The staff were perfect , the two waitresses in the mornings were a breath of fresh air, attentive, smiling , well turned out and very polite , a credit to the hotel

The room , although two floors above the bar was very noisy, almost would have been as well sitting in the bar it was that loud . The bathroom floor is a death trap , the floor tiles have such a hi gloss finish on them that you slip even in bare feet …a textured surface is a must for a bathroom . Could also do with more lighting above all the rooms mirrors . That aside , it was a lovely bed and room

The duty manager put up notice that the restaurant would close at 2000 hours on Sunday; advertised 2030 hours. That the bar would also close at 2000 hours. One of the female staff said we could go to the Buchan Arms. Reason: a staff leaving celebration. When I advised the manager to check the difference between a pub Inn and hotel, he conceded that we could use the bar, being guests. Went to Brewdog instead. No price list in the restaurant despite changing different price to bar. Did not see a price list in bar. Barman charged two different prices in the bar. Not allowed to copy Uber and Ticketmaster.

Friendly staff when we entered to check in who were very helpful and welcoming. Food in the restaurant was first class with a great choice to choose from. Again staff were friendly and talkative where service was excellent. There was a very friendly young chap behind the bar where we had a few drinks after dinner in comfortable conditions where he chatted away to us through out the night. Breakfast choice again was top class with a great selection of hot and cold food and again very friendly service.

The price was perfect, the staff were lovely and the food was very good. We stayed with our puppy dowg Bonnie. (The New Inn Hotel is dog friendly on request.) The room was more than adequate for our nights stay and very clean. Border biscuits, coffee / tea and toiletries were provided in the room. The bar had a local musician playing in the evening (very good musician). It was a busy wee bar with a mixture of people of all ages but plenty of staff and an outdoor seating area. No waiting around for our Mojitos! Great place and clearly somewhere enjoyed by many. After a full Scottish breakfast (included) we left the car in the free secure car park and visited Ellon Castle gardens in the morning. Then we headed up to brewdog for a tour. I seldom write reviews, but the New Inn and their team deserved it. I'll definitely recommend this to others needing a change in scenery, a friendly atmosphere and a break from Granite City. Room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfy. Shower was the perfect pressure for me. Bathroom was spotless. It was a very busy Saturday night and the restaurant was full, but they found me a table in the bar. Food was delicious and served promptly. There was live music on, but I didn't get to hear it as I was going elsewhere for the evening. When I got back just after midnight, there were lots of people outside, and they were noisy - as you'd expect, but I'd never have known that once I reached my room. I fell asleep quite quickly and had a good night's sleep with no disturbances.

The staff were very welcoming. It was good to have a carpark behind the hotel. The hotel is located in centre of town and it looks like therebwas a pleasant riverside walk across the road from the hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated. The shower was good and plenty of hot water. One minor issue was the tiled floor was very slides and I nearly had a fall as I got out of the bath. Bedroom had a large LCD wit Netflix which was appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and the general decor of the room was pleasant. The hotel has a restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced. It was very cold weather during our stay but it was always warm in the hotel.

The staff were welcoming in every department, the room was beautifully decorated and everywhere in the hotel was clean and tidy. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff were able to provide Gluten Free options without any problem, checking with chef when necessary.

Breakfast isn’t served until 8:30 at weekends, which meant I was rushed to eat so I could get to work on time. On Saturday night there is live music in the bar - unfortunately my room was above the bar and my whole room reverberated with the beatbox. So my “quiet room” was no longer peaceful. Earplugs didn’t help. I was too tired to go and ask for a different room, so I tolerated it.

The New Inn Hotel is only to recommend! The staff was very helpful and did every extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible! The food was more than delicious and we enjoyed taking it at the bar where our dog could accompany us. The room was very clean and the bed more than comfy. Parking was easy and spacious. We will for sure return when we are in the region again!

We had a brilliant stay at the New Inn. We were there as we were exhibiting at a market at the Ellon Castle Gardens, which were just 2 mins away from the hotel. On arrival we got a lovely warm welcome and were told everything we needed to know about our stay and the area. As we would not make breakfast they offered to make packed lunches for us which was just brilliant. We also arrived after in the evening and they booked us into the bar for dinner which was delicious. Our room was immaculate, comfy beds, good shower and plenty of space. On the second night we hadn't booked dinner and even though the restaurant and bar was fully booked the staff went above and beyond to fit a table into the bar for us, exceptional service!! We would highly recommend this hotel as it is friendly, comfortable and a very high standard! Well done to the New Inn Team!

Right next to the bus stop from Aberdeen. I was able to book a table for dinner with friends which is great as they get very busy. Comfortable room. Nice walk along the river across from the hotel. If I came back to this area I'd stay here again.

No lift but I knew this when booking. They offered to help with luggage which was nice but not needed.
