The breakfast and dinner were brilliant with our requirements catered for with thought and exceptional talent. We couldn't have asked for a healthier meal with the chef utilising their extensive on site kitchen garden. The grounds are outstanding and interiors are stunning with an attention to detail that I don't think I have seen anywhere else in the UK. I would recommend as one of the best wedding venues in the UK and for anyone wanting to truly relax and wind down from a hectic life this is one of those rare hotels where you can truly switch off and find peace whether it be wandering round the extensive grounds or relaxing in the spa.
The only minor criticism would be the lack of control of underfloor heating in the ensuite in very hot weather. This was not controllable and only really a problem I would guess when high temperature outside as at any other time of the year it would be absolutely fine.

The common areas & Oak barn were elegant & stylish. The food in the Oak barn was exceptional for both breakfast and dinner. Totally fabulous particularly the venison.
We stayed 3 nights in winter. We were in the room " Love in the Mist." Maybe the hotel is better for spring / summer? The interior was not conducive to cosiness. In fact, we had to ask the staff to over ride the air conditioning as we were cold. That worked for awhile but reverted to cold on our last day. A little disappointed in the room interior given the common areas are very stylish.

The restaurant service and food was first class, evening meal and breakfast. Bar and lounges were very comfortable and the staff vert attentive. The rooms were very well appointed.
When we arrived there was no one at the car park attendant to help with our bags. We both have disabilities despite speaking to the receptionist for direction no one was available to assist us and we had to drag our bags a long distance over a pebble drive. The heating was off in our room, the TV was disconnected, and the shower hot water was not working.

Thyme was honestly so lovely. Been wanting to visit for a while and it was well worth the wait. Pretty sure they upgraded our room without telling us. We were also gifted an unexpected bottle of champagne on arrival. The staff we're absolutely charming throughout the weekend. Ox Barn was gorgeous. The Swan roast was dreamy. Even the drive in was an occasion. We ending the stay with fabiulous treatments at the Meadow Spa. Thank you so much for looking after us. Can't wait to come back.

The food is beyond fabulous!! Our room was very comfortable, spacious and well done, great shower and bath. The baa bar lounge is lovely, the property is so beautiful and everyone who worked at the restaurants/ bar were so kind and attentive.
Because of the public access laws in the UK, random people come through the fields on the property with off leash dogs that they don’t clean up after and one who I narrowly escaped from (thanks to a side gate) when it tried to attack my service dog. This isn’t a discredit to the hotel, which is fabulous. Unfortunately they are saddled with having to allow everyone through the main fields on property, and I’m sure that’s more of a pain for them than it was for me but it was scary to have to run away from a large, aggressive dog whose owner wasn’t even staying at the hotel, especially given how much it cost us to stay there ourselves.

Fantastic stay in the Cotwolds - the estate is simply gorgeous with lots to explore around. Long walks surrounded by nature, fresh air and animals grazing while coming back to a warm fireplace, board games, seasonal drinks and snacks. The property is so well decorated and maintained, I am sure a lot of work goes into each detail and it's worth it.
It's not cheap but you're paying for stay and experience vs the actual room you're staying in. Soundproofing in the room is not good (we stayed in a room in the Lodge cottage) so you end up hearing people coming and going. Hopefully not a log of guestes, and certainly all very respectful ones.

Beautiful surrounds awesome interiors. Breakfast was incredible and my favourite service. Staff carrying luggage incredible up all the flights of stairs ! The kitchen garden and vegetable garden were incredible !!!
Didn’t even know there was a pool until last morning - no tour etc Hard to find a drink really had to search for staff.

Exceptional hotel, every single detail in the hotel, garden and the room was so beautiful and well designed. High-quality, yet relaxed service. Food at Ox Barn was excellent.
It would have been great, if the Swan restaurant was open the whole week to give more options for dining, even though Ox Barn was excellent.

Staff and service was excellent. We got a flat tire one night and they were able to assist us with booking AA the next morning. The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet town. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We were able to drive to our room to drop off/pick up our heavy luggage. Breakfast was delicious and they served generous portions. We enjoyed our walk around the property and the garden tour.

The estate is modelled to perfection, tastefully designed and furnished with mostly excellent service. Rooms were balanced in design and lighting, it was a truly lovely space to be in.
A little too many stuffed sheep and rams around... the wall paper was a bit overkill in the bedrooms everywhere. Service from the younger waiting staff in the restaurant was passable - the older members of the team made up for them though.
