Room was clean and ideal for what I needed.

The biggest thing was the confusion of the layout. And the staff at the restaurant was rude, they wouldn’t let me eat said they taking no more orders yet let everyone else in. The best one is lady at the reception (the real reception one where u get room card and check in) . She had short blonde hair in her 50’s or 60’s. She’s best one . Also the reception as u go in is not check in desk, she just sells bingo tickets , check is further round with the nice old lady

A little bit tired, but full of character and I like that. Plentiful supply of Clean towels, beverages etc.. Ongoing refurbishment with new carpets and redecorating. Ideal location with free on road parking within a few minutes walk. Been before, and certainly will be going again.

Not a lot at the price.

Nice welcomed when we arrived. Up to the room on 5th via lift very good. Everything we needed in the room and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the check out time was perfect. Thanks.

Nothing in particular. It will take time to clean all the windows in order to have a clearer view. Windows in the room were a little stiff to open and close.

Rooms were quite large and a good size bathroom. Lovely buffet breakfast and my dog was allowed in a special dog friendly area with us. I liked the lounge area and the quiet room for reading.

We were put on 5th floor which was not ideal when you've got a dog who needs to go out to potty..

The room was very spacious for single person stay. The bed was lovely and comfy, nice fresh bedding. Decent tog duvet to keep you warm on the colder nights. Room included a heater, plenty of storage, bath and shower, all the things you'd expect from a standard room stay here. Food is great amazingly and so is the bar, the drinks aren't as overpriced as you'd expect.

The only think I didn't like was the noise level, which is completely understandable given the fact of the buildings architecture and structure with floorboards. Apart from that, this hotel is a steal of a price for less than £260 for a single person for 7 nights stay.

This hotel is in an excellent location though no parking on site we found free street parking with a short walk, we were right at the top of the hotel so no balcony but we did book very late and our sea views were amazing we could also see the seafront and the pier, we didn't have a lot to do with the staff but when we did they were friendly, we loved the old feel to the hotel and the foyer were the bid chandler is is very nice.

So this hotel isn't the cleanest and is a bit shabby and the only time we saw a cleaner was if someone had checked out, I had to fine some more toilet roll and milk, tea and sugar of a trolley which was left in the corridor and floor five were we stayed the lift was out of action so had to carry bags up and down one flight to where the lift was working, we didn't eat breakfast here as it was 7.30am to 9.30am which was a bit early for use but not a real problem. Having said all this I had read reviews so knew most of it but still decided to stay for the quirkiness.

Hotel was in a good position to get into town. Staff on arrival very pleasant and helpful. This is a lovely 125 year old building it was apparent that work had been undertaken to improve decor. Everything was clean our room was a lovely twin room with sea view. Room was freshly decorated and very clean. We found water on the bathroom floor this was cleaned up and dealt within ten minutes of arriving. The hospitality tray even included biscuits. There was bingo and entertainment in the evening for this who wished to enjoy it. Would stay again and recommend to anyone good value for money

Parking was difficult as no onsite parking was available however we managed to find one outside Pillows were hard

The location is brilliant, the hotel looks proudly out to sea, and the sea views are beautiful in the early morning sun. The receptionist was amazing and did everything to make our tip lovely from fixing our booking error (our fault!) to pointing us in the right direction to take a tram up the Orme. We didn't have the breakfast but opted for a fish and chips brunch on the pier. Our room was a good size, clean sheets, working TV and things to make a brew in the morning. A large bathroom with a shower over the bath, clean towels. This hotel has something, it's not glamorous and it could do with a little updating and paint, but it has a charm.

The Grand is a little tired, the floorboards are creeky and there is little sound proofing. We were in a premium room on the first floor, the sea views were beautiful, but you can hear the entertainment on the pier and in the event space in the hotel, folks were having a party until around midnight. It wasn't a problem for us, we came in late and popped our ear buds in and fell asleep.
