trip.
This is a budget hotel. No pretensions. It delivered exactly what it said it would, and I have absolutely no complaints and only praise for supplying fresh filtered coffee for breakfast.

I had an exceptional stay at Abbey Lodge! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The entire place was spotless, reflecting high standards of hygiene, which made us feel truly comfortable. The amenities provided were great value for money, with thoughtful provisions that made my stay easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere was peaceful, and everything was just perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!
Kindly turn off the Television downstairs after 12 am. I could hear it until 3 am in the morning. My room was 39.

Beds were comfortable Toiletries were supplied Close to the shopping centre The staff was very polite, had a good sense of humour, and had very good customer care
Would have been better if a hair dryer was supplied It had a couple of chips in the enamel in the bath A crack In the sink The room was rather dusty, eg tops of picture frames, And the dressing table. Noisy neighbours above us. But it did not put us off, as they were not major issues

The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Good size bathroom with a full length bath. Tea and coffee making facilities and spare items readily available at front desk. NIce quiet hotel close to centre.
As has been stated previously this is an older style B&B. I liked the ambiance and because I expected it was happy with it. The Breakfast bar could be a bit neater set out but all in all fantastic value.

It was a definite improvement on my former visit. The room had everything I needed for a room at that price and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't see much of the staff, but those that I did meet on reception were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was inclusive and was excellent with a good choice of items. I am coeliac and this isn't catered for, but I took my own bread and a toast bag and was able to make toast in the toaster.
Front door access not easy - the door was "sticking", so not so easy to get in with luggage. The frontage could be more attractive.

For the price it was perfect, nothing fancy but everything I needed, friendly and clean, did exactly what it said on the tin. Staff were good about letting me check in a bit early
the bed could have been a little comfier, the kettle did not fit under the tap and a blind that did not rattle in the wind would have helped me sleep better. But overall nothing major to complain about

Excellent location, parking on site and it included breakfast. Town is just down the hill and so is the train station which takes you directly to London. Fabulous hotel, great value for money. Room was clean, 24 hour reception, and very good breakfast included. Comfortable bed and lovely shower, staff were good.
Nothing tbh, but yes the main communal areas do need a face lift. Stains on the carpets and chairs. Yet the rooms are refurbed. You have a good value price for a London hotel. Can't fault it
