This is an outstanding Holiday Inn. I cannot fault it. The decor is gorgeous especially the dining room where breakfast is served. Our room was perfectly clean and had a cosy feel, the shower was new and very hot and powerful, just what you need. The facilities including use of the pool gum and sauna make this hotel great value for money. If it couldn't get any better the lovely Megan on reception catered to all our needs, such a friendly helpful and confident young lady. Megan made our stay superb. We will be taking members if our family next time to show them what they're missing. It's our new favourite place.

Nothing it was top notch!

customer service good although initially I was given someone else's room details on checkin because of a room swap. Room was comfy. Price good. Shower fine. Parking free. Reception areas nicely decorated and provided some interesting machines to purchase items you'd forgotten like chargers, stationery and toiletries. Breakfast area quite nice but would be good to keep the more riotous families with energetic little kids separate from those wanting a quieter solitary breakfast!

Carpark needs resurfacing - pot holes. Shared areas/corridors between the reception and the rooms are tired and look like a 1980s leisure centre. Really could do with redecorating in the corridors although the rooms were nice. The toaster machine at breakfast set a bagel on fire and created a minor emergency with the staff!

The hotel is lovely, really easy to get to and not far from shops etc (a 5 min drive). The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and really nice. Rooms where good, comfy beds, and even though the bathroom is extremely small the shower was amazing! I've been in many hotels that the shower head is fixed to the wall so I can't pick it up to wash my hair but this one isn't fixed, and you can change how powerful it is which was great. The facilities were great, the pool was lovely and great for our family. The hot tub was amazing after a long day out at Chester zoo (about a 25-30 min drive away). And there's a sauna and a small gym. We didn't eat in the hotel but the menu's looked very good, I very much liked the look of the Sourced resturatant with everything being locally sourced.

The lighting in the room felt like all or nothing. It would be great to have a light that could dim. It's hard being in a room with a small child, we had to sit in the dark when she went to sleep as the bedside lights were too bright.

The staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough to help. Our air-conditioning wasn't working at first. Within five minutes, someone came to fix it, and the staff member on the front desk doubled checked with us it was. In the evening, when we came back from a nearby race with a takeaway, the same staff member went and got us cutlery and plates to take up to our room. Every member of staff i encountered was very polite, professional and very friendly! Room clean, beds comfortable. Pool, sauna, etc. was nice.

The only thing was the hotel was looking a little dated, but we would stay again.

Our first night away in 4 years, due to our son suffering a severe stroke at 38, my husband was in a serious accident and then had cancer. So a night away was very much needed. We only booked the one night, as we were attending a funeral. But even though it was only one night, the break was very much needed. The staff in reception were welcoming and friendly. The restaurant staff service was excellent and again the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was lovely and we really enjoyed our evening meal of fish, chips and peas. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was lovely to be able to wind down and relax. We will definitely stay again, hopefully for a little bit longer, so we can enjoy the leisure facilities as well. Thank you so much to all of the staff who made our mini break so enjoyable 😊

Breakfast was excellent, all the hot food was fresh and tempting, good amount of choice of breads, pastries didn't have as much appeal though. Really pleased to see sugar free jams out there rather than having to be asked for. Friendly staff who approached us mentioning cooked items from the menu. I had a mushroom omelette, excellent, so tasty. The bar area was well laid out, plenty of seating, likewise the sofa area just to the side of the bar. Attentive reception staff, very helpful offering places of interest if we were staying longer.

Cinnamon swirls looked a bit tired on the breakfast area, and the curtains in my room (105) had paint splashes on them.

This is our second time here and we came back because the staff had been amazing last time. 8 have to say we weren't disappointed. All the staff again were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, so friendly and helpful. Will use this hotel again, in a big part, for that reason. I also felt the dinner bed and breakfast deal was well worth it and the food was spot on. Thanks to all the staff.

The only accessible rooms have a double bed in them. I travel with my mum and so we need 2 beds. This is about the only thing that wasn't great but won't stop us staying if it's for a few days.

The staff were amazing. Customer service second to none. The duty manager on the eve and next morning of our stay was exceptional. Going the extra mile when things didn't go quite to plan The breakfast was excellent and very tasty, great choices. Loved the pool and our room was located right next to leisure centre.

The evening meal. The Asian tapas were burnt. Like chef has left too long in an airfryer Was complimentary as was so delayed. We were glad we hadn't paid. Didn't spoil our experience as the staff were fabulous. Light wasn't working at dressing table.

The hotel was great. Friendly staff who were keen to help. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. The bedroom was small in size but adequate for our needs. It was very clean. The free wifi worked well and the heating/AC worked perfectly, to have both in a hotel room is rare!

The coffee machine at breakfast seemed to be a real problem for the staff and the coffee it produced was undrinkable, There was a lot of dogs staying in the hotel which meant that I had to avoid public spaces as, whenever we would have used them, there were 10+ dogs around and I have allergies. Both nights we could hear a metallic whirring noise and a dog barking every time we woke up in the night. We didn't bother to complain as I'm not sure how within the hotel's control either issue was.

The reception staff were very professional always asking if we needed anything The Restaurant especially at breakfast was very good the only thing I would have liked was more options for my husband he is gluten free no biscuits cake or a variety of breads seeded or multi seeded would be nice . Non gluten free side they have pastries cakes crumpets various breads etc In the rooms are just biscuits not wheat free you could provide options Overall had a lovely day until next time Barbara & ken Heatley
