We loved everything about our stay at Eight Bells Inn. The building is beautiful and full of charm. Despite the age of the Inn, the accommodations were perfect— everything was clean, our room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and bedroom were spacious. The staff were so incredibly kind and went out of their way to ensure we were well cared for. The location was ideal. Chipped Campden was quieter than some of the other towns but still had so much to offer, all within walking distance from the Inn. And while we could have ventured off to eat at other restaurants, we rarely did because of the delicious offerings Eight Bells had. Do yourself favor and stay at Eight Bells. You won’t be disappointed.

The location was perfect for spending 4 days exploring the Cotswolds and Chipping Camden was a lovely town to return to each day and a delight in itself. The room was ample sized and spotless although the bathroom was a bit snug. The cookies and bottled water in the room were appreciated. Not being big breakfast eaters, there was plenty to choose from and customize. We also had reservations two evenings in the Pub and enjoyed delicious dinners. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The window opened to the patio which was a bit noisy for awhile but the remaining nights it was cold outside so thus, quiet.

Fabulous old pub with everything you would expect from staying in the Cotswolds. The breakfasts were generous and yummy and the food generally was great with all the expected dishes. The staff were all extremely friendly and the bar area is cosy and full of chatty crowds every evening. We were close to some great walks and the village still feels like it has actual residents, not just tourist shops and short stay holiday lets. We could also get around the rest of the area easily. Room was small but comfortable and the shower room/toilet worked well with the basin out in the room itself.

Our room overlooked the internal courtyard and the smoke from patrons and staff came up into the room through the small window so we had to keep it closed. Would recommend booking a room with a different aspect unless you are a smoker yourself or you don't mind closed windows!

The property was an authentic 14th century inn. It was very quaint and had been converted to modern accommodation including its own en-suite. It was centrally located , had its own bar and restaurant and the staff were very warm and friendly . Breakfast was included and was very nice .

There wasn’t much when you consider the historical nature. The shower was quite tiny for a man but in the space was wonderfully fitted . The room was quite noisy as it was over the outdoor garden but the noise only lasted till around 9 pm so was bearable.I suppose the noise comes with staying at a pub.

The Eight Bells Inn is the quintessential English pub experience. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed by its charming stone exterior and warm, inviting atmosphere. We stayed in room 5 after 24 hours since leaving Perth and were genuinely impressed. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, offering a perfect night’s sleep in a quiet, peaceful location. You’d never guess you’re just a short stroll from the centre of Chipping Campden – it’s a true hidden gem. The pub itself is wonderfully quaint, with traditional low beams, cosy fireplaces, and a great selection of local ales and hearty food. Whether you're enjoying a pint in the beer garden or curling up inside after a walk through the Cotswolds, it ticks all the boxes. A perfect blend of history, comfort, and charm – we couldn’t fault a thing. Highly recommended.

Bedroom was quiet, clean, pleasantly warm and had all we needed. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

I knew in advance that I was going to have to park in the street, but when we arrived in the afternoon there were no parking spaces anywhere near the hotel and I had to park about 200 yards away and carry baggages in from there. The bedroom was fine (room 7) but the very low beam across the passage between outer and inner door came as a surprise. Although we managed fine, and it gave the room character, and made the visit memorable, it could have been difficult for anyone who would find bending double difficult. There should have been some prior warning of this (I don't think I missed something at the booking stage but its possible I did)

We had a wonderful stay overall. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all our meals there were amazing, particularly the Sunday roasts and Chicken and Pork pies. We had great weather and it was fun having a pint on their outdoor terrace. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the shower a pleasure to use. I highly recommend this Inn for a visit to Cotswolds. Rick Steeves was bang on when he highlighted the Eight Bells Inn.

The pillows could have been a bit softer, that’s it.

Our stay at the Eight Bells Inn in Chipping Campden was wonderful!! I wanted to find a cozy bed and breakfast in the Cotswolds that offered a nice pub meal with a good atmosphere and a delicious English breakfast in the morning- and we got exactly that!! The room was really nice. We only stayed one night, but I could have happily stayed there a weekend or longer! There was lots of room to unpack and settle in. Chipping Campden is a quintessential English village with lots to see as you stroll around with friendly people and local businesses. Everything was in walking distance of the Eight Bells Inn. Definitely recommend!

We loved our room which had plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. Staff were very nice and the breakfast was good. The pub had a nice warm atmosphere. And the beautiful church around the corner (where the name - Eight Bells - comes from) is truly beautiful. This added to the historic feel of this 14th century inn. We really enjoyed our stay.

There could have been proper shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. I brought my own because it is a pub so not really expected but prices are in the hotel range.

We went to the Eight Bells for dinner because my husband was given a voucher for his 50th birthday last year. We decided to stay the night as well and were glad that we did because the food and the drink were wonderful, the staff were fab and the Inn itself is lovely! Would definitely go back again as it is quite near to us and we would love to try their Sunday lunch!

Everything was lovely - we had no complaints at all. The shower was a bit fiddly in the bathroom but that was about it really - We would love to go back and recommend the place to people who want to explore the village as it is in a great location and isn't overpriced
