Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere with bar below.

The room was okay the heating made a noise whilst it heated up but overall for the price it was good value except for the bed as it definitely needed replacing !!

Adorned with scaffolding at the moment so it will be a shock for most people when they arrive .The double bed was well past it's comfort zone needs throwing out in room 8 you could feel the springs in your back I got round it by sleeping on the other side but if your with a partner it would be completely unacceptable!!! And you could not open the window as they were that old and refused to budge .

A little more care on the cleaning is needed as we walked in my son found 2 false nails stuck together on the floor and I found the last person's used shampoo etc bottles in the shower. Shower was poor went hot and cold didn't keep a nice temperature...maybe a re grout around the tiles for a freshen up. Noisy window blowing in the wind. Vanity table could do with a bit of love or be replaced. Shame food wasn't cooked in the evening.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Wales, and while the property itself may not be the most luxurious, the exceptional kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff made it a truly 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their hospitality shone even brighter when my daughter fell ill—they were incredibly accommodating with our checkout, allowing us extra time without any fuss, which was such a relief during a stressful moment. To top it off, I accidentally left my Apple AirPods behind, and the owner himself kindly posted them back to me via recorded delivery—a gesture that speaks volumes about their honesty and care for guests. Yes, the hotel may be simple in terms of decor or facilities, but the genuine, personal service more than makes up for it. If you value warm, attentive hospitality over fancy amenities, this is the place for you. A huge thank you to the wonderful team for making our stay so comfortable—I’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates heartfelt service and a welcoming atmosphere.

There are no lifts, which would be nice to have in the future

Good location staff very nice room was clean had been recently updated beds were comfortable and clean.was good value for money would stay again. Was a nice bar downstairs food was lovely people friendly and welcoming overall enjoyed the trip was just what I expected for what I paid. Just be mindful you must be used to stairs to stay there as the hotel is on 5 floors but you are notified of this in advance

Good views of Welsh mountains, the great orme and the sea. Room was spacious Less than a 2 min walk to the sea front We had breakfast at the hotel and thought we paid good value for what we had. Staff were really friendly, polite and helpful

The amount of stairs to get to the room as we were on the first floor. There was a puddle of water round the bathroom bin under the sink. We reported it to reception on the 3rd day it hadn't been checked out by the time we checked out on the 4th day. The puddle wasn't there on the first day There was no floor Matt's in bathroom next too the bath so we had to use towels on the floor for when we got out the shower so we didn't slip. The shower screen in room 3 could do with being a foldable shower screen to the length of the bath or a shower curtain.

There wasn't anything we didn't like what the staff wore in control of. The room was spotless, clean, fresh, and welcoming. Was a little cold on arrival, but all it took was a hike down the 5 flights of stairs and ask about the heating which got put on immediately, and then we were complaining to ourselves it was to hot. Thre girls loved being entertained, by the seagulls that kept tapping the window. We will definitely use them again if we plan a trip to Llandudno again. I just want to add that I am very grateful for the valentines gift they arranged for me on arrival, which they left on the bed for her to see when we entered the room and then allowed me to pay on arrival. Top marks from me and my family.

There wasn't anything apart from the weather, but I was the daft one to book in February, which meant there wasn't a lot for 3 young girls to do. BUT NONE OF THIS WAS THE HOTELS FAULT..

As a lone female traveler, I felt safe in my room .Felt at ease in the bar , met some of tbd locals .Watched football , chatted with other guests .The room was clean , and had small shampoo and wash included .Good amount of tea ,coffee ( even decaf ) milk sugar and biscuits .Plenty of towels Good bed linen and nice bright lights .The staff were really welcoming but natural , not in anyway false .Very chilled atmosphere .The breakfast was brilliant for the price .I had I think , The Alex breakfast but I should think any would be great .Honestly it was a great stay .Staff even advised me where I could park on the street for free .To be honest. On the church car park I only paid £8.50 for 24 hours .I thought this was a very good price .

I chose the Alexandra hotel based on great value for money and location versus any other much more costly competition in Llandudno or the local area. For the price paid it was overall excellent and as I expected. I was accommodated on the fourth floor. Not a problem for me, but there is no lift, so those not capable of many flights of stairs beware. I didn't have an opportunity to mention to the owner / staff that the electric shower in my room en suite went from comfortably warm to uncontrollably freezing cold about every minute regardless of any setting changes. This was annoying. There were plenty of towels and sufficient shampoo / shower gel - good. The room heating radiator was fully on, but it still felt rather cold overnight and nothing I could do about it. The bed and plentiful pillows were clean and comfortable. I was pleased to find a kettle with tea and coffee in the room, with a small packet of custard cream biscuits too - great! An enjoyable quality breakfast was charged extra to the room (as expected) at quite reasonable prices for a good selection and freshly cooked to order. The food arrived warm and in only a few minutes - great. Overall, I would be happy to stay here again based on good value for money.

As mentioned in my mostly positive review: Intermittently freezing cold electric shower. Room heating was only barely sufficient.

Room was comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. I was on the second floor so stairs need to be used but I knew that so it didn't cause me a problem. Bathroom and toilet and shower were clean.

Scaffolding does surround the building which made it difficult to find but then again quite a number of buildings along the road had scaffolding up as well.
