The location of the hotel was perfect, a 5 minute drive to the Ben Nevis visitor centre (this was the reason for our visit), there was an aldi and home bargains just across the road and the centre of Fort William took just 20 minutes to walk to by the members of our party who weren't climbing Ben Nevis. The food we had at peaks bar and grill was delicious, (we had the steak and ale pie) the children's menu was a bargain too 3 courses for £10.50. Lots of room for parking, access to the leisure facilities was included (we used the pool which the kids loved) The bath filled really fast and was perfect after a very long hike up Ben Nevis

The bed wasn't the comfiest at all, I didn't sleep well, I found it really hard. There was a funny smell on one of the corridors which I think had been complained about as it had an air freshener on it.

Perfect location for Any type of Trip whether it be adventure or business,, 5 mins drive to the visitor centre if climbing Ben Nevis,, 5 mins drive into town parking available,,, even if arriving by train... Taxis are available.or walking is only 30 mins each way walking from, Hotel to town...... Also has the swimming pool, steam room,sauna . jacuzzi,,,, The room was ideal for what we needed it for as we were there to climb Nevis,,,, absolutely perfect location for it.... Room was nice and clean,,, bathroom was spotless nice shower,,, Breakfast was,,,got to say delicious,,, the food was really good good selection,,,, I had the full fry up before the walk so did the granddaughter,, sausages, haggis,black pudding, all absolutely delicious.... staff were very nice,, All staff from reception/waiters//bar/cleaners everyone was really nice and pleasant..

This place has it all ,,,, just needs little bit of TLC,,,, swimming pool needs a good change of locker rooms,,,, bits of painting required nothing to difficult to replace and fix,,,, place just needs a good lick of paint and it would look Alot better..... New parking lines just freshened up making car park look good for people Entering...... And yes we would stay here again as it does a delicious breakfast and the staff are very nice..

Location Great location. It is just a 15-minute walk from the town centre, 30 mins walk (5 mins drive) from Ben Nevis car park Facilities It has a nice heated swimming pool, hot tub, gym, steam room and sauna. Perfect after a hike. Yes, the leisure centre is dated but clean and everything worked just fine. Rooms Again, a bit dated but comfy and clean. The bathroom must have been recently renovated though - very modern and clean. Our room had a Mountain View which was really nice but also close to the main road so was a bit noisy. Food Breakfast was okay. If you like a fry-up to start you off, it’s perfect. There’s limited continental option, so if you’re not a fried breakfast person, I would recommend going to the nearby Costa cafe where you can have a coffee and toastie breakfast deal for £5. The restaurant is okay - food is cheap, so don’t expect anything too fancy. It wasn’t oversold at all. Staff Nice and friendly staff.

I’ve read lots of negative comments about this hotel and I don’t find them fair. I found the hotel and services to be as described. It is a 3 start hotel in a small town in Scotland. I’m not sure what people expect. Yes, it’s a bit expensive but it’s a popular place being so close to the UK’s highest mountain.

I had the most amazing stay at the Ben Nevis Hotel, and I can’t thank the staff enough for making my birthday so special. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and well taken care of. Lizzie, the receptionist, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and she made checking in a breeze. The entire team really went the extra mile to ensure I had a memorable experience. The staff arranged my room beautifully for my birthday, and I was genuinely touched by all the thoughtful touches. The housekeeper also did an excellent job in preparing everything to perfection, and it was clear that every member of the team was dedicated to making my stay as enjoyable as possible. The food at the hotel was absolutely fantastic—each meal was a delight. Whether it was breakfast to start the day or a lovely dinner to wind down, the quality and taste were consistently excellent. You can tell the kitchen team really takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every dish. Overall, my time at Ben Nevis Hotel was truly unforgettable, and I’m so grateful to everyone who made my birthday celebration so special. The warmth and kindness of the staff made me feel like I was right at home. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay!

Friendly staff, spotlessly clean. Property appears to be upgrading It will not be an overnight transformation but definitely on the right tracks. Bedroom clean and comfortable . Bed a bit firm for me but this is personal taste. Portable heater in room very adequate as possible heating trouble with radiator. Bar area very lovely decor.A modern Scottish theme. Lounge seating area very traditional , old but so comfortable and roomy. Breakfast room very roomy and comfortable. Food very good both evening and breakfast. Swimming pool very clean , warm and lovely staff. Huge , fluffy towels. If you want a corporate , cookie cutter Hotel , this is not for you . If you want a hotel owned and staffed by people who care for upgrading older buildings and gentle Scottish Themes ,this is for you . Thank You Ben Nevis Hotel for a wonderful weekend x

This isnt a criticism but people should not expect the outside of the building to be as welcoming as the inside . It will be a massive undertaking to keep the exterior build in tip top condition . I have no doubt it will be on the agenda to have everything tip top condition

Everything. Location great and ample parking. Easy check in and great staff throughout, bar man very friendly. Definitely good drinks prices, less than most hotels. Spacious and clean triple room, this was a great surprise, it had everything we needed. I called reception for an extra blanket and they brought it to our door with a smile within minutes. The best thing about our stay was the leisure facilities. Over recent years the hotel has need damaged by storms but they have maintained the pool area brilliantly! Such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Very clean and well stocked with towels and shower gel etc. (just remember your £1 coin for the locker). And finally the whole stay was absolutely amazing for the price we paid! We will absolutely be back, maybe stay longer next time 🤩

We appreciated the staff accommodating us on the bottom floor.. All interactions with staff were welcoming and very positive. The room was very clean and a comfortable bed.

The heat ..no arconditioning, but the weather was exceptionally hot. The Sunday Roast we were so looking forward to .. the meat was soo dry and overcooked and carrot/peas clearly from a frozen packet The outside appearance really needs some attention..very unappealing, some pain and gardening could greatly enhance your first impression

The best feature about the hotel is the location absolutely beutifull surroundings. The staff where amazing well mannered plus very professional. Merissa at the check in desk was brilliant made me feel welcomed from the second we walked in the door excellent service. The room was standard clean but dated a little. Could be doing with a freshen up. The leisure place was good enjoyed the jacuzzi plus the gym had lots of equipment for its size plus a few tiles missing from the roof (refurb needed roof and mirrors) breakfast there was a massive range of food and drink. All in i would give the hotel 8/10 staff 11/10 😊

Great location for anyone that wants to climb Ben Nevis Mountain, the hotel is about 5 minutes drive to the mountain and has a swimming pool and a spa which makes any muscle pain go away after the climb.

The hotel needs a good maintenance company to maintain and look after it, areas like the bathrooms and showers in the swimming pool area are worn out, glass windows were dirty and the hot water in the room was a little temperamental however these issues wouldn’t put me off from staying in this hotel again.

The staff made this hotel exceptional! Every single member was absolutely brilliant. There was 23 of us carrying out the three peaks challenge. We arrived late Friday evening after a 8 hour drive from Liverpool, just as food was about to stop serving, and they catered for all 23 of us without a hint of it being too much trouble (And was great food!). They gave us a smooth check in, looked after us in the bar & allowed us to use the hotel facilities the next day whilst we waited to start our three peaks challenge. Most hotels would kick you off site straight after check out! Could not fault the staffs hospitality & kindness, It was the levels you would expect from a 5* hotel.

Price - Far to expensive for quality of the rooms / facilities. The hotel is in ok condition, but the high price tag most definitely doesn't reflect the quality of the rooms / facilities.
