We travelled up to Ayr for a bereavement which was a long journey, and challenging emotionally. Our stay at Barnes Accommodations was lovely. Fuss free check-in, parking permit provided. I somewhat thought their was a kitchenette in the room, I probably misread the description - there is however one kitchen accessible for all guests. We didn’t have much of a need for one anyhow, and, had we stayed longer, sharing it would have been fine. It was well equipped and spotless, plus we never saw or heard anyone during our stay. I love Scottish properties and this one did not disappoint! Lovely bright room, modern and tastefully decorated, big windows, high ceilings. The room was spotless, and smelt amazing. Simple tea coffee making facilities with a sweet little tea cake on arrival, bathrobes and slippers, small but immaculate little shower room/toilet with toiletries provided! Good size flat screen TV, free guest wifi, and, despite the slightly squeaky bed frame, the mattress and pillows were super comfy and we slept very well. The place was in a lovely residential area, so fairly central without all the street noises, and a ten min walk to the beach and café. If we ever return to Ayr, this will be our chosen place to stay. This was a really bright, airy, comfortable room on the ground floor looking out onto the quiet street where I could see my own car safely parked with the permit provided by the owner at my request. All messages sent by me re my one - night stay were responded to almost immediately and detailed check in and check out instructions were provided so that I knew exactly what to do. The bed was very comfy and the en - suite shower was great, too. I think there was someone else in another room but I heard no noise whatsoever from them or the street and got a great night's sleep. I didn't use any of the additional kitchen facilities (so don't feel I can comment on them) but had a delicious breakfast at Café 51, which had been recommended by the property owners. I would definitely stay here again, and, now that I know how everything works, I might even cook my own breakfast!

Nothing - it took me a while to find my way to Barns Serviced accommodation but that's because of Ayr's generally awful traffic.

A great find for our stay in Ayr. The location is just away from the centre, but only a few mins walk. Parking is on a private driveway, or on the road in front, using a permit system. You have use of a full kitchen, shared with other guests. Lots of little touches around the apartment, fresh milk in a small fridge was a great idea. Thanks Julie for a great stay.

Absolutely nothing.

Property is very central to everything you need. Very clean property with access to kitchen, back garden and lounge area. Everything was very clean and accessible. Instructions were clear and everything set out for arrival. Our room was very spacious and had everything required to make the stay comfortable.

The bathroom sink is quite small and close to the wall, which makes it just a little bit difficult to use when washing face or brushing teeth. There was a smell coming from the toilet area, but this was not constant.

What a lovely little apartment. Clean & comfortable with an excellent shower & large bathroom, the robes were a lovely touch. I wish the weather had been nicer so we could’ve utilised the garden area. It was handy to have access to the shared kitchen/ diner with Iron & plenty of glades & fridge to store our booze 😃 It was nice to meet the owners family , working hard to keep the accommodation tidy & clean.

The location is perfect to visit the beach & plenty of lovely restaurants & bars.

Perfect location within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean, with milk and water provided in a little fridge which was a nice touch :) The bed was very comfortable. Having access to the fully stocked kitchen was great and the patio outside was lovely though we didn't use it.

Although we requested a large double, we got 2 singles in one of the rooms. It just meant our 15 year old got to take the lovely, large, bright room with large shower (that was the room with the singles ) while we had the smaller double (still nice though)

Such a beautiful place to arrive to - gorgeous house set in a stunning crescent of other beautiful houses which is close to the town centre. The house is very close to town and the beach and we parked out front and walked everywhere. The rooms are well appointed, very comfy and super quiet. The little touches are everything - nice wee tea tray with some Scottish treats and lamps with USB ports. The shared area is just beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen is equipped and we found the wee.patio a nice place for a cuppa. The message you receive before arrival makes self.check in very easy and they also provide a parking permit - thankfully as one is needed for the whole crescent. We also found the location very easy for getting to Dunure, Burns Museum, and, Culzean. A really wonderful three night stay - thank you!

Excellent place to stay, room was fantastic had everything you needed and more. Was very comfortable and relaxing. The place was very clean and felt a bit like a home away from home. The shared kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and they fulfilled the extra requests we asked for without any trouble. Met the owner before we left, he was very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you for hospitality.

What great luck to have booked Barns for our stay in Ayr! Our room and bath were comfortable and spotless - but the highlight was the gorgeously equipped kitchen and the pleasant dining room. We had a lovely evening taking a break from pub food and takeaways, enjoying our own supper - and breakfast!

The nearest high street wasn’t particularly pleasant to explore, but that’s not the Barns’ fault - just noting that.
