Hosts were very welcoming and friendly and helpful.. it is in a very quiet village which is nice for walks and fir relaxing. The rooms are very spacious and accommodating with a kettle in the coffee and tea. In the room with Sachets of different coffee and teas on the landing. Fresh milk in the fridge and little milk jiggers. Lovely cooked breakfast every day if wanted the host couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. Lots of cereal choice lovely range of TipTree jams plus other things to put on your toast or bread and butter. There is a swimming pool, but we didn't get to use it. Lovely gardens and beautiful views from the King ensuite. Thank you for a lovely, friendly visit and making us feel welcomed and relaxed.

There was nothing not to like. The only thing was no close walking distance public houses, but you're there to get away from everything.

A very good choice of food, including continental. English breakfast was really cooked well. Our hosts were very welcoming providing a home from home experience, very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Even our little Frenchie was made welcome, especially by the little resident dog. Arnie. Our room was lovely, clean and tidy and very comfortable, with a really lovely view of the gardens. A great array of teas and coffees was also provided. On trying out the pool, we were definitely not disappointed, water was a comfortable temperature and the changing facilities and hot shower provided in a room just off of there were excellent.

The only one suggestion would be the signage could have been better to find the property, maybe a little bigger as we were not over familiar with the area, it was a bit difficult to find, particularly at nightime.

Excellent facilities and furnishings, with thoughtful little extras provided. A light and airy bedroom with comfortable bed and easy chair, and good-sized en-suite bathroom. Fresh milk in the fridge and a wide selection of teas. Excellent cooked breakfast. Friendly and professional service, with any queries/issues dealt with promptly. Quiet, rural location just outside the village, yet close to places of interest such as Long Melford and Lavenham.

The accommodations were exceptional, featuring spacious and impeccably clean rooms. The in-room amenities were superior to any we have previously encountered. The attention to detail and luxurious touches were outstanding. Our stay was ver relaxing; the hosts provided exemplary service, and the breakfast was superb. Thank you.

Absolutely nothing

Friendliness of staff, cleanliness, relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The Dining room had a very high standard of cleanliness-cutlery, crockery all spotless. Great choice of quality cereals. Cafetière of Coffee, Tea and Fruit Juices all available. The Full English Breakfasts are both plentiful, and tasty, in fact, one of the best I’ve had !

The interior/exterior decor, although clean and fairly well maintained, is looking a little dated now. However, when considering the overall cost of stay, this hotel represents good value for money.

Spacious, comfortable, clean, big TV, excellent breakfast accommodating my (lacto-free) diet. Nice small touches of quality, like Tiptree jams and good branded muesli. Louise was ever ready to be helpful. Excellent value.

Small points... the village is in the middle of nowhere, and has little to recommend it. And the decor is a bit dated. But that's part of the charm. Could have had a desk chair/workspace.

The room was great with the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in. The hosts were wonderful and could do enough to help us. The facilities were great, with the basics of tea and coffee but also specialist teas and coffees as well, and biscuits. Breakfast was made to order and was perfect. I can not speak any more highly enough of them, it was a perfect stay and I recommend people to go and stay there.

I cannot find fault with the facilities or the hosts

On arrival, the booking in was easy and friendly. Location is about 15 minutes from Sudbury. Very quiet setting and generally a nice house. The breakfast selection was faultless with a Full English offered along with Juice, Cereal and Toast. Very comfortable bed and the room sizes are exceptional. If asked "would I stay there again" the answer is YES!

The rooms are quite dated as was the bathroom/shower but it has everything you'll need for an overnight stay. The rooms are comfortable but in need of a bit of attention. Having mainly stayed in hotels personally and not many B&B's, I'm guessing this is par for the course.

Friendly and helpful hostess. Very comfortable room. Bed was particularly comfy. Spacious bathroom. Very good breakfast. Nice homely feel. Nearest pub for an evening meal 5 minutes drive away. Huge rear garden with croquet lawn!!

Slightly tricky to find. Could do with more prominent sign on the main road.
