Really don't usually complete these surveys but this hotel, booked as it suited an event we were attending, totally exceeded our expectations. Impressive frontage, professionally dealt with at check in. Room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. After the event, the hotel bar staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast (which I don't even remember booking) was excellent. Well done. We'd visit again in a heartbeat.

Nothing we experienced was a problem at all.

Check in was very smooth, the receptionist was very pleasant, and welcoming, we had dinner in the hotel, and it was excellent, with a great choice of food on the menu. The bar was well stocked, and extremely busy, providing a great atmosphere, think there was a civic parade with horses, etc, such shame about the weather though. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices, the staff were pleasant and friendly.

No hot water for the shower.

The hotel is right in the center of Kelso. The staff are absolutely amazing. We were meeting other members of my partners family from America, Scotland and England. We were the only ones who were staying at the hotel and no one had thought about dinner. At Four pm I asked if the hotel could accommodate 15 for dinner and they went out of their way to accommodate us.

The hotel is old and there are a few problems with water pressure.

The room was comfortable and clean although a little tired . There was a very good choice at breakfast. All in all I was happy with the price and have no hesitation in stating that it was value for money.

Probably the room including the bathroom required a makeover but on the other hand everything such as toilet, shower and tv worked fine so no real complaints.

Central location, easy to find in picturesque town

Our only minor complaint is that the shower cabinet in our room was very dated and there was black mould around the seal top & bottom, also the view from the bedroom window was great however there was an empty window box on the sill which looked unsightly from the inside looking out. the price of the room compared to a couple of months earlier had gone up by approx 50%.

Restaurant was excellent. Food was great and staff very good.

Bathroom badly needing refurbishment. Shower was a bath and shower mixer tap which was very poor and difficult to get temperature right. Could easily be scalded with hot water and then a slight adjustment and your hit with freezing cold water. Although bathroom was a disappointment I don't think it would put me off returning. Hopefully when I return bathrooms will have had an upgrade.

Clean Hotel, parking outside Hotel.

Stayed two nights, Disappointed with cooked breakfast on both mornings, sausage was under cooked on first morning, Bacon was not fully cooked on second morning, server returned bacon to be cooked, quality was good just needed few minutes longer in oven! Server on both mornings were helpful & pleasant. View from room was looking on to old building with windows looking onto our room, had to pull curtains for privacy

The room was spotless the bed comfortable.The breakfast was excellent.The dinner menu has many options but my favourite was fish and chips.Probably the best I’ve ever eaten and I have eaten many.The bar is well stocked with a good selection of beer and spirits.

The only disappointment was leaving I recommend this hotel

The room was fine and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good and had a good selection of hot and cold food. The dining room was pleasant. It was an overnight stay and as I was meeting up with friends, I didn’t have dinner.

Perhaps if I had stayed longer, I would have been able to answer this.This hotel has a great central location

All the staff were helpful and very friendly. The restaurant staff did their best to cope with dietary requirements. We were here for Kelso music festival and the hotel is a lovely setting for it.

The shower wasn't working properly but there was a sign-in the bathroom to indicate this .
