This experience was tremendous and exceeded my expectations. Ana, our host and connection always went the extra mile to stay in good communication with us before our arrival and after our arrival. Her colleague Marinka was also super helpful! Everything we needed from Ana was provided - a beautiful room, early check-in, easy check-out. WOW. The bathroom was spotless, warmed tiles, thirsty towels, great decor, privacy windows included, great shower, lots of space for things, and a hairdryer! Centrally located to tube station, bus stops, great restaurants and shopping...the location off the main Liverpool Street. It did (at first glance) seem like it might be noisy, but it was absolutely peaceful and quiet! Like an oasis after a long day. I loved the kitchen, too! Conveniently right off the room, great coffee in the morning, and lovely tea at night. Delish cookies. Brilliant Housekeeping made my room sparkle every day. Tight hospital corners, fresh feel, suuuuuper clean.

Nothing. This experience is exactly as described on Booking website, even the stairs were manageable, charming and cosy.

The location was ideal as I travelled into Liverpool Street. The room was very chic and modern and the shower was good.

I had to climb up two flights of stairs but a staff member helped me with my case both coming and going. At first I was rather dismayed as there was no kettle in the room but I then found the guest pantry which had not been pointed out to me.It was reasonably well provisioned but there was no Earl Grey tea, just a selection of fruit teas- not what I want first thing in the morning. None of it made up for the lack of provision of breakfast. It was noisy with drinkers outside using the pub. There was no useable mirror over the table in the room.

Hotel was very good choice for me as a solo (work) traveller. Everything in room was ok: free soft drinks, chips, coffee, tea. Bed was very comfortable! And hotel staff very proactive in communication.

It was a bit hard to sleep, because nearby office workers enjoyed their sunny afterwork beers quite late and they wanted to sing as well. But really that was the only thing that bothered me during the stay. Otherwise this hotel was a very good choice.

The Bull & the Hide was a complete pleasant surprise. I would say it was as close to perfect as lodging can be. From the layout of the room, to the amenities, comfy bed, and incredible location, it was a highlight of our trip. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and again.

The building across the way has VERY bright lights that come in through the blinds and kept making me think the night was over. There is some noise from the bar below but they close up early AND the bedroom area had no noise. None of this is a show-stopper, just info.

Location was great for our needs. 2 minute walk to sister in law's hotel, near to the tube and great for the east end. Complimentary tea/coffee etc very appreciated

3 floors up,all stairs. Very difficult for those who are disabled/infirm/elderly. Lady assured us it was worth it for the spectacular views. It wasn't. We overlooked a noodle bar or something similar. Only way we saw anything like a view is if we craned our necks to see out of a couple of inches of window, could just about see a tower block at a push

Perfect location to stay for a city break. It is next to Liverpool St station so really easy to get around using the underground network. The room size was large and very comfortable. The bar on the ground floor is nice and cosy for a drink after a day spent sightseeing and / or before going out for the evening. My only slight negative would be the cost of the room but it is, relatively speaking for London, good value for the size of the room and relative to hotels in London in general which charge similar prices for a smaller space.

Could have had more coffee in the room.

Big room good toiletries and shared tea making area with complimentary drinks. Room was quiet overnight as nice and high away from street noise. Cool and comfortable and really easy distance from Liverpool street station with loads of cafes nearby.

For anyone not fit and able or with lots of luggage there are quite a few flights of stairs to go up, just as a heads up but it wasn't off putting for us.

Room was great -- very clean, very comfortable, and spacious. The room was directly above a great little pub.The street was a little noisy with the occasional revealer until late (or early?) -- the room was still worth it though, and I would definitely stay there again.

Just a bit noisy at night. I think the garbage crew came through in the wee hours. So if you are a super light sleeper, the streetwise room may not be for you. It really didn't bother me or my teen daughter much.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. The room is flawless, everything feels new, the bed is super comfy, the bathroom is spotless. I can't fault this wonderful place.

Just a bit of noise from the patrons downstairs having a good time! Just bring ear plugs if it's summer and people are going to be having a drink on the street. Would advise against for anyone who can't handle stairs too.

The location is just in front of Liverpool Street Station, making it a great choice for a city-center stay. The room is large and comfortable, with a spacious ensuite bathroom equipped with both a bathtub and a shower. The room was clean and well-equipped. Free water and snacks were provided. Despite being located above the eponymous pub, the third-floor room is quite peaceful. The room was at the third floor and there is no lift inside.
