The room was very clean and well located. TV was a smart tv. The bed was very comfortable.

The room with loch view overlooked an astro turf roof, which was disappointing. The room is nice but very small. Also, the signs in the room could be more polite and less aggressive sounding. A £50 deposit was requested, which I thought was against anything we spent in the bar. This was actually a security deposit for breakages, which was taken and still hasn't been refunded despite staff saying it will be returned within 2 days. Overall, it's not somewhere I would return to as it's very expensive for what you get.

Location is very good. Good stopover on a route north. Easy to find. Check-in was easy and informative. Room small but lovely.

Breakfast was okay, only one coffee was offerred. The continental selection was basic, croissants were small, in a plastic wrapper and soft so not nice. Several cooked options were at an extra cost. I had booked a lake view room. Door opening was a puzzle, a stiff lock that finally gave with brute force. 'Lake view' was simply a view of the restaurant roof with a slither of water to be seen in the distance, even from the small patio area.

Room was compact but tastefully decorated. TV had a good range of channels. Room was cosy and warm. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the most relaxing experience with an amazing view. There was lovely calming music playing. Your choice of breakfast was cooked to order.

If you don't manage to park outside the hotel, you have a wee bit of a walk if you are carrying lots of baggage. The room didn't really have anywhere to put your suitcase. Walls are a wee bit thin so you are reliant on having considerate 'neighbours' It would have been really lovely it there had been a wee space to sit and relax. I did however visit the coffee shop which was lovely. Strawberry tarts are to die for.

Absolutely Beautiful Hotel Location Food Staff PERFECT You would not be disappointed staying at this beautiful Hotel very highly recommended and will definitely be going back. The surrounding area is lovely and with better weather a boat trip along the Loch would be something we look forward too. Our Room was lovely bed very comfortable and also had a Balcony with views overlooking Loch Lomond All Restaurants are very pretty and have views overlooking the Loch especially the main Alexandria restaurant for delicious evening meals and Cocktails. Absolutely Perfect.

Cannot think of one thing we did not like.

Last minute booking for some chill time away. The hotel was amazing very clean and the staff were amazing. We stayed in room 5 which was lovely and had a lovely little garden and access to walk around to the seating at the loch( although if someone was in that room I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking around to use the seating) . The room was sparkling never stayed in a hotel where the room was so clean even 4/5 star hotels in the uk. I couldn’t fault anything at this hotels enjoyed the food and drinks in the restaurant , breakfast was great too, the gentleman that was there as staff was lovely. I can’t wait to book to come back.

We paid for a room with Loch view. Room 2 certainly had that! Open the curtains and you are met by water and very little else. Excellently sized room and very comfortable for relaxing and sleeping. The room was probably more than we would normally pay per night, but it did not disappoint (pic included). The Restaurant (Cawley franchise) was excellent and service was first class. Breakfast was very good and within a very friendly atmosphere. Cannot fault it - but you do pay for the privilege!

Very clean and well presented. Staff provided great customer service. Great views and facilities were clean and as described on booking. Spacious executive suite with great outdoor seating and a wonderful view of the loch. Tea and coffee in the room, decent supply of towels and shower gel etc. nice touch with the board games in the room and good quality TV with Netflix for late evening viewing. Room service excellent, bobbys diner was great with attentive staff and reasonable pricing for a lite bite.

Very cold room - had to wear a jumper over my PJs in bed in order to keep warm. Radiator was on full but room was freezing despite this. £5 service for eggs Benedict for breakfast and £50 deposit for potential damage caused which is refunded after 14 days slightly excessive considering the cost of the room was £279 for one night - would have expected free breakfast and trust to behave like adults in the room but presumably the deposit has been introduced due to unruly past guests. Very noisy and inconsiderate guests nearby but not really hotels fault.

Duck Bay really was perfect and everything we could have hoped for. We went to the restaurant in the evening which was amazing, the food was delicious, the view while you eat is stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly! If you're staying here then we absolutely recommend eating here too! The hotel itself was also amazing. The staff were all really welcoming and helpful. The room was gorgeous, we had a room with a loch view (which I totally recommend!) and it really was breathtaking. It was so cozy and just absolutely what we were hoping it would be. We also had breakfast here, which was beyond expectations! The hot breakfast menu was really good and the food absolutely delicious!! Then there was also a huge selection of other breakfast items and drinks, it really was the perfect way to start the day. Also the view from the breakfast room overlooking the loch is obviously stunning, we couldn't have asked for more!

What a stunning hotel. The views are to die for, would highly recommend paying that little bit extra for the loch view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much. Breakfast was taken overlooking the loch every morning, it was hot and nicely presented. We also dined in the restaurant one night, again overlooking the loch, the food was beautifully presented. You do need to book a table though as it is extremely popular. The location, although slightly out of Balloch, is a steady walk or a quick taxi drive. Overall, we cannot wait to visit this beautiful place again.

Nothing everything was perfect

The location is stunning and the views were breathtaking. The staff were incredibly professional and so helpful, especially Laura on reception. The room with a terrace on the loch was beautiful. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service was first class. I would 100% book again. Breakfast was excellent. There were hot options for vegans and vegetarians which was most welcome.

Out of the hotel’s control but there were three people on jet skis hammering around the loch about 100 metres from my room at around 9pm. It broke the peacefulness of sitting on the terrace at twilight watching the wildlife.
