The hotel was clean and staff are lovely. We really enjoyed the cooked vegetarian breakfast and unlike other places we have stayed we did not feel "short changed" on this in comparison to the meat eating guests. Lovely location also looking over Llandudno and the beach and surrounding countryside.

The heating was on but our room felt cold perhaps due to the single glazed windows and also it was February. However we managed to remedy this to some extent by keeping the curtains shut throughout our time in the room and when we left for the day. Apart from this the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with all that we needed.

Very nice and stylish hotel which is excellent value for money, I couldn’t believe it was one of the cheaper options available. It’s on top of a hill so you get stunning views of Llandudno from outside the hotel. Staff were pleasant, rooms were nicely decorated with a Victorian theme throughout. Being dog friendly was a massive plus.

Parking is non existent. We had to park down below at the pier which didn’t feel very safe for an overnight stay, and with the hotel up a big hill it was not ideal dragging our luggage to and from the car. There is a road you can park on outside the hotel but finding an empty spot is like winning the lottery.

Beautiful Hotel. It retains all its original features. It has lots of places where you can sit and chat or just relax. There is a well stocked bar if you fancy a drink. This hotel is up behind the Grand Hotel and the views from the sea view rooms are just stunning. Our Room was very clean and warm. The Hotel staff can not help you enough to help make your stay a pleasure. For Breakfast you can choose a continental or a cooked breakfast and lots of fruit and choice of yoghurts and they are really lovely. Thank you for making our 10 year wedding anniversary such a pleasure and for looking after us so kindly we loved it so much,we stayed two more nights ! Best regards

Nothing to not like.

I totally love this hotel.... The view is the best in Llandudno, I was a bit out of puff walking Up the hill but that's cos I'm chubby.. I stayed in room 23 with not only a sea view but a view of the whole of Llandudno.. Love the old antique furniture.. How a hotel used to be. If U want a sanitised modern hotel go to a Travelodge or a Hilton..Staff amazing.... BREAKFAST INCREDIBLE.. COMFY BED NICE THICK MATRESS.... I would come again and try one of the three sister hotels.. I cannot thank staff enough for a memorable few days away..

Nothing..

Absolutely stunning views of Llandudno Bay and Happy Valley from Room 24. Easy check in. Comfortable double bed, airy room and super huge windows to showcase that fab view. Good selection of continental and full Welsh breakfast with hot drinks and juices. Sausage for the dogs. We would definitely return to this traditional, comfortable hotel. We didn't feel the walk up from Llandudno was an issue. You would have to be very unfit not to manage. We parked on the road just down from the hotel. The views and being right next to Happy Valley Gardens with the goats grazing and the Cable Car nearby made it feel special

Room 23 when occupied made the floor move in our Room. So it disturbed us trying to fall asleep until the people in 23 were asleep.

Fabulous character property with lovely features; leaded windows, fireplaces for example. Warm and cosy with comfy beds. Kettles, tea, coffee and biscuits in every room. The views are fantastic! Staff were so friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent!!! Full English, plus all the cereals, yoghurt, fruit and nuts, croissants and drinks from an easy to use coffee machine. There's also a small bar if you fancy a little tipple before bed. Sheep wandered down the road outside every morning.

If you have mobility issues, this is not the hotel for you. We did use Premier taxis to go into Llandudno and back though. As of today £3.60 per trip. This made things so much easier. No lift in the hotel, though staff helped with luggage as required..

Fantastic sea views and peaceful surroundings. Comfy bed. Clean linen and towels. Friendly and helpful staff particularly the lady who checked us in and served our breakfast. Amazing breakfast, varied selection of hot and cold options and the cooked breakfast was simply delicious.

The decor and fixtures and fittings are very dated and worn in places. The bin in the room was tatty, curtains frayed in places and the carpet showing signs of wear. The shower unit is yellow tinged. Just needs modernising and updating. However, only a few small minor details.

Very friendly accommodating staff, Breakfast was a wide variety of home cooked food with plenty of choice We did not have a sea view, but we did have a nice little balcony which made up for that The hill was very steep approaching the accommodation but with a fantastic outlook once you were up there Alex went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay nothing was too much trouble he was always on hand being friendly and helpful

The hill approaching this hotel was 20% variant which is very hard coming both ways to climb but a nice challenge in a way if you are able but not recommended for any disabilities

Great location, lovely hotel with authentic charm, fabulous views, clean white fluffy towels, comfy beds, clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfasts. Welcomed by a lovely young man (sadly did not get his name) the old wooden staircase is amazing and the creaking adds to the authenticity of the building, lovely old pictures on the walls and areas to sit and relax indoors and out. The location is spectacular and the building stands out from afar. Stayed in room 43 on request and would request this room again, clean smell on arrival and tea and coffee to hand. Happy to come here again, lovely stay.

The laundry on the corridors when we checked in, this would have been better if they were put into bags as there were some soiled items that were not nice to see.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, beautiful views across the beach and pier. The room was a little small but perfectly adequate for a short break. Alex on reception was outstanding and worked so hard. Breakfast was lovely, good selection of cereals, croissants as well as a freshly cooked hot selection.

Parking! 5 spaces at the front of the hotel, this really should be clearer on the facility information. We managed to get a space on the road but the car's clutch didn't like it!! Beware if you have mobility issues, the approach to the hotel, either by the path along the road or the footpath in front of the hotel down the cliff is VERY steep.
