The location was convenient for where we wanted to be in the city. Staff were really helpful and when we had a problem with the air con leaking in the room it was quickly resolved, cleaned up, and a couple of free drinks given for the inconvenience. It was easy to turn up, pay, and have breakfast on the day week needed it and the selection was in line with what I would expect.

Only things that I wasn't so keen on was the fluffy pillows, as I prefer a firm one where my head doesn't sink, and the bathroom being a unit with a step which I forgot about about in the middle of the night!

The location was superb, literally just a couple of minutes away from a Tesco Express and tube. Very convenient. The breakfast was superb, it's a buffet with all the trimmings, and the food tasted amazing, so I'll recommend to get breakfast inclusion. The room size is good as we booked a triple. Amenities are adequate. The hotel is also a train ride from Gatwick, no need to change train. But otherwise it's a reasonably priced, greatly located hotel, clean and convenient. The hotel staffs were professional and friendly.

A small drawback was we were given an accessible room which we didn't ask for, and the picture on the website looks better than the real room.

The staff were excellent, and the bed was comfortable. There were a good number of on-site services such as food, a bar, laundry, etc. The location is extremely convenient to the west end, and the price was very affordable with that in mind.

I know it's a budget hotel line but I still think the following was unacceptable. The floor is an easy-to-clean linoleum sort of material. No bath mats are provided by default and you have to ask at reception if you want one. The problem is you don't really discover this until it's too late, as the sign is just outside the shower. The first time I took a shower my foot shot across the floor. Luckily I caught myself but I could easily have been hurt. Put the bath mats in my default! Aside from this the staff had to come to the room at one point as no power was going to the sockets, and the towels were not replaced, just taken away, when I left them on the shower floor as instructed.

Proximity to public transport. A reasonably large room with all the amenities I need, even with an ironing board and an iron, which is important before going to the opera. The materials used to finish the room are conducive to maintaining cleanliness. If you have a late flight, you can easily store your luggage here.

I found only one minus and it is that I really had to think about it: when you light the LED strip, you can see dust on the wall under the light out of reach. The cleaning staff should have a device that increases the range of the hand with the cloth.

The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The hotel kindly let us check in at 11:30am, so we could store our bags, as one of our rooms was ready early. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, the triple being very large when compared with similar hotels. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning much appreciated. Breakfast was of a high standard; lots of choice and good quality food - I have a gripe with cheap sausages, but these were Cumberland and very tasty! Would advise avoiding peak breakfast times, as we did, meaning it was lovely and quiet. Hotel is only a two minute walk from Southwark Station, though there were issues with the line and station when we stayed - no fault of the hotel! Ubers are frequent and arrived within minutes.

Although very well equipped, comfortable and spacious, the rooms are a tad basic when compared with the more plush and modern communal areas. However, these were superficial issues and i’d most certainly stay again. Good value for money.

We arrived early and staff were helpful with our bags so we could go off and explore. Checked in later on and it was straightforward and quick. Room basic but clean and had most things we needed. Breakfast had a good variety and quite reasonable at £13 each. All members of staff were very helpful and location was ideal. We would stay again!

Bathroom didn't have a very pleasant smell (no fan in there) but we presumed it was because it was old. The light switches but gave us a giggle on how to switch them off whilst in bed (to be fair, it does have a label on the main switch stating that one switch controlled all)

Everything was as I expected. Clean, orderly and comfortable. Perfect for where I needed to get to (concert at the Southbank Centre). Bed was reasonably comfortable given that I'm old and knackered. Shower was perfect. Tea, coffee stuff etc. Love that it has a safe in the room for your valuables. My only criticism would be that should the weather have been above 20°c, the room might have been a bit warm but I did make a point of opening the window as soon as I entered and settled in and left it.open all night, which put the room.at an ambient temperature. But like I say, that would be my.only negative. I'd certainly stop again.

The location was great, just a 3-4min walk from Southwark and had a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and there's a Tesco Express just opposite the Southwark station The check out is 12pm, which surprisingly was slightly rare to find I could store my luggage both before check in and after check out which was super convenient!

The casting didn't work on the TV which was a bit annoying but they had Netflix/Youtube which worked The price was a bit higher than other similar hotels but overall nothing stay or staff wise that was bad

We really liked the location, two metro stations in walking distance and we also walked back to the hotel from the centre quite easily. The bar was a lovely stop before going to sleep and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The choice of colours in the hotel does not add a cozy vibe. We would have appreciated having slippers or extra toiletries in the room. The breakfast was very tasty, however, a choice of pies or desserts would be appreciated.

As we know, London is expensive. Ibis Blackfriars is really affordable and has a great location. It is near the tube station Southwark and a couple minutes away from the Globe Theatre, Tate gallery and One Blackfriars. The rooms are astonshingly big and the personnel is helpful and nice. Breakfast is great, you can have really everything. Also the hotel is well organized!
