Close to St Pancras station and quite room. Air conditioning in room was a godsend.

Hotel in process of refurb and bedroom room walls were marked, needs painting. Rooms look to be potentially the last things to refurb. Room number 306.

I recently stayed at House of Toby in London, and it was a nice experience overall. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and room were clean, which made for a pleasant environment. The staff were very helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with anything I needed. They even accommodated a late check-in due to my international flight, which I really appreciated. The location is also great, being near King’s Cross Station, making it easy to get around and explore London.

One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, and my room was on the top floor. This made it a bit inconvenient to carry myself and my shopping bags up the stairs, especially after a long day of sightseeing. While it wasn’t a dealbreaker, it’s worth considering if you have mobility issues.

The staff where excellent, polite, helpful, and attentive, the hairdryer in the room was broken and within a short time we had a replacement and a letter of apology. The beds where comfortable. Breakfast was continental and a good choice and unlimited, there was no issue to have takeaway's in for an evening meal in their breakfast area they even provided cutlery.

Room was not ready, as we were settling into our room house keeping came to clean, should have been ready, there was less than minimal space between the walls and the beds quite difficult to move round and enter the beds. there was a slight smell of stagnant water from the bathroom, not overpowering but not pleasant the pop up sink plug kept jamming shut difficult to release water. But all said we would stay again. 27/32

A newly decorated, small, cute and clean hotel 7-8 minutes walk from King's Cross tube/train station. The friendly and helpful reception team supported us in every request. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the Ground floor street-facing room which we stayed in the first night, due to the construction in the building next door and the road noise. With the attention of the reception, we were transferred to a different room upstairs and our satisfaction was ensured. I would like to thank Mr. Maluik for his attention. The room and bathroom were very clean. We did not take the breakfast because of poor quality and unsufficient products.

The room/ toilet is clean. Staff are pleasant and attended the request (move to another room due to double lock is broken). Near to St Pancreas station. Receptionist helped to book a taxi. Room is small but enough for single/ double occupants if you are staying to sleep/ rest only at nights anyway. Still comfortable.

The main door lock (double lock ) was broken. Though I was kindly moved by the staff to another room per my request. No lift therefore not good for old people who has heavy luggages. The hair dryer in that certain room I stayed needs to be checked, might need to be changed. It’s still working though.

Room was quiet, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly. The room was small but really nicely done, and had proper black out curtains, which makes a change! location was ideal - I was spending a few days at the British Library and it was barely more than 5 minutes walk, and even quicker to the train station.

I did not realise there was no lift - not a problem for me as I was travelling light and live somewhere with almost as many stairs, but if I had a heavy case, I would not have been happy about walking up to the top floor. It’s not obvious from the hotel description that there is no lift.

A delightful overnight stay. Our first visit to the House of Toby. A warm welcome was given at reception and first impressions were very good. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and looked very fresh and well maintained. The double room was nicely furnished and air conditioned, which was a godsend as the weather was extremely warm. An extremely comfortable bed which I didn't want to get out of (I was actually tempted to ask who supplied the mattress!) Simple swipe card to access the room. Come and go as you please. Great location too - five minute walk to King's Cross tube and about a half hour walk to theatreland. I've stayed in dearer hotels in this area which have been dirty, cramped and had broken furniture, so it was a great relief to finally find one as pleasant as this. Genuine review here, and I genuinely cannot fault this place. I will definitely be back!!

This hotel will go down as a firm favourite for me in London! As a solo traveller for work, this place was PERFECT! Super central so easy to get around (about a 3 min walk from Kings X/ St Pancras), the room was compact but clean and super modern with lovely decor. The shower was a rainfall shower which you just can't beat! The staff were super lovely and extremely helpful, and the small on-site bar was a nice way to end my day before heading to bed. One thing to be aware of is, because of the nature of its location (central London) it can get very noisy outside with constant traffic, and the windows of the rooms, to keep with the London townhouse aesthetic, are sash single glazed so there isn't much protection from the noise of the busy street below. However a couple of foam earplugs will do the trick to drown that out, and it's worth it to be so central and close to the main train stations!

Great location close to st. Pancras allowing for quick access to the whole of London, but still located in a quiet street. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Daily cleaning of the room and the bed was really good. Shower was also great and wifi. Overall we had a very pleasant stay here for our 1 week trip exploring London. Room heating was good and we had a window to open as well.

While relatively clean and daily cleaning, we noticed some dust in upper areas that had been there for quite some time.

The breakfast was a good continental breakfast with a conscientious member of staff ensuring everything was well stocked and replenished when necessary. The location is excellent for access to central London and all that the city offers. Both the catering and reception staff were very attentive.

I didn't dislike anything. If one wanted to find fault, it is possible, to say that the history of the building as an old Toby brewery public house does not allow easy installation of a lift, which is unfortunate if you have to walk up three levels with a suitcase, but the quirky, maze-like character of the stairs provided some compensation for that.
