Three weeks ago we stayed at Trump Turnberry. It was our first visit, and in all honesty, we didn’t know a whole lot about the hotel prior to booking, nor did I read any reviews, but if you’re looking for information on a recent stay, then perhaps our experiences may help you in your research. We had booked a villa for our one night stay. Upon check in, we were told that we’d been upgraded to stay in the main building, which was a most pleasant surprise. Check in was quick, and efficient. Our luggage was taken, and the car parked by the valet team. We walked up to our room, and the first thing that struck me, was the level of finish on the materials around the building. You would not know that there was any age to the fabric of the hotel, as everything appeared to be brand new. I come from a construction background, and I’ve seen old hotels that have been refurbished, and Trump Turnberry is really next level in terms of the work, and materials that I’ve been used. Arriving at our room, we were really pleased; it was spacious, and well equipped with tasteful furniture, and furnishings. There was a mini bar with reasonable prices, a coffee maker with sufficient pods, milk, and even creamer. Which is something that you’d usually only see across in the US. We’re British, but we do spend a fair amount of time in the US, and it was really nice to see the imported US fittings in the bathroom. It was literally like stepping into a US hotel bathroom. From the shower, to the twin basins, to the bath, it was all US brands. The bathroom was again a US sized room, and if you’re travelling from the US then you’re really going to feel like you’re home from home. Most of the bedroom furniture was American made, along with US style lamps with twist turn switches. Everything in the room had a quality feel about it. We had a nice view, and could see the sea, and hills across in the distance.

Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The spa was brilliant, managed to use the facilities twice during our overnight stay. The staff were lovely.

A very disappointing dining experience at the 1906 restaurant. Took around 25 minutes for someone to take our order (drinks), we were trying to get attention but no one was coming our way. My husband had to ask for my drink (a coke) 4 times and I got it after 45 minutes of waiting. We received our food an hour and 45 minutes after being seated. The restaurant was not busy and there were so many staff (possibly too many?) but service was not great at all.

I had the most incredible stay at Trump Turnberry—everything about this resort is pure luxury! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. The spa was absolutely amazing and the facilities were pristine. The infinity pool overlooking the breathtaking Scottish coastline was a highlight, and the thermal suite was pure bliss. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant rooms offering spectacular views. The food was exquisite, and every meal felt like a fine dining experience. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a five-star golf and spa retreat, Turnberry is second to none. I can't recommend this place enough—truly a world-class resort! I’ll definitely be returning.

We loved the location and the walks on the estate. Staff was fabulous and made us feel welcome from the first minute. Food in the restaurant 1906, the bar and clubhouse were great. Breakfast was delicious, and you had a great choice. Thanks to the fabulous staff who provided us with an early bird coffee. It was also very nice to enjoy the room service after a long hike and just relax in the room. The room was spotless and spacious. We loved the huge bathroom and the design. We enjoyed our riding experience as family. We can certainly recommend it and will come back asap.

We’ve had the opportunity to stay at other Trump resorts and Turnberry is our favorite so far. The facilities and grounds are pristine. The room accommodations were oversized and luxurious. The breakfast in the main restaurant was exceptional and the views of the golf course were postcard beautiful. We booked the falconry experience but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was cancelled. However, we also booked the archery experience (both are on the resort grounds) and I can’t say enough how much fun we had. Kudos to every single staff person at Turnberry. You’ve made our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning.

My partner and I had came for my 21st on arrival we had a room upgrade which was great ! The staff were so welcoming and attentive before we even got to our room we were pleased, we headed for some cocktails before our meal and felt so relaxed bar staff were great. We went to the 1906 for food staff were amazing had lots of options. The food was amazing and service too. Room was very clean and comfortable too. Room service was amazing food was perfect. Many things to do around also !

It was beautiful and room was cosy and comfortable.

I couldn’t believe a Scottish Hotel and they didn’t serve IRN BRU. We ended up staying another night and although the food is delicious there wasn’t a great choice on our second nights dinner menu, I can’t eat red meat and I didn’t like what was on the menu. There was a man called Gordon who wore a kilt and was very good at speaking to all the guests and telling them all about the hotel and the area around it , vey attentive. The staff were all lovely.

Location, attention to detail, food was really good. Being able to still use the facilities even after checkout. Most of the staff were brilliant. Loved the shuttle from the hotel to wherever you needed to go on the property.

My only blemish was the service in ‘The Dual in the Sun’ where we went for dinner, it was extremely poor! We waited almost 2 hours from being seated to getting our dinner. When asked if we would like to see the dessert menu we said yes, I’m still waiting for it!

The hotel was fabulous, with the central lobby, 1906 restaurant, and communal areas spotless and as we expect in a five-star hotel. The staff were incredibly courteous, polite, friendly yet professional. We dined at the 1096 restaurant, and the food was superb, and the waiting staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

The breakfast was a terrible disappointment and downright failure. There was no allergy information on the food set out on the buffet or pastries, and the staff did not know whether any of the food contained nuts. The hot food was in a buffet, had been left out under hot lamps, and was inedible. I expect hot breakfasts cooked to order when staying in five-star hotels. There had been an evacuation of the hotel guests during the middle of the night due to a fire alarm, and this may have had a knock-on consequence on the breakfast service.

The service from the hotel was very good and all the staff are helpful and polite. The hotels very clean and looks beautiful I will definitely be returning.

There was a mix up with the card machine not working in the restaurant which took over half an hour to let us know that it was broken. Hotel staff on the front desk were very helpful and sorted it out for us very quickly and offered us a bottle of wine which we were very thankful for.
