Great B&B in quiet and convenient location. House is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac at the water, the stop for local trains to Glasgow is just a few minutes walk away. City center, shopping and restaurants can also be reached easily on foot (approx. 30 min walk). Very friendly staff, we were welcomed on arrival with freshly made muffins and tea, and were well looked after all the time, thanks to Cathy and April! Room on the top floor was great, nice view, spacious, with a large and comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Room is serviced if you wish it. The breakfast was fantastic, different choices are available, the Scotish breakfast was my favourite. All is freshly made for the specific breakfast time! Definitely recommended for a visit to the Loch Lomond and Glasgow area!
No dedicated parking is available, parking is only possible along the road. However, we always found a spot in front of the house, and in case the road is full one can park the car on the main road approx. 150 meters away. The shower is in the bathtub, might be an issue for some people to get in and out. The stairs, especially to the top floor, are very steep and can be hard to climb with lots of luggage.

Location was a good starting spot for us to drive around Scotland; however, we would've struggled without a car. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were so accommodating. We asked for extra apple juice on the first morning and they were so thoughtful to remember the next day and provide extra apple juice without needing to be asked. The staff were so nice. We were cared for by Catherine, Libby, and Debbie and each were very lovely. Just so friendly and accommodating! We only saw Debbie on our way out and she was insisting we come back because she wanted to get to know us better haha.
The vegetarian options (and accommodations for alternative diets, like halal) were limited, but we did expect this. We hadn't anticipated that the bathroom for the heron not being an ensuite would be as inconvenient as it was. Next time, we would choose an ensuite room. I would've liked blinds on the bedroom windows as we were unable to open the curtains due to the properties right opposite us being able to see right in.

Wow. Absolutely amazing. Our hosts were 2 of the most friendly, well mannered and welcoming we have ever had the pleasure of staying with! The room was beautiful and clean as were the dining room and lounge! We were given complimentary tea and muffins as soon as we got there then breakfast the next day which was 10/10, from the food to the service! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. My partner is 6 months pregnant and we have just bought our first house, so after all the stress, it was the relaxing break away that we needed and we cannot wait to go back at some point in the future!

If I could, I will give a 12 out of 10. The personnel at the hotel are the best part. Debbie, April, Catherine (the owner)... What a wonderful-beautiful hotel! The decoration in the rooms, the little details like assortment of teas, Colombian coffee, biscuits, chocolate, extra pillows, quality hair-dryer with accessories... even the toilet paper is of the best quality! And the breakfast. OMG!! Salmon on a bagel with poached eggs (perfectly cooked), chocolate + cream drink, yogurt with fruit.... I can not recommend this hotel enough. A little gem in Helensburgh! Fast internet speed, free parking. Very convenient to travel to Loch Lomond. Note: Ask for the room at the top floor. You will be amazed!!
Everything was perfect. If I have to mention something, I will say that beds are a bit small as my son is nearly 1.90m and 90kg, but for me they were perfect.

Great communication prior to arriving and met with a warm welcome from the owner Catherine. Breakfast was top quality and served by the lovely Debs who was extremely friendly and chatty.
The shower didn’t work, but the owner was obviously unaware there was a problem and was very apologetic. The rooms were very small and there was no view at all from ours and only a side view from the other we were offered. We opted for the no view room as the bed was bigger, so worth checking before you book if a view is important to you. It is a bit tired and worn around the edges and not what I would call ‘luxury’ but you will receive a warm welcome from friendly hosts It would have been nice if we had been offered a small discount due to not being able to have a shower, but overall it was good value for money anyway.

The views from the B & B were lovely,, from the room and the breakfast room too. Both the owner and staff were friendly and very accommodating. Welcome tea and scones was a lovely touch. Breakfast was incredible. I would go back for the porridge alone. The room was lovely and the tea/coffee tray was well equipped.
The room were cool to cold during the day but very hot at night which made sleeping difficult. This would be a personal preference apart from the radiators being burning to the touch and I should have mentioned this to Catherine at the time. Not many power points and because of this the kettle was under the TV.

Stayed for the first and last nights of our visit to the Highlands and were glad to return to this lovely B&B. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff on both occasions. The decor is very cozy and homely and everything was clean and nicely presented. We appreciated the quality bedding and furnishings. Breakfast is good with a good selection of food and timings to choose from at check in. We particularly enjoyed the window seats to watch the shore birds and boats on the Clyde from our room. I didn't realise that the bathroom was separate (but private for the Heron room) until the confirmation arrived, but this turned out to be not a problem, and having the bath instead of just a shower made up for the trip just a couple of paces along the landing. The house is at the bottom of a no-through road, so absolutely quiet and peaceful. We will definitely return.
Windows and frames needed a bit of a clean in our room, nothing major though.

This B+B is a gem of a place to stay in. It is situated in a quiet, little side street with a view of the sea loch. There is on-street parking just outside the building. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was so attentive and helpful. The double room we had booked was beautifully decorated and had an ensuite shower room. There were lovely touches such as bunches of artificial flowers in vases, ornamental clocks, etc to make the room feel more homely. Despite knowing the B+B was fully booked, we slept well as the house was peaceful and had absolutely no road noise. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of beautifully prepared dishes which was served promptly with a smile. All in all, I would highly recommend this B+B and we will be staying here again when we return to Helensburgh.
The only problem I found was the curtains in our bedroom did not close and we had to sleep with the curtains open which left us feeling a bit exposed as there were people in the houses across the road. If we could have pulled the curtains or even if there were roller blinds fitted to the windows, this fantastic B+B would get full marks from me.

Catherine and her team are exceptional! All the staff are very professional and efficient.Their over-whelming quality, however is one of hospitality, friendliness and making sure that guests have everything they need or want. My train, for example was over four hours late, I arrived at 22.55 instead of an expected time of 18.15. Both Catherine and April had waited up for me, took my case upstairs and made me feel very welcome. Breakfasts were delicious with a variety of tasty and very well cooked food. I shall definitely return!

The breakfast was absolutely fabulous. The quality of the food was exceptional and the presentation was out of this world. The staff could not do enough for you and made our stay and absolute joy. A great example was when we returned late afternoon after a round of golf to be asked if we wanted ice creams. We immediately said yes and then enjoyed 2 lovely Cornetto's. The complimentary bottle of wine in the room on arrival was also a nice touch. Overall, we had an outstanding experience.
Nothing at all could have been better - it was perfect.
