Property was brand new and nicely decorated.

Whilst I liked the property overall the waiting staff, namely what seemed to be the manager who worked in the bar area was quite stuck up in our opinion. The overall service of the hotel was not the best, staff a bit arrogant. Also, whilst i respect people being Muslims I don’t see why I should be forced to abide by someone else’s religion. The English breakfast didn’t contain anything pork, contained beef sausage and beef bacon. I do believe people have the right to choose.

Beautiful decor, very cool art work, wallpaper, bold colors (red tiles). Emasculate room, clean, comfy bed, nice touches of having still water and coffee available in the room. The restaurant LIMA was delicious and affordable, also with tasteful decor.

The staff at the restaurant and overnight in hotel were not as friendly or as helpful. At times hard to locate the overnight doorman/concierge. For example, when told that the elevator was stuck on level 2 for several minutes, with no ability to get it moving, he argued that it wasn’t stuck and the button needed to be pressed (not only condescending but incorrect).

This hotel is exceptional! The staff are incredible - so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful - whether at front desk, restaurant or bar. They made our stay so pleasurable. The decor is brilliant with decorative touches from House of Hackney and Peruvian accents in the restaurant. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the food in Lima in the evening was superb. The rooms were super comfortable, with luxury linens and toiletries and a large walk in shower. there is a large construction project nearby but we didn’t hear any noise at all from this. great location with lots of nearby restaurants. I give this hotel the highest recommendation.

We booked the hotel as it was close to a family event we were attending. The location was great for this. It a was a relatively small boutique style hotel which we loved. Everything was quite new and spotlessly clean. The bedroom was not huge, but as you would expect for London, and the bathroom was spacious and had everything you need. We liked the courtyard which was a good place to relax with a glass of wine. Probably the best thing about the hotel was the staff on reception, who were very helpful and made you feel very welcome.

Although the location was great for us, if you wanted a hotel close to the main sites it was a little out of the way. However this didn’t worry us as it was close to Liverpool Street Station from when you can use the underground to get anywhere. There was also lots of construction going on around the hotel, but once again we didn’t find this a problem as didn’t notice any noise inside the hotel. The breakfast was rather disappointing. It was cooked to order with a good selection but didn’t quite come up to our expectations.

Location is good Breakfast is excellent , small buffet but you can order one dish from menus ,very nice . Every room is different , very very decorative I love it.

Construction just in front of my room window. ( that’s ok , I knew it from other guest review)There were only black- out curtains ( no sheer curtains) , so the situation is either you let the workers see you , or stay in the dark room with room lights There was no noise though. The Iron in the room was basically there to let you know they have provided “ iron & iron board “ but iron didn’t work. I never had necessity to use an iron in the room but this time my husband tie was crumpled I had to use iron … no chance, We bought a new tie.m

Love the decor cleanliness and location

Didn’t like the new layout of the breakfast area, the hot breakfast was nowhere near as good as our previous visits.. Also do not like how you are pressured into leaving a £12.50 tip to reception on check out We are due to stay here again in October with some friends who have never stayed at Sun Street before as , this visit was nowhere near as good as the last one we’re having second thoughts and changing our booking for this property. It was our anniversary while we were there and I had to ask on arrival if we could have a glass of the complementary fuzz they were giving away to other guests. This was not offered to us..

We recently celebrated our 25th silver wedding anniversary and chose this hotel for the occasion. I had mentioned the anniversary in advance, and we were so pleasantly surprised to find balloons and a few pastries with a “Happy Anniversary” message waiting for us in the room — such a thoughtful and personal touch. The hotel has a beautiful, period-style charm throughout the lounges, paired with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Our bedroom was spotless, and I have to say, the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on — an absolute dream! The in-room coffee machine with quality pods was also a nice bonus and made for a great start to each morning. The bathroom was spacious with spot-on interior design — both stylish and functional. We also really enjoyed the breakfast during our stay. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that made our special occasion even more memorable.

A wider fresh pastry selection for breakfast would be a welcome addition.

Beautifully decorated hotel, care has been considered when designing the feel of the rooms. Spacious room with a stunning bathroom. I didn't manage to eat at Lima, but from what I could see it looked amazing. Staff were very friendly, and offered us a free update and glass of sparking wine on arrival. Location was great for our needs (Liverpool St station) and it was fairly quiet.

My only note is that we didn't find the pillows particularly comfortable - although that's personal preference. Had we stayed more than one night I'm sure the friendly staff would've accommodated a request for new ones. Thanks.

Beautiful hotel, we had a great room. Hotel is convenient to our conference at the Barbican and lots of other things. Breakfast was great with good service in a nice room. Their dinner menu is limited but plenty of pubs within minutes walk so lots of choices available. Our week was abnormally hot and the air conditioning was typically minimal but we did ok. Staff are great.

The system they have in place to reach front desk or anyone is to send a Whats App text - and there doesn't seem to be anyone monitoring that. So you have to go down to the front desk to ask for anything. Not really a fan of that system.

Staff were excellent, really personal service and this is what makes a real difference to your experience. Love all the 'nooks and crannies' - some great spaces to have drinks and felt like a home from home. Suite was gorgeous with lots of great touches, thick towels and robes, lovely toiletries, great selection of good teas and coffee machine ... Love the quirky decor but personally feel the deep colours are more Autumn/Winter so was perfect for our February stay where we had double celebrations for my birthday and a wedding!

Lighting is subdued and could be better in the dressing table area as it was difficult to see.
