The hotel is in a very convenient place right around the corner from Aldgate East tube station, which made it easy to get right into the heart of London for shopping, sightseeing and going to the theatre. The room was a good size and very clean and quiet, so I was able to rest at the end of the day. Breakfast was a choice of cooked and continental meat, dairy and plant-based options, which seemed to be refreshed fairly often by staff who looked after the restaurant, so that was more than enough food to set me up for hours afterwards! I think there was also the option to eat in the restaurant for dinner, so that was handy too.

The room just looked into a central courtyard, so there was no view, but this is probably why it was quiet.

I liked how close the underground station was. Also plenty of breakfast/dinner spots near the hotel. The staff was always friendly and when asked to lower the room temperature they complied and sorted it out when we were out.

The bathroom was simply put weird. It’s like a boat in the middle of the room. It smelled disgustingly from the drains everytime we used a bit of water, it was seriously off putting and was also loud when draining. Another downside was that we couldn’t air out the room - windows do not open. We would also not recommend the room to anyone with allergies due to carpets. Breakfast was okay but not really good, so we only took it once. It was way too expensive when you have other (better) options nearby. The dining room was too small, we were there off season and barely got a place.

The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. They cleaned our room and changed the towels every day. Breakfast is inexpensive; however, the price is lower if you reserve it upon check-in. Also, public transportation is very close to the hotel. The bus station is in front of the hotel, really just four steps away. The district line and the other pink line are a 50-step walk from the hotel. It is an amazing location, and the service was amazing. I stayed in an Airbnb on every trip to London; this was my first time in a hotel. And it was an unforgettable experience for me. Also, the hotel was very nearby to Liverpool Street. So, you can find easily to Union Pizza, Donburi and Co, Spitalfields Market and Marugame Udon.

This hotel absolutely categorically far exceeded my expectations without a shadow of a doubt. Wow ibis is famous for being below par, the rooms very basic and yes, whilst the room was basic in some respects nothing else was basic. If you want to come to London I absolutely insist you stay here you'll have the time of your lives. And now I've said this I'm worried everyone will come as it's so good I wanted to keep it secret. Keep up the good work and yes we have already mentally planned our next visit.

More storage and towels in the room but we could have asked for more towels and I know they would have happily provided.

Staff were super friendly, and helpful. The room was lovely and quiet, and the food was delicious. Staff on reception were also very pleasant to deal with, and very helpful with even the smallest things. Even late at night, we were able to ask for extra milk and teabags for our room, with no issues. Was very pleasantly surprised with how lovely the experience was. The location is also very convenient, being right beside a tube station. Would definitely stay here again.

The pillows were very hard and difficult to sleep on, but that was the only downside to this hotel.

Great service from friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Great location with Algate East metro almost next door. Hate cumberland sausage, had breakfast out of hotel. Due to great location, we had lots of choice, highly recommended "Jack the Chipper". We've had breakfast on previous stays and apart from sausages it was great. The shower rooms are pods and are spacious with a brilliant shower. Even with the pod, the room still felt spacious. Had a great stay, will be back.

Stayed before and they had a drinks chiller. Self service at reasonable price. You could help yourself by getting a bar code from reception. This was empty. If they are getting rid of it, please put something in its place. Empty chillers gave hotel an unfinished feel and doesn't do such a great hotel justice.

The hotel is located next to both the underground and bus stops, and all main London's attractions can easily be reached in a very short time. The staff was kind and helpful, but the breakfast is their true masterpiece! It's rich and varied with genuine flavors and a very wide choice, including vegan and vegetarian (which we are not, but it was nice to see they were included).

In our room there wasn't a toilet brush, which however we have had the chance to observe seems to be a habit in the UK, so no big deal.

Hotel is ideally located, staff were friendly and the room was clean. Check in was fast and completed quickly. Check out was also excellent. Lifts to all rooms so those traveling with a lot of luggage need not worry.

Have to say the breakfast was terrible. No food (at 9.25am) and what was there of the hot food wasn't hot and was basically inedible. A real shame as the hotel and staff were good but this ruined the trip. Had to leave the food so therefore the value didn't add up. Dirty, messy area with plates stacked up. Real let down,

Great location, good accommodations and fairly decent service. The hotel is pretty and reception will try to accommodate as much as they can, For example, we requested a fan. However, it was very dirty, full of dust, so I had to clean it before turning it on....but at least they had one!!

The restaurant! Very understaffed! Super slow! We stayed here from May 02-05 2024, on two separate occasions, we were not even able to order dinner nor drinks. We HAD to leave the hotel to eat, which was extremely inconvenient!! The last time we tried to order was about 730-8pm, I was told it would be at least 30 mins (fine) so as I was just about to pay, the chef torn into the bar area where I was placing/paying for my order and snapped at the waiter stating that he "does not have any time time to cook and will not make any more orders"! Again, it was 730-8pm....which is not an unusual time to eat - especially when on vacation.

Very good location at the subway station. Friendly stafff. Rich breakfast, beaked beens, eggs, baked bacon, sausages, vegy sausages, fruits, sereals, muffins, croassans, and much more...... Good bed, we slept good.

It's hard to think of anything that coul be better. Maybe thay could add some fresh vegetables at the breakfast, but otherwise there is plenty of choice....
