Great location and price was brilliant. Room was clean, bedding and towels were great quality, lots of hangers and storage space, staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious and cooked to order with a large portion for a hungry husband. We didn’t eat at the pub but the pizzas looked absolutely amazing. A great base for a little weekend break, and we would definitely stay again.

If I had to be really picky I didn’t like the bathroom flooring and feel like it could do with updating, and there was no full length mirror in the room. May be a bit early in the year yet but I’d imagine during summer a fan in the room would be good as it got quite hot during the night.

Bath very slippery for showering. A bath mat would be good. Wouldn't choose to eat an evening meal there as room is very basic and has a large TV in there but I understand that's an area predominantly for drinking also but ideal for breakfast. Breakfast chef very nice guy and asked if we had enough. Thank you all.

Always a wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Made up breakfasts for us as we had an event early in the morning and had to leave at 6.30am. Great breakfast on the day we had it, good evening menu.

The only reason I didn't put excellent for comfort is that rooms are exceptionally warm, there are huge fans provided but they are super noisy. I'd definitely stay again and ha e stayed a few times, next time I'll take my own fan which is quieter.

The Prince of Wales is a quaint old pub with quaint old accommodation rooms tastefully and comfortably refurbished. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the property is clean, the location is convenient to High Street shops, eating establishments parks and gardens and the Thames Path (in fact Mill Street is part of it), and the off street parking is very handy. It is close enough to High Street but without the noise and traffic. Excellent value for money

I have no material dislike

The location was perfect for me,I was at a wedding close by and needed somewhere to stay for the night, the prince of wales suited my needs perfectly. The breakfast was perfectly adequate. Having had some very hot weather lately I was very happy to have a bedroom with an open window giving the room a nice airy feel. I slept very well.

For the money I can’t criticise,very clean, bedding and linen cup of tea in the morning and a nice shower 👍

Staff are very helpful and friendly,the pub itself is typically a local pub not far from the town in fact location was good. Seems enough room on car park . Breakfast was good , the bed in our room was a king-size and was comfortable for us we slept well, decent towels large and fluffy shower worked well as you would expect, room was clean.

Unfortunately the room itself needs a bit of TLC, the backing wallpaper needs to be repasted to the wall especially round the window, and repainted , lot's of tv wires hanging down from wall mounted tv, a few hours work by a good DIYer would have this room on form. We still had a good weekend but the room did let it down a bit.

Lovely cooked breakfast and you can choose what you want from a good choice of food. Would have liked fresh coffee but not a problem.The beds were so comfortable and the pillows and linen was very good.

Would have liked it to be a little later check out maybe 10-30am instead of 10-00. It would be more chance to relax a bit more after breakfast. But I know we are a minority as we like to get up a bit later on holidays.

The location was good close to the high street and the property was quite roomy. It was clean, comfortable and airy. You can open the windows from both sides of the room and you can have a nice breeze through it.

There was no information about the local amenities in the room. There was no information about the WiFi also, and a settled smell from the kitchen was coming into the room. I think the bathroom needs a bit of update with some selves so you can put your toothbrush etc. I think at least one EV charger would have made a lot of difference for the property.

Location brilliant, staff were amazing, the room was fantasic, everything we needed. Loved the decor and the beds were very comfortable. Really lovely stay Breakfast was fantastic too. Choice of cereals and full cooked breakfast...

Would have liked to have been able to turn down the towel rail in the bathroom - was a little too warm!
