Amazing staff, amazing location, amazing room, amazing comfortable bed, amazing dinner and breakfast. Just Amazing! We were checked in by the wonderful Sulekha who was so friendly and helpful. The location is great, right on the river and lovely selection of restaurants and pubs nearby.

Car parking is a bit of an issue but that's not the hotel's fault

The staff were all super. Because there is no parking on site(drop off is fine),I rang the hotel before arriving, and the receptionist was really helpful explaining we could park overnight in the Rugby Club for £10. When we arrived ,we left our cases and drove the half mile (10 minute walk back) The reception then advised on local pubs, rang taxis to and from our wine tasting at Chiltern Valley. We ate in the restaurant ,great food and service. Again ,lovely staff. Breakfast the next morning was magnificent. All in all ,super stay.

The hotel is very pretty, well appointed and sitting beside the river. Our room was very spacious and clean with good quality sheets and duvet covers, the bathroom had a tiled step up to the shower which could be dangerous. The air conditioning was a plus, as we had a very busy road junction just outside the windows and couldn’t leave them open. The staff were very accommodating, and helped us move to a courtyard room on our last night, which was very quiet and although smaller than our first room, still very comfortable. We enjoyed the bar they also offered a small bar food menu, but not so many guests were in there, we just felt it needed a bit of life to perk it up.

No parking except for a few cars in the front of the hotel. Breakfast was a little disappointing, there’s a no fresh coffee espresso machine, coffee and tea was served from old fashion thermos jugs, limited breakfast buffet and service was slow. The hotel restaurant was closed when we arrived on a Monday night.

Our room had air conditioning ( in a heat wave ) , it was sound proof and over looked the garden .It was quiet and rest full We had a card welcoming us to the hotel with a nice bathroom .Nice choice of breakfast and seating arrangements .Nice dinner on our first night where we met the fantastic Samantha who we became firm friends with

Break fast ran out of glutton free bread and the mushrooms were not cooked .The decaf coffee was extremely weak As residents we planned a drink before we retired to bed however the bar closed and the bar staff were unhelpful

Our room was a superior room , quite compact but very cosy and well maintained with a comfy bed. We also had a river view which was nice. The shower room again was compact but wonderfully clean, very soft sumptuous towels and bath robes and a very powerful shower. Restaurant food both at dinner and breakfast was excellent. All staff without exception were helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again.

Our rate on booking.com stated that Dinner was included as Half Board but in fact gave us £30.00 each towards dinner in the restaurant.

Pretty much everything really! The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, as well as spacious and clean. Breakfast was also very good - my sister opted for the hot menu, while I had fruit, yogurt and pastries (!) from the bufet- we both thoroughly enjoyed our choices. I very much liked the styling of the hotel, it was smart whilst still being very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend the Relais, and would happily stay there again.

Our room was lovely, and in most respects peaceful - we loved the location of the hotel in terms of being close to the river and also to the church, but unfortunately our stay coincided with bellringing practice 🤣😒 But I guess that goes with the territory! Also the absence of any onsite parking does mean a bit of a hike from the station car park - we appreciate that central town parking can be an issue, but it's not ideal, particularly in inclement weather and with luggage involved.

The room was perfectly clean with all the facilities we needed. As this was an anniversary trip the room had been beautifully decorated which was a very personal touch. The view was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even arranged a taxi for us.

Would like to be able to open a window as even with the heating turned to its lowest it was still very warm. Could hear tv in the next door room but I appreciate this is an old building. I ordered poached eggs and avocado for breakfast and unfortunately the poached eggs were solid as was the toast so I ended up leaving half of it. The toaster is also incredibly slow and old and needs replacing.

Our room was apparently an upgrade, for over£400 for two nights not including breakfast i would have been very disappointed with anything less. I have stayed in many hotels throughout the uk, the room was adequate, great view but the bathroom was very small, a bath option would have been nice. A big issue is no parking, having to squeeze into the front and run in with your cases then move and find parking, was a big negative .

Bigger bathroom, breakfast included in the price we paid and no parking is a major negative.

Room was spacious and well equipped as was bathroom. The hotel was spotless throughout. The young team were all friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant which was excellent. Good menu choices and all the dishes (we were a group of seven) were well cooked and presented (definitely the best hotel restaurant in Henley, possibly the best overall). There was a good ambiance in both the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good but perhaps not to the standard of the food in the evening. Though not particularly cheap, compared to other hotels in the town it offers very good value for money

No on-site parking, nearest car park (at the station) is 5-10 minute walk away but we were aware of this and had downloaded the relevant parking app before hand. However you can drop off right outside the front door. Not a dislike as such, but the cosy bar gets full very easily and appears to be popular with local business people. Believe there might be another lounge somewhere but we weren't shown it.

Our room was nice, with space for suitcases and overlooked the courtyard

Breakfast was extremely slow and the pastries initially weren't available and then when they came out (after 40 minutes) they were burnt. The second morning they were available but burnt. A service charge was added on both mornings automatically. We were there with a group getting ready for a wedding. The staff interrupted photos and drinks to get payment, despite us all staying there so they could have added it to the room if they weren't able to wait.
