We booked Foxhill Barn as an overnight treat to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. We were met at the door by a very friendly Jan and shown to the family room which was very comfortable ( best nights sleep in a long time) with beautiful views of the countryside. The bathroom was large with both shower and huge jacuzzi bath. Breakfast the next morning was set up in the farm's kitchen with both Pete and Jan hosting. The food was top quality and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Bought a couple of hand made gifts that were on display. Will definitely be going back.
Nothing.

Beautiful converted barn with fabulous views. Peaceful location. Jan and Pete were wonderful hosts - very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Comfy beds and gloriously powerful, hot shower in our own private bathroom and plenty of towels available, as well as a thick, warm dressing gown to borrow. A choice of continental and delicious cooked breakfast, including vegetarian option, with homemade jams on offer, as well as hot tea/coffee, orange juice, cereals and toast, all served in their fabulous home kitchen/dining room. Plenty of natural light and views of the garden, fields and surrounding countryside. Delightful! There was space to park just outside, so easy for loading and unloading baggage. Many thanks. We would definitely stay again!
Those with poor memory/sense of direction, like us might have benefitted from a number/name/picture on the bedroom/bathroom doors...but really not a big deal.

What a lovely little find!! I attended a wedding at Stirk House and Foxhill Barn was only a 6/7 minute drive away at a third of the price for a room at Stirk House! It had absolutely everything you could possibly need - from toiletries to a bible in the drawer! One thing I especially loved was the attention to detail to make your stay feel extra comfortable. For example, the towels were lovely and oversized and there were plenty of them!!! (Something I feel a lot of places lack) The washing up powder used was also so fresh! I never met Janet, but Peter was a phenomenal host! He greeted me at breakfast and made me feel so comfortable and at ease whilst he cooked my breakfast (delicious!!) fresh in front of me. I would most definitely recommend Foxhill Barn to anyone!

The breakfast was excellent - especially cooked to specific requirements and dietary needs, with patience and individual attention throughout. The rooms were clean and the building had character, alongside being maintained and kept to a high standard. The availability of the lounge to sit in allowed for space to relax and socialise outside of ones room. The host accommodated needs for arrival and pets in the environment - so without any doubt put their guest first.
The bathroom was spacious, clean and well resourced. I was only surprised to see it was separate not en-suite. Given the heavy fire door to my room, I felt conscious when moving between the two of noise. I would have preferred an integrated shower room.

We are planning to stay there again, so that says it all! The location was idyllic; gentle rolling countryside with expansive views, blissfully peaceful. Our hosts Jan and Peter matched their beautiful home and surroundings. There was not a thing they could have improved on. Magnificent breakfasts set us up for the day, with every taste catered for. Lovely cosy bedrooms and a lounge with a fire available for our use. Foxhill Barn could not be improved on. Thank you Jan and Peter
A very little niggle- a stronger light by my bed so I could read before sleep- but the problem of poor sight is really mine rather than jan and Peter's!

Fantastic rural location, very comfy rooms, family room was great for travelling with friends as we had two good sized bed comfy beds, the property was immaculate and very well kept and the owners were welcoming. Cooked breakfast was amazing, very fresh with good quality products. I highly recommend staying here.
Couldn’t fault it

Pete was an absolutely fantastic host! He was so attentive and explained everything so well! The room was spacious and comfy and had everything you needed! The bathroom was massive, clean and had all the toiletries you would need. The view from the room was stunning and picturesque. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic; toast, jams, cereal, fried breakfast, tea, coffee and juice. Everything was cooked fresh so food was piping hot! Even got to meet the lovely biscuit! Can’t wait to try the jams and preserves we bought too! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! 10/10 recommend!
Nothing everything was fab!

Foxhill Barn is situated well away from the main road and therefore quiet. The views were marvellous, both when we arrived and in the morning putting us in a splendid mood for the excellent breakfast. And what a breakfast! A superb full English, backed up by excellent toast, homemade jams and marmalade and plentiful coffee. The last word has to go to the friendly and efficient owners, made us welcome and arranged our evening meal in Gisburn. I recommend a stay here definitely.
Nothing major, but I would recommend bigger signs on the A682 whether coming from north or south.

Peter was a truly exceptional host! Friendly and welcoming, it was such a lovely greeting when we arrived. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the bathroom was spotless. The full English breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long while. My friend and I both had 'unexpected health hiccups' and Peter went above and beyond to help accommodate us. If it was possible to give 11 out of 10, we would 😃

The best B&B I've stayed in! We had a wedding in Gisburn, so we picked Foxhill Barn as it was close to the venue. A beautiful part of the world, with lovely views of Pendlehill. The jewel in the crown isn't the delicious full English breaky, but the owners Jan and Pete, a lovely couple that was a true pleasure to meet. The rooms are lovely and clean with your own bathroom.
