I love the hotel, the staff are friendly and professional. The hotel is in a beautiful location.

The room had a very uncomfortable twin bed, I asked for a double. The beds were of different heights and unfixed. There were dome repair issues that didn't get fixed such as the squeaky door, broken bathroom door, broken shower and missing bathroom shelf. I reported those upon checking in and they were not attended to. It took the shine off the stay a bit.

Welcoming. Lovely room. Great breakfast, the best I've had in England . Good coffee.

We were told the bar closed at 11 pm by the guy checking us into our room, only to discover when we returned from our evening at 10.30 pm that it was shut. We asked if we could bring a drink up to our room but this was not allowed. We would have got dropped elsewhere had we known it was shut by 10 pm. It was disappointing that we were staying in a pub but couldn't buy a drink. Maybe that's normal in England.

Comfortable room. The excellent inclusive breakfast was better and more delicious than most places. I had a delicious omelette.

Nothing needed improvement. This is a good value Inn. We had a super evening meal. Good value and soo good! Lovely hot shower and products. The staff were unfailingly charming and efficient. Top marks for such a well run Inn. Loved it’s quiet , attractive location and enjoyed reading about all the surrounding historic buildings on the Green from the book in the bedroom.

A lovely place to stay, very friendly staff and great room. I highly recommend a stay. Also cater for vegans, had a nice vegan breakfast and milk alternative for my cup of tea.

The only improvement I can think of is a small fridge in the room. This would just be to keep any drinks cool as we stayed on a particularly warm night. But apart from this everything was perfect and really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location. Fantastic Friday night vibe, great choice of drinks inc. Shepherd Neame's own. Super friendly but efficient staff. Tremendous beautifully cooked and presented Enlgish Breakfast. Easy street parking. Amazing rooms!! Well done The Crown. Well done Mario the Manager.

We didn't have our evening meal here so cannot comment. A fellow guest wasn't thrilled with her dinner the night before. But who knows!

Room was lovely and spacious. Not sure what area of the pub was underneath, could hear doors banging - this stopped later at night as I expected it would. Bathroom nice, coffee/tea set up good, quiet hall area. Parking was easy, breakfast was good. Nice towels, hand lotion, shower and shampoo products. Bottle of water was a nice touch too.

Nothing we didn't like, could do with a bath mat so that the floor didn't get wet.

The room was lovely decorated and had lots of character. The dining area and bar were very nice and the evening meal was delicious. I had the fish and chips. Breakfast was included in the price for the room and was great! Also, the coffee, whether it was in the room or breakfast, was very good indeed. Staff were very friendly

Nothing, really. It gets a little busy immediately outside during school term time. (Nothing you can do about that). One of the bedside spotlights didn't work, but it wasn't a problem.

Our room was charming, of a reasonable size, nicely decorated, cosy and well-equiped, with a large nice bathroom and a little balcony. Bed was very comfortable. We arrived late but the manager arranged so that we could eat in the restaurant, despite the kitchen was already closed. That was really appreciated! In addition, service and food were excellent. There is also a pub, very lively in the evening (but no trouble in the room with the sound of voices or music). Breakfast was included in our package and we were offered to choose all we wanted from a large selection of items on the menu. All (eggs, salmon, avocado, fruits...) was well prepared, fresh and tasty. There are only 2-3 private parking places for the hotel guests, but it is easy to find a parking slot in the street if necessary. The surroundings are very calm, large houses and parks.

The only thing I can mention is that there is no elevator which may be an issue if you have heavy large luggage.

We stayed in one of the boutique bedrooms. It was spacious, stylish and cosy, small balcony adjacent to the room which you can sit out on, read maybe and overlook the green opposite. The food at dinner and breakfast was fabulous as well as the service!

Loved the superior double room with balcony overlooking the common. Pretty planters too and nice to sit out in the warm weather watching the world go by. Really relaxing. Lovely decor in room with character and interest. Very comfortable and spacious.

Overall very satisfied just the thought the quality of breakfast ingrediients could have been bettter. The sausages seemed poor quality and the bacon was bit flimsy. Think a good quality back bacon would have been better for a cooked breakfast. Roasted mushroms very tasty though. No reflection on the cook of the breakfast just the quality in parts.
