Bed was a little on the firm side for our liking - but that's a personal issue. Although the provision of a continental breakfast was a nice touch, I couldn't appreciate it as much as others as there was a high dairy content with cheese, butter, whole milk, croissants etc. A notification of allergies and intolerances prior to our visit would have been helpful. I am dairy intolerant and needed to find a nearby supermarket for alternative breakfasts.

Large, well-equipped, clean room, with extremely comfortable bed. Very hot water. I was travelling with a dog, and greatly appreciated the provision made for the dog, including an appropriately-sized sleeping crate (which he was happy to use as he has one at home) and use of the garden at the back. Breakfast provisions in the kitchenette meant that I was able to enjoy a d-i-y breakfast in bed. The distance from Cairnryan makes it a good place to break before or after the ferry to NI. The £20 charge per stay for the dog is perfectly reasonable, but it definitely becomes much better value if you stay a bit longer than one night! Very close to intermittently busy main road, so crossing it can be slightly scary at times.

Very generous breakfast laid out in room at check-in. As we were at a wedding and in between the church and Killochan Castle, we helped ourselves to tea and coffee and a couple of croissants on the Saturday and it was no problem for the owner to replenish this for our much needed breakfast the next morning. Very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Ayrshire.

Our room was amazing! We got a lovely upgrade to a maisonette room, which was very much appreciated. The facilities were excellent, the breakfast items were a lovely touch! The option to get more items if needed! The shower was amazing! Bed was really comfy, absolutely loved our stay here! The view is amazing, lovely and quiet. Would highly recommend! Will definitely stay again!

Charming place, tastefully de cvorated. Old fasjioned gpod hospitality. Run by very nice, helpful people. Walk in shower was the best. Dinner menu was good value with good chpices.

Bed was so high and I am short so it was d ifficult tp get imto, but comfortable when you god there. Gravel on ground for disability access made it difficult to walk on with walking stick.

The location is great and the room I had was outstanding I stayed in room 12 and there wasn't one single fault I could find. Massive TV, huge lounge, big bathroom with a super powerful shower. It had a fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Then for the bedroom upstairs, wow, massive comfy bed on a lovely spacious mezzanine floor which overlooked the lounge below. The restaurant is beautiful with a great selection of drinks. The food is amazing and at such a cheap price too. The breakfast was just right, enough to keep me going for the morning. And for the staff, very polite, very helpful, very professional, absolutely amazing.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike

Friendly, helpful, personable staff who went out of their way to help us. Clean. A 3-min walk from the beach. Stocked with all we needed (only found myself missing a coffee drip machine and a carrot peeler). The bus stopped right outside the hotel (no bus stop but it stopped).

It was 3km from town and we had no car. Difficult to find a healthy restaurant in the area, and cooking microwave processed foods is challenging.

We loved the location. We walked into Girvan and explored the area from there. Loved having some breakfast items available as well for the next morning. It’s so close to the ocean and lovely to explore when the tides go out!

No complaints whatsoever! There is a bit of traffic noise but we ran the fan and it didn’t bother us when we slept.

Our mezzanine level room with the 'super king' main bed upstairs was great. The facilities at ground floor level were perfect too with a good sofa bed, chairs and kitchenette. The continental style breakfast in the room was everything that we had expected and the staff were very friendly and courteous.

What can I say - other than everything was excellent from the comfortable beds, amazing breakfast provisions, bottled water etc. and the wet room was perfect for our needs !

Creaky floor boards meant a slightly disturbed sleep when my companions went to the bathroom during the night - slight niggle but if it could be remedied all the better !
