The staff were lovely, really cheerful and kind. The room was massive, the bed huge and very comfortable. We got upgraded to a kingsize, river view for free, which was really appreciated. As was the 11am checkout, biscuits, water and mini fridge. The shower was the best I have used in a hotel in a long time. We checked in after 11pm and it was no problem. The breakfast was buffet style and contained a hot breakfast as well. I loved the location, such a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. Really wide corridors and lifts everywhere, which I feel would be great for people who are assisted with their walking, those who use wheelchairs, or for those of us who like a bit of space. It is first on my list of the place to stay in South and Central London next time. 5-10 minutes from the DLR underground stop Customs House. We parked at the ExCel arena which is 5 minutes' walk away and is £25 for 24 hours (no hourly rate, I think), which is steep but secure. You pay on the way out with a card at the barrier, so nice and easy. For disabled drivers with blue badges there are spaces within seconds of the hotel (see the pic with the trees in).
Not what we didn't like, but a note to anyone who is staying in a yacht / ship hotel. The window in the room does not open, (which makes sense on a sailing vessel but I didn't realise). There is air conditioning though, but for an outdoor breeze you need to go on deck :) It would be nice to have teapots and a milk jug option, so you don't need to keep going back for a cup of tea at breakfast.

Great location and a unique hotel experience. Lovely staff, and they always go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. Lovely grand staircase on the ship. Breakfast had great options and selections for all. From buffet to continental and a good selection of drinks. I'd highly recommend this as your next hotel experience, especially if you are attending any events in Excel. We got upgraded to the captains room, and that is an amazing experience having the deck of the ship to yourselves. Amazing views and a nice place to relax in the evening. We felt honoured and lucky to have that experience. The hotel is on the doorstep to custom house and Elizabeth line, so easy access into central london and Paddington if required.
The only issue we had with our stay was that the air-conditioning was a little weak in the bedroom. So it was a little bit warmer than we'd like, but it was still fine to sleep. It was great in the cockpit room and nice and cold, so maybe the machine in the bedroom needs a recharge or maintenance. Breakfast had food that was a little cooked too much, such as the fried eggs. But to be honest, that's just me being a little picky, and I'm sure if I raised these concerns, the staff would have gone out of their way to resolve it for us so don't let this put you off the amazing experience at this hotel. Everyone has an off day!

Well, we paid extra for a larger room with a balcony and river view. Now, it was well worth the extra as the room was larger than most with a nice view from the 4th floor, which is one away from the top.We liked the separate sitting area and the large bed. Well, there is a restaurant there, plus a pleasant bar with a good menu.
Well.it is on the flight path from the City Airport from 7 am until 6 pm, and the planes have either just taken off or just about to land. Also, you do need to catch an Elizabeth line tube for access to Central London, but they are fairly frequent, and it only takes about 20 minutes. Now, there is no breakfast in your room, which we prefer, but this is only a minor fault.

The Yacht Hotel is a beautiful 4-star hotel with an impressive entrance, situated in an excellent location surrounded by stunning views. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and offer a breathtaking view of the Royal Docks. Additionally, the hotel provides a variety of breakfast options to suit different preferences.
This marks my second stay at your hotel. During my visit, I realised I needed to extend my stay by an additional two nights. I approached several staff members at the reception desk, most of whom informed me that they were unable to assist due to the hotel being fully booked. However, my experience improved significantly once Ms. Euridice, the hotel manager, and Luca began their shifts. Their professionalism and assistance were exceptional, and they successfully reinstated my positive opinion of the hotel. I am truly grateful for their support and dedication during this time. Thank you once again for resolving the matter so effectively.

Great location, staff amazingly helpful and polite, clean and spacious rooms. Honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed in London.
Only fault I can raise about my stay was the food we had. The burgers we ordered were very dry and bland. But that’s the only thing I can say bad about my stay and that’s a very minor thing.

The location was excellent for easy access to the Excel which we were attending during our stay. It was also convenient to get the Cabe Car across the Thames to the O2. The room was fabulous. We had a balcony with River view and it was stunning. The whole place had a feel f being on a Yacht without being overly nautical. Everything was clean and well presented. Breakfast was ok. I was pleased that a veggie sausage option was given. You had to request this but the serving was delivered quickly and they tasted delicious. Service to replenish the hot food was quick and efficient and requests were dealt with quickly.
During our stay the main bar had been hired for an event so the facilities for guests were moved to the 5th floor which had limited seating as well as no draught beer options. This was ok but not ideal. My only criticism of breakfast would be the breakfast eggs. The scrambled eggs were too sloppy for my taste and the fried eggs looked like they'd just been thrown from a distance on top of each other into the tray.

One of the nicest hotel experiences I've had. The location is perfect, with breathtaking views. The staff were all lovely, extremely helpful and really went over and above. No comparison in price for the experience of this beautiful accommodation. The rooms were huge, tasteful, excellent facilities, underfloor bathroom heating, comfortable beds and a balcony. You just can't get that for a standard room in a regular hotel for a marginally cheaper price. I really can't wait for the next trip to London, this is the only place I will be booking in future Thank you for an amazing stay

The hotel was such a lovely experience, we wanted to stay in London, but something a little different to a ‘normal’ hotel. This yacht was just the perfect answer, we loved it! Breakfast was really good, I am Gluten intolerant and they made me fresh toast every morning and there were also gluten free cereals available too. The buffet was a full cooked breakfast and also each day there was a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, bread/ toast, various pastries and also preserves including Nutella and marmite. Drinks were available freely, a choice of infused water, orange juice, apple juice and a machine for tea/ coffees and hot chocolate. All staff were really friendly, courteous, helpful and polite. Our cabin was really spacious, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever stayed in whilst away from home! The location was perfect for staying in London, with access to the DLR and the Elizabeth Line within a short walking distance. We would definitely like to stay here again!
The wi-fi for the cabin we were in was very temperamental. On our last night, the people above were quite noisy for a long period of time, but it didn’t keep my daughter awake.

We liked the serenity, ambience and calmness of the place. I felt very relaxed and comfortable here. We’d also had a faulty air conditioner which we reported and it was dealt with immediately by switching our rooms. Thank you Sunborn staff, you’re super amazing and you made our stay forever memorable
I was rather disappointed that they didn’t have a varied range of vegetarian/vegan food options, as I am one, and would suggest their menu is improved on this, otherwise the restaurant and staff were top Class 1.
