My spouse and I did a one nighter here in July 2025. She's from a farming upbringing, and wished she'd lived in such a farmhouse. Good view of the sea. The room was very spacious, and well furnished, exuding quality. The ensuit could have made a good size bedroom. I didn't wangle the ensuit blinds, but my wife did, no fuss. The lady of the house was friendly and cheerful - we did not meet her husband. The A77 can be noisy even at night, with ferry lorries, but I slept soundly. A very good breakfast too, with bacon to die for, though the quossant seemed a bit anemic to me.

Only spending the one night there. It's worth two or more.

A fantastic find! We received a very warm welcome from Stuart and Janey at their lovely farmhouse property just a few feet from the shore. The whole place was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. The room itself was enormous, with great views over Ails Craig, Arran and Turnberry Bay - just the thing to wake up to on an Ayrshire spring morning! Breakfast (choose from an extensive list the night before) was served in the room, and was exceptionally good!

Nothing, except perhaps leaving.

Janie was a great host. The room was huge as was the bathroom. Eating breakfast in the room was a treat! As you enjoyed your breakfast you had a beautiful view of the sea and the island off shore. The location was just what we wanted… close to restaurants and attractions. We would definitely recommend and we would book again!

No complaints at all about the property. The house sits close to the road, as most houses do and there were alot of trucks. However, this did not in anyway take away the charm of the property.

This is a beautifully appointed B & B...luxurious, large, comfortable bedroom & bathroom. With beautiful sea views from its bay window. A lovely welcome when I arrived. The room had everything I needed. Breakfast, which is pre-ordered, was served in the bedroom & was delicious. It was super easy to find, just off the main road, with private parking right outside the house. It's only 35 mins from Cairnryan Port so great if you are on a ferry next day.

It was an immaculately good size room which was very clean and comfortable. The host was very welcoming and there was a lovely touch of having breakfast in the room. The best feature of the property is the panoramic view from the bedroom of the sea and the western isles. Truly a wonderful experience to wake up to such a view.

Lovely welcome from the charming host, Janey. Large, very comfortable room with an excellent bed, pillows and bedding. The bathroom is huge with his and hers basins, and a great shower. A substantial, home cooked, breakfast was served in the room. Easy parking right outside the front door.

Nothing.

Exceptionally welcoming and helpful hostess. Fantastic location looking out to sea, and to Ailsa Craig. Plenty of parking. Huge room & bathroom. Amazing breakfast (and Janey's recommendation to Souter Inn for dinner also excellent).

Everything fantastic ... I hope I get the chance to stay here again.

We only spent a night at the Burnside en route to Glasgow, which was a shame, since it was a lovely place. The hostess was super-friendly and very concerned with helping us get to Glasgow Airport without problems! We had a comfortable and very spacious room with a great view to the water. Nice to have breakfast brought to the room.

Warm welcome from Janey and Helen, beautiful very large room with great en-suite. Very comfortable king size bed. Beautiful bed linen, hot shower and large bathroom with twin hand basins. Fresh white fluffy towels. It was so quiet and with blackout curtains for that perfect sleep. A really lovely freshly prepared breakfast of bacon and scrambled egg, fresh toast and jams and fresh fruit and croissant with filter coffee and tea. Breakfast was brought to our room to eat at a window table with views out to the sea over to the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig. We stayed here as a stopover en route back from visiting family further North of Scotland. Perfect! Thank you Janey.

We loved everything !

Room was massive, plenty of space and plenty of storage space. Small dining table and chairs at bay window with a sea view in direction. Bathroom was big with 2 sinks and a big shower with handheld shower head and waterfall head, good pressure. Only guests at property so no other people to attend to. Breakfast had good options and was really tasty

Nothing i didn’t like. But would suggest a google maps top down showing the road in and out, i did find it a wee bit hard to find the road in. Booking.com shows the place as in the middle of a field which was confusing.
