Location was amazing. I could walk to the West End and see Westminster, Big Ben, and the London Eye or walk 5 minutes to the underground and be almost anywhere in the city in less than half an hour. The hostel itself is on the end of a street with tons of restaurants, shops, and a great overall atmosphere. The free breakfast provided didn't have a huge variety of options but what was available was great quality and very tasty. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I felt very safe during my entire stay.

I was not provided a towel, so be aware to bring your own for your showers. I personally didn't have an issue with the noise, but the close proximity to both a very walkable street with restaurants and an underground station meant there was noticeable noise from trains and people most of the night. The hostel did provide earplugs for all guests on your bed.

It was in a fabulous location close to the metro and in walking distance to the Thames and Big Ben. Our room ( a private twin) was nice and bright with 2 windows but we needed the windows open as it was a bit musty with some marks on the walls.( mould.??). Staff were helpful and friendly.

It was right on the Train line so very noisy although we knew this when booking. (The trains ran from 6am until about 1 am). There are very limited showers and toilets (1 toilet on each floor and 2 showers). The one right near our room didn’t work the whole time we were there which was disappointing considering we paid for a twin room not a bed in a dorm and the other shower area was tiny and had no hanging space or anywhere to put your clothes. The web site mentioned an iron which is incorrect and while they do offer luggage storage after check out for 3£ per bag there is no option to pay for a shower. ( not great when you fly late in the evening ).

The location is central to a lot of museums, monuments, as well as restaurants. Easy to get to. There are tons of restaurants to choose from, as well as shops. The bathroom was spacious enough as well, although the toilet, not so much. The common areas are kept clean. Breakfast was decent, cereals, coffee, tea, milk, toast... it would be great to have some protein like eggs, but otherwise good. They let you keep your luggage for free if you come in before check in. Staff are accommodating too.

The proximity to the train station was a double edged sword. Obviously, it made everything accessible. On the other hand, it can get noisy at night. If you close the windows, you drown out the sound of the trains BUT the room becomes humid and can smell.

It has a pub, what more could I want? After taking a hot shower, go to the pub for a pint in flip-flops! Top experience!

There was a gentleman who smelled very bad from his feet in my room. But I spoke to the young lady at the Pub who went there with a miracle spray, and the smell went away!

Clean rooms, good breakfast. Hostel bar and Christmas decorations were nice. They also have a nice kitchen where you can cook your own food, it was very helpful to me. I wear a hearing aid so after turned it off, noise from the metro station did not bother me in the night.

No curtains on bunk beds. Guest are noisy and they don't mind to turn on the lights after midnight when you're already sleeping. I guess curtains will help with that... Also, the bathroom is outside the room even when you have a private shower. The shower was too small that I injured my back trying to figure out how to use it.

They have padlocks for sale at a reasonable price so even if you forget the padlock for the lockers, you can conveniently get one from there. They provided breakfast - the bar has no kitchen so nothing hot but all the essentials were there, like cereal, biscuits, coffee, tea, OJ, apple juice, bread, butter and jam. They provide earplugs in case the train sounds bother you at night, and the train noise didn't bother me with the earplugs in at night. The room was warm, so the blanket they provide, which is not super thick, was enough to keep warm overnight. I had an oversized luggage and was worried about storage, but I could store it under the bed. I kept it unlocked, and nothing was stolen, but I definitely kept valuables in the locker. The bar was busy on the weekend nights, so is a great place to meet the locals. It had a live music on Saturday night as well.

The building doesn't have an elevator, so make sure you only bring what you can carry on the stairs. My luggage coming down was about 27kg because I combined two smaller luggages, and it was not fun coming down the stairs, but people were generally kind and helpful. The shared kitchen is closed overnight, and food is not allowed in the room - it would be nice to have access to the kitchen overnight for some late night snacks. The kitchen is also quite small for the number of beds they have.

Perfect location, you won't get anything more central for that price Breakfast included plus discount at the bar :))) You can use any bathroom/toilet on any floor which is really helpful in the morings with all the guests staying there Lockers in every room (don't forget to bring your own lock!) Super duper friendly staff and great pub! Kitchen! So good to have and everything you need there and very spacious - pretty rare in London Hostels

No lift and lots of stairs, you will be charged for storing luggage after check out, toilets could be cleaned a bit more regular given all the people staying there Obviously noisy with Waterloo station right outside but honestly it sometimes was almost nice to have some white noise and if it got too much they supply earplugs for free (or earbuds with music does the job just as well) - was not an issue for me just something you should definitely be aware of before booking. Super weak wifi in the upper floors

The staff were incredibly polite, the vibes were great and the location of the Hostel was perfect for visiting Waterloo, it being right next to the station was also super convienient as after a long trip checking in was super fast. The value for money was really solid! breakfast is nothing special but it's just really nice that it's an option for people and they don't have to provide that. The Hostel also offering locks for people who need them and towels too for a very insignificant fee is great, I was in Waterloo for two days and didn't really want to stuff a towel into my 12hr sized kit bag, so it was very convenient to be able to pay to borrow a clean one.

The facilities at the site are rather cramped, I'm 6'0" tall and getting in and out of the stalls whilst doing things like getting changed, brushing my teeth etc. was rather difficult, though that's a problem of the old architecture more than anything else; I'll also add that getting into a top bunk as a tall individual is also particularly hard. The bedsheets could do with an option for a thin duvet if someone wants, this is because in the 101 (the large room with alot of people) it gets pretty roasting and the thicker covers are pretty unnecessary. There's not really a great place to get changed either, so, you'll probably have to do it in the showers or the bathroom which feels a bit unhygenic? though maybe that's just me not feeling comfortable getting changed around strangers.

In middle of London. Perfect to visit the capital in few days. The bar, and breakfast, are pretty goods for this place. Various happy hour each days The team listen you, it's feel good. It's a good place to exchange with other nationalities and practice english.

It's near of rail, so it's loud in bedroom. But after 12pm there is no more train. Care about the hours : When you leave permanently your bedrooms before 10:00AM and waiting a fly, you have no access to the bar at 10:00-12:00 AM (the staff cleans it after breakfast). (very personal, no hot chocolate ;_;)

The hostel is easy to find and conveniently located near the Lambeth North station on the Bakerloo line. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy the room was very clean. the toilets and showers are easily accessible on every level of the hostel, meaning that no room is very far away from them. The bar discount for staying there was welcome and drinks were well priced. The free morning breakfast was a really nice touch with cereal, toast, tea, coffee, orange juice and fruit. Overall incredibly good value for money in London!

The room got quite hot at night with 4 of us in there, but the traffic and tube noise means that you can't really open the window without disturbing others. This was a trip in May and it wasn't particularly warm outside, so I imagine on a much hotter day it would be even hotter.
