Location was great, Drymen is lovely. Loved the huge pool and so many facilities like sauna , steam, gym, squash court. Very friendly and helpful lady serving breakfast

Could’ve been more information re the spa as I couldn’t find anything online to pre-book. Also had to ask about access rather than being told when checking in. Some staff seemed a bit uninterested.. waiting at reception a while only to be asked “if there was something we wanted “ asked for an iron and was given a surly reply and no iron .. asked someone else the next morning and they were happy to help

Ignore the reviews. We hesitated about staying here for 4 nights instead staying just 1 night. How we regretted it and wished we had gone for the 4 nights. True, it isn't  a flash hotel BUT  the negative  reviews seem a little harsh. We found  this hotel traditional  and welcoming  in style. All the staff were helpful and friendly.  The hotel has a nice cosy comfortable  lounge to relax in . Breakfast was good and again staff helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable.  We had 2 rooms . One of these rooms had to be accessible and after a very helpful  and friendly  phone call we were allocated  a room on the ground floor, which suited our needs. This room was comfortable, clean with a comfy bed however the room itself was quite small , this was less important  to us than the need for level access. The 2nd room upstairs was a lot larger and smarter and would have been our preference if there had be a lift but saying that the ground floor room was adequate and served our needs, we would have been happy to stay longer in this room Both rooms are  traditional in style and clean and comfy. The location  is a perfect base if walking the WHW being within easy reach of several of the main route points. I would recommend  this hotel as a good honest  hotel ,clean, traditional, no thrills necessarily but good service, helpful staff . It is  a traditional  hotel in Scotland, with individual character  and charm,we would stay again.

The hotel is currently undergoing a makeover and will look lovely once the work is completed. However the hotel was still lovely just in need of a little freshening up. It was worth upgrading to the executive room which was lovely and spacious and the bed was so comfortable and I had a fantastic night's sleep. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the swimming pool and facilities were lovely too. I cannot speak highly enough of the food, we had a 3 course meal and then breakfast in the morning and the food both times was amazing. I love visiting this hotel and especially love the beautiful surroundings and the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. I will be back again for another visit soon.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Pricing was good. Not cheap but in line with what you expect in hotel. The pool and sauna were great. Food was brilliant. Really spacious nice relaxing place to go

TV didn't work. Phone was dead so couldn't call reception. Tried on mobile but no answer. Fire alarm went off a few times as one of the guests hadn't shut door when using shower. Had to get out of bed and go out into the snow. I'm probably nit picking a little here. The friendliness and attentive nature of the staff probably made up for any shortcomings

Staff was amazing helpful manager was very attentive helping with medical needs and food requirements very polite well mannered staff entertainment was great low down room great for mobility all in all a wonderful time hope to stay again thankyou x flowers nice too and drinks were great

As have mobility disability pool was down a hill had to climb back up with help though pool was amazing loved it easier access would be good for pool toilets for disability etc staff at pool amazing too very helpful

Everything, the room the location the facilities the friendly team . I really enjoyed my time at the hotel and made full use of the fabulous hospitality and facilities on offer . From checking in to leaving the service was exemplary. In speaking to the new manager he has a clear plan for the direction he wants the hotel to go with and I believe he’ll get there with ease. The only thing I would say is look at expanding the options in the evening meal menu as I felt it was limited although the food I had was really good. I all a good stay nothing negative to say all positive for me personally and I will be back soon 👍

The bed was large and comfortable. The spa facilities were very good. The staff were very friendly. The fact that large coach parties had a separate room for meals.

When we visited I hate to say it but we were too hot in the room and could not regulate it. No milk available at breakfast despite there being a spar a couple of hundred yards away, I understand that the staff are not authorised to go out and buy but management should have a policy and process in place to overcome these issues

It has been done up in places since the last time we visited , like the pool area and the conservatory and it had a great feel. Also the staff was exceptional! Friendly and polite but in a very genuine way not the “it’s your job to smile” way. They were all really lovely and very helpful.

Very very small detail were the flat pillows a little bit for us but still took nothing away from enjoying our stay.

i couldn't use the spa as i wasn't aware i had to bring my own towel/gown and as i book massage which was earlier than my check in i had no access to towels ,food was amazing apart from breakfast as we where not told we had a choice of eggs ,did not see the sign till after we had pucked our breakfast if we where made aware of that entering the restaurant for breakfast we would have requested our choice and potato scones were deep fried which ruined them
