Quiet location, closer to a supermarket, bedroom was quite large and it had a walk-in bath. there’s a restaurant in the hotel, and an extra area which looks like a living room of an house. There’s a fitness centre with basic equipment but great for a quick workout. You can walk to a park nearby and it’s lovely.
Mattresses were so soft, but it depends on each person preferences. I’d rather hard mattress. :) There wasn’t much variety in breakfast, but at least they offered gluten free bread/muffins and cereals. Scrambled Eggs were not that great but it seems to be the standard across all hotels in UK now.

I ended up booking this hotel quite last minute in preparation for the Ironman 70.3. It's very conveniently located and just a short walk away from Pennington Flash. The hotel did an incredible job at supporting participants by putting on an earlier than usual light breakfast starting at 4AM, a few hours before their usual breakfast time. Would definitely stay here again if I were to do it again. You can leave your car here for the day if you're competing too.
Rooms are very spacious and of a high quality, you get the nice bonus of having a hard and soft pillow to choose from too. The only slight negative is that the rooms are a tiny bit dated and the AC squeals, although barely noticeable. It's mainly the bathrooms need some new grouting around the trims and it'll be looking fresh!

Staff were great. Room clean, standard UK Hotel room. Food was overpriced but that's standard hotel stuff. Included breakfast was good.
£100 deposit for one. Seems redundant to take a deposit for a hotel room without a minibar. Small annoyance as it was refunded within an hour or so of checkout but it seems ridiculous that it was taken at all. The AC unit in my room was awful. Noisey and annoying. Food, which admittedly I didn't purchase any of, was overpriced, for what it was. Hence why I didn't eat in the hotel apart from the included breakfast. Would've preferred a room with a bathtub than the shower cubicle. And just generally, UK hotels, they are not as good as they are in the rest of the world. That's a general grievances however and not specific to this hotel or its partners.

Easy, no faff parking (I would definitely stay here again when in the area. I did not need to get a paring app or find a parking pad when all I want to do is check in and eat after a long drive, nice food btw). Comfortable beds. The views out the back and the tv area with sofas. The breakfast environment. Bathroom was a nice design and clean. Next to a lovely park/lake that was a few minutes walk away.
Nothing really. I stayed two nights. The first night I was able to go to breakfast early and there was a good selection of food and drink. The second was during rush hour and I had to wait for items to be topped up and the coffee machine emptied. But the staff were so lovely I did not mind a little wait. Personal choice - I would have liked mushrooms thought.

My partner and I were staying here for two nights before Ironman 70.3 Bolton. The staff were extremely accommodating of us and other athletes competing - with the early race day breakfast slot, and the menu specials the night before a lovely welcome touch which took some logistical stress off our shoulders. I was even allowed to shower back at the hotel after the race (and after I had checked out). Really appreciated! And your staff were so friendly.
No complaints!

The staff were amazing, the room was super spacious and bed was so comfortable, I did not want to leave! Everywhere was very clean as well. Breakfast was amazing and the overall service was great.
The only thing that I would say (and I also know that this is not the hotels fault) is that the people next door to us were super loud for most of the night! I didn't complain as I know they were enjoying themselves, it just made it very hard to sleep. However this was no fault against the hotel.

Pleasant helpful staff. Nice bright and airy contemporary communal areas. Good location for a night's stop, ample parking.
Hot food on breakfast buffet could have been better, bacon had been sitting too long in warmers so was very hard. Scrambled eggs, the only choice of egg available, is made from powdered mix and was horrible. But the cold selection was very nice, delicious fresh croissants, good bread and a toaster that works! We had to move room due to terrible vibration noise coming from air con/heater system which we couldn't turn off. But Tracey on reception was very helpful and quickly found us another room where all was quiet.

Perfect for my trip, everything was as described. All the staff I met were friendly and professional, with a special mention for the gentleman who was there in the early hours, I didn’t get his name but I think he was the night manager, and he also served breakfast. They all seemed to have their main duties, but immediately attended to any role if they saw you needed anything. However this particular gentleman struck me as exceptional, his demeanour stood out. I didn’t manage to see him at check out or I would have told him personally. He was proper old school and I could imagine him at any top notch hotel. I’m sure his example influences all the other team members and I meant to ask if he trained all the others.

warm welcome to the hotel on arrival, clean well presented double room, tea & coffee making facilities available, air con, lots of choice for breakfast, good size shower room, near a main road but windows once closed blocked out most of the noise
bed a little too firm for me air con very noisy but the room was cool enough to sleep in scrambled eggs on cooked breakfast strange consistency - hot breakfast not very fresh but plenty of other choices
