Lovely clean, comfortable room. Bathroom roomy, good shower with nice toiletries. Perfect location in town with nearby riverside walk. Lovely coffee shops, Baker and chipper all close by. Breakfast was a treat, the fish with black pudding and poached egg this morning was best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Would recommend staying there if in the part of Scotland.

Very noisy, as hotel houses a pub and a restaurant and there seemed to be a couple functions on. This in itself was expected as I knew about the pub etc however, after hours there was a lot of door banging etc. Didn’t sleep well because of that.

Honestly this was a lovely one night spontaneous trip, booked that morning and checked in later that evening, very fast and efficient, the staff were fantastic, the room was super comfy, facilities all clean, the food at the restaurant was to die for! The waitresses helped me choose what to eat and their suggestions were perfect! Bar was great value for money too Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area!

The room was a little cold as I don't think I got the heating setting sorted or it wasn't working, wasn't a big deal at all and could very well be user error! Also the WiFi was very intermittent, again not a complaint and it's a bit of a 1st world problem!

Absolutely fabulous place. Staff are really good - helpful, professional, friendly, always checking that everything is good. Room was very clean, comfortable and well presented. Whole building was clean and well kept. The food in the restaurant was the best meal we have had on this trip by far (9 nights, 9 different places to stay) It was excellent. There was a great choice, and our meals were delicious, beautifully cooked. Breakfast was the same. Honestly, if I lived closer I would happily stay there more often, but it is about 600 miles. That said, we are planning on visiting again in the next couple of years! Thank you New Inn for a fantabulous stay.

The staff were perfect , the two waitresses in the mornings were a breath of fresh air, attentive, smiling , well turned out and very polite , a credit to the hotel

The room , although two floors above the bar was very noisy, almost would have been as well sitting in the bar it was that loud . The bathroom floor is a death trap , the floor tiles have such a hi gloss finish on them that you slip even in bare feet …a textured surface is a must for a bathroom . Could also do with more lighting above all the rooms mirrors . That aside , it was a lovely bed and room

Very good decoration, fittings and rooms. Good bar and restaurant. Varied breakfast.

The duty manager put up notice that the restaurant would close at 2000 hours on Sunday; advertised 2030 hours. That the bar would also close at 2000 hours. One of the female staff said we could go to the Buchan Arms. Reason: a staff leaving celebration. When I advised the manager to check the difference between a pub Inn and hotel, he conceded that we could use the bar, being guests. Went to Brewdog instead. No price list in the restaurant despite changing different price to bar. Did not see a price list in bar. Barman charged two different prices in the bar. Not allowed to copy Uber and Ticketmaster.

We had a great stay in the New Inn Hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, our room was clean and spacious, and parking was good and easy. We felt very welcome, as did our dogs. We were very pleased that we were able to bring the dogs with us for a meal in the pub in the evening, and also for breakfast in the morning. The food was great, both the pub meals, as well as breakfast. The location in the town centre, by the river was perfect for us.

Friendly staff when we entered to check in who were very helpful and welcoming. Food in the restaurant was first class with a great choice to choose from. Again staff were friendly and talkative where service was excellent. There was a very friendly young chap behind the bar where we had a few drinks after dinner in comfortable conditions where he chatted away to us through out the night. Breakfast choice again was top class with a great selection of hot and cold food and again very friendly service.

No negatives to mention.

The price was perfect, the staff were lovely and the food was very good. We stayed with our puppy dowg Bonnie. (The New Inn Hotel is dog friendly on request.) The room was more than adequate for our nights stay and very clean. Border biscuits, coffee / tea and toiletries were provided in the room. The bar had a local musician playing in the evening (very good musician). It was a busy wee bar with a mixture of people of all ages but plenty of staff and an outdoor seating area. No waiting around for our Mojitos! Great place and clearly somewhere enjoyed by many. After a full Scottish breakfast (included) we left the car in the free secure car park and visited Ellon Castle gardens in the morning. Then we headed up to brewdog for a tour. I seldom write reviews, but the New Inn and their team deserved it. I'll definitely recommend this to others needing a change in scenery, a friendly atmosphere and a break from Granite City. Well done team 👍🏼

Enjoyed our dinner and breakfast was very good. Liked the butteries!! My husband’s port was a bit cloudy and sediment at the bottom of the glass. When he made the waitress aware of this she admitted that it was the end of the bottle and some from a new bottle. She immediately took it off of the bill. 😊

Found the difference in the prices from the lounge bar to the function suite a bit steep. Not sure why there was this difference.🤷‍♀️

Room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfy. Shower was the perfect pressure for me. Bathroom was spotless. It was a very busy Saturday night and the restaurant was full, but they found me a table in the bar. Food was delicious and served promptly. There was live music on, but I didn't get to hear it as I was going elsewhere for the evening. When I got back just after midnight, there were lots of people outside, and they were noisy - as you'd expect, but I'd never have known that once I reached my room. I fell asleep quite quickly and had a good night's sleep with no disturbances.
