Owners dealt gracefully with a late check-in which was appreciated. The building is old but very well kept. Bed was comfortable and the room, whilst on the small side, was ample for a short stay. Earlston itself is a pleasant little village and the larger towns nearby are only a short drive away. Would work well as a base for exploring the surrounding area. I was able to park a large van outside without any difficulty.

Separate bathrooms aren't ideal but there seems to be one allocated per room rather than being shared. And I can't see any other layout that the building would allow. There were some friendly but boisterous dogs on the property. This might be a positive for many guests, but have a word beforehand if you have a phobia of canines.

Wonderful friendly hosts and dogs greeted me on arrival and made me feel exceptionally welcome. The room was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean with lots of lovely little touches (reading lamp, proper tea, real milk etc.). Generous and tasty breakfast with countless options to tailor it based on preferences/dietary requirements etc. Good shower and private bathroom. Genuinely lovely B&B run by a kind and cheerful family who go out of their way to make you feel at home.

This is a little gem of a place to stay. I love the convenience of it being on the main A68 to Edinburgh. It is quiet and peaceful despite being on the main road. The family who own it are delightful and nothing is too much of a bother for them. The room is cozy with an external private bathroom. There is a kettle with plenty of tea and coffee. A flask of fresh milk is provided which is a lovely touch. Breakfast is delicious. Overall I highly recommend Broomfield House Bed and Breakfast.

Owners were very friendly and helpful in recommending local eateries. The room was small but comfortable and perfectly fine for my purposes. I used the wifi to watch TV on my iPad without any problems at all. Breakfast options were generous. Bathroom was across the hallway (as advertised) but generous size, clean and a reasonably powerful shower.

For my purposes it was fine as it was and value for money.

The welcome by the hosts was very warm and informative and I appreciated the option to check in between 9pm and 10pm as I was travelling straight from work from around 3 and a half hours away. Breakfast was excellent, room was well equipped, bathroom large and clean and free parking available.

My only criticism of my stay would be the comfort of the single bed mattress. I am a side sleeper and the mattress didn't work for me as I felt I didn't have enough support. But had an enjoyable stay and when I am next in need of accommodation in the area I will definitely come back.

Limited number of shops and eating places in village but enough to cater for all tastes. Provision of fresh milk in flask to keep cool a bonus. Excellent views from room.

Everything was brand new, like someone left day before finishing shower room, breakfast wow how big and variety, value proposition is of the charts Staff welcoming and professional I don't have to mention cleanliness, spotless is massive understatement I'm impressed, truly

I stayed only one night

Was made so welcome by the hosts. Very clean comfortable room with all you need for your stay, hospitality tray, shower room and toilet etc en suite. Breakfast was booked the night before by filling out a form. The choice was fantastic, cereal, porridge, choice of juice drinks and hot drinks, breakfast fruit, toast, huge choice of continental type breakfast foods (do try the fresh fruit platter), great range of cooked breakfast food. Couldn’t get better if you went to a high grade hotel in our opinion. Hosts so warm chatty and informative and their pets (two lovely labradors) even joined in by greeting us with a happy tail welcome. The last minute request for a packed lunch was greeted with a smile and within minutes produced for us to take away when we left for home.

Couldn’t do anything better.

The rooms and bathroom facilities are beautiful and have the highest level of cleanliness and privacy. The hosts are so kind and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay. Wonderful full cooked breakfast as part of the price and if you're skipping breakfast they'll pack you a lunch instead. Wonderful hosts.

Great location with plenty to see /do close by. Great friendly owners and perfect room for our needs.

Not a dis like but owners had 2 dogs and my son doesn't like dogs so he was cautious when coming down stairs or coming back into the b&b but owners did their very best to keep the dogs out of the way.
