The room was very spacious for single person stay. The bed was lovely and comfy, nice fresh bedding. Decent tog duvet to keep you warm on the colder nights. Room included a heater, plenty of storage, bath and shower, all the things you'd expect from a standard room stay here. Food is great amazingly and so is the bar, the drinks aren't as overpriced as you'd expect.

The only think I didn't like was the noise level, which is completely understandable given the fact of the buildings architecture and structure with floorboards. Apart from that, this hotel is a steal of a price for less than £260 for a single person for 7 nights stay.

Lovely to see the grand hotel stayed many times, the hotel has made many improvements looks beautiful, had a fabulous stay will be back soon

Was kept awake second night stayed in room 113 and family stayed in adjacent rooms to me, on third floor the above rooms were occupied by several young men, after complaining to staff on duty that night at 12.30 the noise stopped, as the persons above in the three rooms above us, on the 4th floor made a terrible noise along with two other guests staying at the hotel, the lady was drunk as was her daughter, the mother was half naked walking around the foyer it was a horrendous scene to see shouting and swearing

My room was MORE than hoped for, as the staff had taken into consideration I'm an electric wheelchair user, so had upgraded my room from that which I had booked! - I found this so considerate of them - Again, at mealtimes, the staff were always hovering nearby, in case I struggle with reaching the self-service restaurant - (as were other guests, which was kind of them) I grade hotel stays on kindness, as well as facilities, and I KNOW when I book at The Grand, that my needs will always be met! Thank you, all staff at The Grand, for yet another wonderful short break!

We all know older buildings cost much to upkeep to modern standards expected by todays generation of holiday maker - But realistically, it's never going to be easy! And I feel some of the areas that are a little tired in décor, are more than made up for by the kindness of the staff and management - And THAT is what I judge my review on! Of course, if you COULD dictate the weather, that would be a REAL advantage?! (Ha ha!)

The Grand had upgraded my room, which helped accommodate my wheelchair - The staff were amazingly helpful, especially at meal times in the dining room - I had a seizure the night before leaving (I have Epilepsy) and reception staff, on my asking, gave me an extra 2 hours to pack and vacate my room, as it had left me extremely exhausted! It's these little kindnesses and considerations that make a holiday stay for me.

As always, it's an old building, so some decor could benefit from a little TLC, but it's the staff and how you are treated that counts as far as I'm concerned, and they were excellent!

Lovely hotel , All it's old features , which I like . Beds were comfortable , room clean , warm , staff lovely especially the chef , meals nice , good entertainment from a scouse man ,that played the guitar and sings fantastic . Entertainment in ballroom was okish 🙄

We didnt get are low floor , couldn't get new years eve dinner, spoke to a couple that wasnt in the hotel , Reception told them they cud fit them in 😡 wasnt happy . Only took card payments . Bars , Bar in ballroom very short staffed . Noisey at bingo the staff was . ...... Cause we used lifts with are well behaved dog , people wouldn't get in it , got some looks from people that obviously dont like dogs , if u dont like them then go to a no pets hotel , easy !

well there is no complaints about the food it was top class there rooms were great i found listenig to the sea at night relaxing amd made me go to sleep the only criticism is the door restricters when we booka sea view room we like to go out on the balconys if there is some kind of health and safty problem withe the balconys then it would be nice to know this . on the whole we had a great holiday i just wish i could have stayed longer and a quick last point if everything is on card only payments maybe if you if inform peple whe they book it won,t be such a shock to guests because such as life not everyone can get a debit or credit card .

just to be able to use the balcony and a pre warning about everything is on card payments like parking hotel bars other wise i think you pretty much ot it coverd

I was amazed at the change in the same room that I'd stayed in last year which was still much more than I'd expected after reading all the bad reviews...this year it had completely been refurbished...new carpets and furniture...coffee maker..fridge ..smart TV ..coffees teas and biscuits..plugs by the beds ..and the bathroom was sparkling clean too.the young lady on the desk was very friendly and helpful she even went to ask the housekeeper if my room would be ready earlier as they were quiet...which it was...I only called in just after 11 am to see if I could leave my case till check in but was given the key there and then...this is definitely my hotel of choice when visiting Llandudno in the future

There was nothing at all that I didn't like

I was expecting a room with an inner court view, I was pleasantly surprised to find my room had a view of the sea and Orme. The room was very clean, it was a single room, so big enough for just one person. The bathroom though was big, with a window, so plenty of natural light. At night, the lighting in the room was nice and bright, which I prefer to dimly lit rooms. Nicely painted walls. There was a smart TV, a kettle with coffee, tea, milk and even some biscuits.

Almost perfect, would have liked some sort of curtain on the bathroom window, even though the glass was frosted, a curtain would provide more privacy.

Loved this very old hotel. Nice bar & lounge, friendly bar staff and lovely views of Llandudno Bay. Enjoyed the entertainment on Saturday night, (2 girls with Abba tribute). We had a Premier room, this was clean spacious with a sea view. Good value for what you pay.

The hotel could be great but needs investment by the owners. Rusty balconies etc. although our room 111A had been refurbished, we had a balcony but could not go out on it as I think they are so old and unsafe. Room had a nice bathroom with coffee machine and a large tv. It would have been nice to have a bit of heating on as was a bit chilly after bath or shower.

Stayed many times our room was very good, the thing that let it down was no toilet roll holder had to put toilet roll on floor and nowhere to put towels used at the sink. Couid do with a rail

Poor food. Evening meal and breakfast. The cereals were ok but the cooked breakfast looked like it had been cooked more than once, plus the coffee didn’t work do we couldn’t get a hot drink. Disappointed. They have spent a lot of money on something but seem to have forgotten about decent food
