Perfect location to end our first day of the West Highland Way. Carolyn was very welcoming despite us arriving a little bit early. There was a biscoff blondie for each of us in our room which was just what we needed. We didn't fancy the 30 minute walk into Drymen so decided to have Carolyn's homemade pizzas which were delicious! We enjoyed watching the hens and ducks out the window of our room and the B&B made us feel very relaxed after our day of walking. Breakfast was fantastic with a full Scottish breakfast on offer as it was the weekend, and Carolyn gave us some insight on what to look forward to on the rest of our journey.

Carolyn and Steve were super friendly, warm, and helpful hosts. They also made amazing homemade pizzas and a delightful full scottish breakfast for us. Lewis gave me a lovely tour of Altquhur Byre’s history! A really beautiful home with comfortable beds and very nice rooms. Car spots available in front of the house. Nice details like homemade soap. A short drive to nearby walks and nature. Definitely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in on my trip so far!

Excellent B and B positioned on the West Highland Way. Very clean and comfortable. Carolyn was a superb host and fantastic cook - enjoyed our pizza's and full cooked Scottish breakfast. Thankyou Carolyn x

Everything was perfect but if I was to give one suggestion for improvement I would recommend a comfortable chair positioned in the sunshine. We had lovely weather and I enjoyed sitting outside listening to Audible and watching the Swallows sweep and dive.

Comfortable large room, with a nice bathroom, and everything you need. The owners and their dog (who had a very friendly bark hello in the morning, nothing to worry about) were really welcoming, and Carolyn’s breakfasts had nice variety. I had continental breakfast as that’s what’s on weekdays, and they were a great set up for the day if you’re off out for a walk. Drymen (pronounced Drimmen) is only about 30 minutes walk away to get to a nice pub / restaurant, and the property is on the West Highland Way.

Beautiful place in full naturel environment. Lovely to be able to sit outside and watch the swallows going up and down. They seem to spend a lot of effort on eco friendly environment. Helpful message to book your restaurant. Petty the horses were out on the field. Would have liked to meet them. Laat but not least super soft kingsize bed. Thanks again for your hospitality. Hope we can come back again.

Great hosts made us feel welcome! Loved the property and the room was very comfortable and cozy! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were very nice! Great spot right along the West Highland Way for walkers. Breakfast was excellent! Enjoyed watching the chickens! And the fresh eggs with breakfast were delicious!! It was very clean!! Appreciated the little cookies when we arrived.

This was such a homely and welcoming place. The owners received us like members of their own family. The room was cozy and comfortable, and breakfast was served in the family’s own kitchen — a lovely touch! Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we truly felt at home here. PS Make a reservation when you want to dine in Drymen.

The property manager was incredible and kind. Going out of their way to provide recommendations and make sure we were comfortable. We stayed here as we were doing the west highland way and we thrilled for it be right off the trail. They also have a little bakery box and we absolutely loved the baked goods we purchased before heading on our route.

Everything was perfect

Aggie the dog 😍 Host Carolyn was very friendly and is clearly a great baker/cook. We had a lovely dainty cheese scone along with our breakfast that was very tasty in addition to the yummy traybake we enjoyed on our arrival the previous afternoon. Also appreciated the efforts to provide environmentally friendly products.

Warm and welcoming. Large room with lovely furnishings and the bathroom done to a very high standard. Carolyn was fantastic, offered great recommendations and although we list power due to a storm, she still made a warm and filling breakfast

Nothing (but if you’re not hiking the west highland way maybe better to have a car)
