Easy to find from the dlr train station (Custom House excel), staff were extremely helpful they allowed me to check in early as I had travelled from very early in the morning and I’m pregnant and was so tired so I’m very grateful that they (shamima thank you) let me check in early, the rooms were clean and beds comfortable, shower water was hot, room was very quiet and I had a lovely view over the river. Staff at the bar were very helpful and chatty. Breakfast had lots of options and was tasty. The hotel was very close to the cable car aswell to go over to the O2 arena for our concert. The value for money for a night was very good too.
Nothing!

Great and friendly service in an amazing location very spacious and comfortable rooms and bar lounge area felt very welcoming, very easy to check in and check out and felt quite secure, nice sized shower and brilliant view of the dock area lots of airplanes going over head due to the airport nearby but with the window shut we couldn't gear them coffee pod machine and kettle with pods, teabags, milk and sugar that's refilled daily unless requested not to be.
The food wasn't the best and came quite slow and there weren't many options for people who are celiac or gluten intolerant or many options for lactose free, the TVs are quite glitchy sometimes and don't connect well with apple devices.

This might be a hidden gem of London. I just loved the location. It is extremely easily accessible by public transit, the neighborhood is fantastic, it is a very quiet and nice area. The hotel itself was clean and nicely maintained. The room had everything I needed and was perfectly furnished. The staff were lovely, kind, and always helpful. Last, but not least, the price per night is actually quite reasonable. I think this is now my go-to hotel in London.
I can't really think of any significant issue. I suppose that some people might not like the bathroom, which is basically a capsule similar to bathrooms on a plane or train, but it did not bother me at all. In fact, it seemed to me like a very clever design.

The breakfasts were excellent. The usual choice of cereals, and various types of bread, but the standout was the cooked breakfast. Vast selection of cooked foods, and all of it fresh - not the slowly-congealing-in-fat sausages and bacon that is sometimes offered. Very, very good breakfasts. Also worthy of mention was the staff. From the moment we checked in, everyone - bar staff, restaurant waiters, everyone - treated us politely yes with a friendliness that seemed genuine. Of particular note was Azir (sorry if I slipped up with the name spelling) He checked us in and recognised how weary we were after our long journey. Welcomed us as if we were old friends. Thanks to everyone there.
The room was a bit tired, and could do with a repaint. They were clean though, which is of course important.

Staff were lovely and the room was better than I had expected from an Ibis hotel! We had a lovely big window overlooking the docks. Other than that, it was very clean and comfortable. We were only here for one night for a concert but it was a great location to travel to the O2 (a short walk from the cable cars, my favorite!) and the station next to the ExCel will get you right to Heathrow Airport. The lobby also has nice areas to relax in with a bar and I believe a little tuck shop, but as we were only there for one night we didn't get a chance for a good look.
Shower was very slippy! Some sort of rubber matt would be helpful

I've a real soft spot for Ibis hotels - the no-grout bathroom saves you the worry of seeing mould, I always know what to expect decor-wise and it's truly highly satisfying for a weary traveller. I liked the wide bed, the hair dryer, the bathrobe, the coffee/tea-making facilities in my room. There was a sweet touch of a cookie waiting for me too. The location was perfect for my purpose, getting to and from the city centre is pretty convenient with the nearby DLR station. The staff were agreeable, especially Tom who provided excellently swift service, thank you! Definitely coming back.
the overhang over my 8th floor window - keeping the light away and making the room a bit gloomy

Liked location by docks and very close to Excel and o2 by cable car or underground. In general, all good would use again as I prefer cheaper options as it's just somewhere to sleep
I wouldn't say i dislike it, but reception could be a little more cheerful and friendly, or is it I'm getting used to hotels abroad 😀 though they were not rude or anything just doing their job. Oh yes, cleaner tried to enter room at 9 (opened door), on day we left, we were still in bed, surely should be a system where they know we haven't left yet? Besides knocking and entering.

Excellent breakfast: good choice, hearty, very tasty, generous english breakfast-- good fruit choice. N.B. I arrived at Canning Town, and no taxi was in sight. I saw an Ibis opposite the exit and asked for assistance to Ibis, Excel. The Ibis member of staff was most helpful and promptly arranged a taxi for me: well done, Ibis. Staff at Ibis, Excel, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The excellent Elizabeth Line should be part of your marketing material.
Carpet in my room could be updated. Sandwiches (or some kind of food, even biscuits) should be available at the bar to purchase after the dinner has closed in the evening. Bar area not well laid out or inviting: I felt I was either part of the entrance lobby or the breakfast area .

Excellent location on the docks. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection at breakfast including gluten free bread, yogurts, cereals, fruits, cooked breakfast items, meats cheeses, and vegetarian options. There were various non-dairy milk options too. Rooms were very clean, modern, with comfy beds and the large shower was good. Just enough coat hangers for clothes for a couple of days. Rooms had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Easy enough to get over to the o2 arena via cable car or tube (you'll need to walk from Canning Town station or get a taxi if it's after 11.30pm).
There was no non-dairy alternative to butter at breakfast. Pillows were were flat and hard.

The location and price are pretty good and you get what you expect. There was nothing exceptional. The breakfast was varied and quickly restocked, though seating is limited during big events or group visits.
The price could have been better, but since there was a big event on at the excel centre all hotels boost their prices. Like all hotels in the colder months, you can't change the room air conditioning to cold air, so even if you arrive hot from carrying cases or touring, the most you can do is open the window to people and planes making lots of noise. This also means everywhere in the hotel feels warm and stuffy. You must bring your own pillow, the pillows provided do pretty much nothing and are very uncomfortable. Be careful in the shower, the soap dispensers are at a height where someone of average height or shorter will end up shooting soap into their eyes.
