Incredible location - the Newburgh Inn is located just off the amazing beach dunes of the Forvie National Nature Reserve, and immediately adjacent to the challenging Newburgh Links Golf Club. The Inn is comfortable, popular with locals, and has very good food including a great breakfast.

The Inn has recently opened under new management. Staff is excellent and manager, Nick, is extremely professional. Unfortunately, booking.com arrangements made with prior management were not communicated to Nick and his crew. Nick managed to accommodate us, and also helped us clear up confusion over payment with booking.com.

Location, food, staff , accommodation all exellent . Great base for exploring North Eastern part of Scotland. seal beach behind hotel is a must visit place with miles of beach to walk on also if you like golf there is also a golf course behind hotel too . see owner for details. Aberdeen is a lovely place to visit. It's got lots to discover harbour and boats, shopping, history , and easy for parking with reasonable rates.follow the coast road up to Ellgin and stop off at all the lovely villages along the way and have a stroll around so friendly and charming sit and listen to the waves as they wash along the shore you will just fall in love with this Parto of scotland.

not a lover of dogs in eating areas so a no-no for me, although well behaved while we were there, should be a separate area if eating with dogs .

Handy location. Pleasant decor all through. Our twin room was warm despite very very cold weather outside, clean and comfortable - although it was small. I think other twins were a bit bigger with a comfy chair and that would have been good. Bathroom fine - clean and quite big. Good shower. But best thing was the staff - all delightful and very helpful.

Not their fault but the big bar/restaurant area downstairs was a bit chilly- but exceptionally cold weather so not their fault. Restaurant seating was fine but a few comfy seats round the wood burner would have been very nice - somewhere to be other than our room. Food ok but not always piping hot. But staff very willing to sort out problems - couldn’t fault any of them. Delightful

Very comfortable and homely in the rooms, and also in the dining area. Had everything we needed in the room, including a hairdryer and iron, so didn't have to pack those. And breakfast included in the morning. The hotel was accommodating in giving us a travel cot, and also keeping our two rooms next to each other. Would stay again if ever required to be out that way in the future.

I thought it was quite costly, however this may just be the going rate for hotels now. The playpark seemed to be lacking - maybe introduce a slide and swing set? Also, the TV in one of the rooms didn't work, or connect to Sky.

The room was clean and well equipped, and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean, with a large shower cubicle, and toiletries and soft towels provided. Breakfasts were filling with plenty of choice. The all day menu also had plenty of choice, and the main course I had was very nice. They had gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options, and were accommodating for my gluten and dairy intolerances. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The food, staff, accommodation and surrounding area made our stay very pleasant. Newburgh was easily accessible by bus from Aberdeen, and we also used buses to get to and from Ellon, which is another nice place to visit.

The free wi-fi was a bit hit and miss. The tv had two remotes and we didn't know how to use them, what did what, so it was hit and miss with not having Sky TV ourselves.

Lots! Enough to definitely recommend to others and we want to return! 1/Martin was really friendly and easy to get on with. Fantastic customer service and great Owner. 2/ Amy lovely too and hard working. 3/ Shower AMAZING! 4/ Breakfast outstanding. 5/ Food really good quality and piping hot! 6/ Cruzcampo on tap ... !😃 7/ Newburgh beach and seals right by and reason we stayed. 8/ Bus stop outside! 9/ Quiet and nice place to chill and relax

Nothing really a "didn't like" I should have asked if a fan was available. Was a bit hot in room. Also paint chippings round window frame in Room 5, needs attention. TV was a bit temperamental at times! Play area unfortunately awaiting a health and safety inspection but was just one of those things ... Holly, Amy and Martin all friendly.Clear all worked hard too and really nice to talk to. Cannot comment on other staff as never conversed with us.

We arrived after a 9 hour car journey. We were treated with a smile and an enquiry as to how our trip had been. The room was clean and well presented with tea and coffee facilities, iron and hairdryer. The shower was clean and had fixed shower gel and a slip mat. We had a few drinks and slept well in comfortable clean beds. Breakfast was well cooked and there was something for everyone. Hubby had a full cooked Scottish and I had fresh made pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. There was continental breakfast available, the service was excellent and extra coffee, tea etc was offered. We cannot fault the Newburgh Inn and will return.

The room was very comfortable, good size, very well decorated and quiet, the bedding was excellent. The bathroom was large, very well decorated, the towels were very soft and clean. The hot breakfast was freshly made to order, there was a good selection of juices, cereals and hot dishes and more. We had dinner in the welcoming and friendly restaurant. The dishes were freshly made, my steak was perfectly cooked and tender, the potatoes freshly boiled. The hotel felt homely, welcoming, modern. The location was excellent, close to the amazing beach with fine sand, with a clear view of the seal colony across the water.

I have no complaint whatsoever. For some reason the TV remote had disappeared. The management addressed the problem right away and supplied a new one.

Nice room, close to the seal beach, and 20 minutes drive to Slains Castle. Lots of parking and easy check-in. Very relaxed check out too. Breakfast is on till 12 pm, which is good as you can go after 11 am check out. Staff were nice. Everyone we dealt with were friendly and attentive. The pub and bars are good prices for a small town too.

The menu looked great, but the cooking of the dinner and breakfast weren't great. I would return as it's a nice spot if I wanted to visit the beach again.

A beautiful part of the country. This hotel was clean friendly and the food was amazing. The staff and owners were so very nice indeed. Behind the hotel was an amazing beach. With a seal colony. Amazing in fact spectacular. Well worth a visit 😀❤️🙏 I wish I had taken photos on my phone but I took my big camera with a long lense to capture the seals. It was sunny but cold. Perfect 😎🥶🌟
