If your travels to a match at Wembley Stadium were to take you down the M40, and if you're prepared to make a weekend of it then we would look no further. We stayed the two nights either side and found the experience a really enhanced pleasure. The welcome was exceptionally warm, the room large and comfortable and the food tasty and plentiful. Extremely pleasant gardens in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and post-match celebratory ones on return. (Shame that bottled ale had to replace the hand-pulled option, and that bar prices were high, though that came as no surprise so it wasn't to mar our weekend.) Good car parking and ten minutes' walk to the station where three trains an hour even on a Sunday will deliver you to Wembley in just a fifteen minute ride. Very impressed that the hotel recognised that it was our Wedding Anniversary (stated when phoning in advance to book table) and marked the occasion with both congratulations on check-in and with a specially prepared dessert - a sincere Thank You for that. All in all a memorable visit and, should circumstances fall in our favour in coming seasons, one we would be only too happy to repeat.

Room - slightly small but good. Bed comfy. Breakfast lovely.

Menu- same menu from a year ago and not very exciting. Would have eaten each night in hotel but ended up going out after first night service. Menu is very boring and no variety or specials pointed out. Had to ask kitchen if we could have desserts ??? wouldn't you think that the kitchen would wait knowing they had served food and one would stay behind to see if we would like desserts. Ordered main food 8.45 but felt we were an inconvenience.

All main areas are clean and nicely decorated Main bar is very spacious with plenty of seating Staff on the bar were extremely friendly and efficient, even bringing your drinks to the table when ready Beautiful garden with spacious seating area for outside dining and/or drinks Reception staff very friendly and knowledgeable All the staff around the hotel extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. Extremely large and very comfy bed, slept like a log

Room a little dated, with cracked/holes in tiles in the bathroom, gaps where wall tiles meet the floor tiles

The reception and all your staff were always smiling from start to finish of my stay. Breakfast outstanding. Very happy chef. Rooms were lovely and clean and exceptionally well equipped with a safe, etc. It was my first time being there and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again and recommend to my friends and family. Felt refreshed and had time to read, and the gardens were well looked after. All staff would go the extra mile for you.

Can't really say anything that I didn't like. Everything was amazing.

Very well kept and clean, in good repair. The room was spacious and clean, and had a fridge which was really useful. Bathroom was clean and spacious and the shower was really good, nice and powerful. Gardens we’re very well kept and looked lovely in their autumn colours. The staff were excellent- well turned out, very friendly, polite and efficient and the right level of attentive. Breakfast was a good selection, well cooked and nice and hot.

We didn’t get much of a ‘tour room is here, breakfast is here’ when we checked in- It is a large property and it would be easy to get lost, there wasn’t even a ‘building layout’ diagram for fire exits. If I’m being reeeeaally picky- you could see where the bath panel had been taken off and re-sealed using gaffer tape. It had been well done, but even so.

I liked the plentiful parking and that the spaces were realistic for modern vehicle sizes. The staff - reception and restaurant- were bright and welcoming. My room was spacious and very comfortable. It was quiet and I slept well. Dinner was ok, but the mushy peas were more like a sauce. Breakfast was great! Overall an enjoyable stay. I'd definitely book in to this hotel if I visited the area again.

Dust along the base of the bed; the bath tap wouldn't turn on, so the bath was out of use to me. Also, it was difficult, at times to turn the shower taps, and to stop the shower dripping.

Liked everything. Buzzy place. Extremely comfortable. Room was chilly on arrival but the heating soon changed that. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Sheets were clean and comfortable too. Bath great. Stayed just the one night as dined out locally for a friend’s birthday. Happily stay here again. Breakfast very nice with lots of choice. Staff pleasant, friendly and welcoming. Bonus of a complimentary drink of your choice if made a booking via Booking.com. Receptionist failed to advise us of this on arrival, so enjoyed Bellinis with breakfast.

Possibly a tad dated in the communal areas.

Good location. The hotel lobby, dining area/bar area/breakfast area were all very comfortable and tastefully done and all of my interactions with the staff were courteous, polite and professional. As for my room (Exec Double); it was well decorated with nice furniture, and was of a good size. The bathroom was also sizeable with a large walk-in shower. The bed was just firm enough for me… not too soft and not too hard, also with soft, puffy pillow. The room has a fridge, tea/coffe making facilities, with iron/ironing board, TV with a good choice of channels. With regards to the location, one is within a 3-5 minute drive into town, if that. Other locations within a short driving distance, are Chalfont St. Peter, Amersham, Beaconsfield. Access to major motorway networks such as M40, M25, M4. From Gerrards Cross train station, it is 20 mins into Marylebone on the straight through/fast service. Lots of places to walk in the surrounding area. Within 30 minutes one can be in Windsor, but I’d suggest taking the road route through Stoke Poges and through Slough, thus avoiding M25/M4 traffic. All-in-all, the Bull is a nice hotel indeed.

Having been let down by British Airways who cancelled our flight and then after 5 hours of waiting in limbo told us to find our own accommodation I booked three rooms at 11pm - on arrival the night receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms offered everything we could ask for at such late notice. Due to having to return to LHR by 6am we did not have breakfast but this was no fault of the hotel

Felt like new furnishings, exceptionally clean! We had a really comfortable stay.

The first room I was given faced a wall and car park, but they were happy to change when I asked for other availability. It does slightly beg the question why I wasn’t given the other room first as my reservation with bookings.com included an executive room with garden view. Probably just a simple error, but am pleased they didn’t grumble when I asked to change and helpfully checked to make sure I was happy with the new room which I was. I really liked that.
