I stayed with my son at the Native Bankside in London for three nights in August 2025, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Having had more than a few questionable hotel experiences in London, I arrived a little wary—but from the moment we walked in, I knew this place was different. The entire property is immaculate: spotless, well-organized, and designed with real care. Our room was surprisingly spacious by London standards, fresh, modern, and perfectly laid out. Everything felt new and impeccably clean. The internet was not just “good for a hotel”—it was genuinely fast and rock-solid reliable, which made a big difference for us. Though we didn’t make use of every amenity, it was reassuring to know they were there, and everything in the room was thoughtfully equipped, well-maintained, and fully functional. The attention to detail is obvious everywhere. What really sets Native Bankside apart, though, is the people. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. At reception, Mohammed and Hamza in particular went above and beyond—they were attentive, helpful, and always friendly, which made the stay feel personal rather than transactional. After years of trial and error in London hotels, I can confidently say I’ve found my go-to place. Native Bankside is excellent in every respect, and I look forward to returning.

There is nothing to complain about.

The aparthotel is great, loved the location, staff was fantastic. Room was pretty well laid out, just a few issues. There is a small kitchenette, if you have dry goods there is no place to put them, not a lot of area to prep either. A small shelf in bathroom would go along way, hard to access toiletries as we stayed for 7 nights, no real area to put them. I had an issue with my phone, has basically no cell service, the hotel is a old warehouse, brick and concrete, which meant we I could not use my personal hotspot… WiFi was ok. I had to go to the gym to make a personal call. There is a lounge on floor 1, but it’s not private. A few little upgrades to the room ( a few shelves) and it would be perfect! Microwave great and fridge space was fantastic….the washer machine in the room was such a dream… I will try another Native in the city, try to stay in different areas when we go back to London, to learn more of the city….

We booked 2 One Bedroom apartments for Us and our friends. We were given a disabled room - which was great as it was so big! The other apartment was pretty small so i would bare that in mind if looking at the apartments. The location was fantastic! 5 minute walk to Borough Market and right on the Thames. Apartment was lovely and cool and had everything you would need and more to stay there - you could easily stay there for a week no problem.

There was only 1 mirror in the apartment and it didnt have any plugs around it! So being a woman who used hairdryers and straighteners it wasnt practical - i have to straighten my hair using the glass of the cooker! Also as the bathroom was a disabled one there was no where to put any toiletries at all, needs a shelf in there. These are just picky things as we did like the accommodation.

The location is great…able to walk or ride bike to all touristy spots. London bridge, St.Pauls cathedral, West Minster Abbey, Parliament/Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Churchill war room, Borough market. The room itself was thoughtfully laid out, we did just take carry on so used the washer dryer. We also loved it had a fridge for yogurt and fruit , boiled eggs , easy to have light breakfast in room. It is close to hustle and bustle but so quiet inside the room, tucked away on quiet alley. Friendly desk staff.

This is my own directional challenges after long flight…I found it difficult to find. Called and staff was able to direct me over the phone.

The hotel is great. It is in a lovely location, close to the Thames Path, Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe, Borough Market. Easy access to other areas by Tube and train. Quiet setting in an atmospheric cobbled street. It’s also a really nicely converted and renovated building. Stylish interiors, comfortable rooms, good facilities in the rooms (fridge, washing machine, hot plate etc). The beds are amazing - best mattress ever. Staff are great: friendly, helpful and thoughtful, especially Hamzah.

Can’t think of anything!

Excellent location right next to the Tate Modern, and close to a host of public transport options. Our welcome by Hamza at the front desk was warm, friendly and efficient -- he arranged a room for us well ahead of our check-in and oriented us on the facilities. Our room was the best part: spacious, modern, very stylish and extremely comfortable. I had the sleep of ages on the wide and comfortable bed; mood lighting and temperature control were touch-button, no hiccups there. I would totally stay here again and wished we'd stayed longer!

More coffee stocked in the kitchenette would have been appreciated

The location was fantastic. Right on Southbank area of the Thames, making it easy to walk everywhere. Blackfriars train station is also a 5 minutes walk away, and the underground is over the bridge easily walkable. We found the accommodation easily and was quiet over the NYE dates we were there. The lady at check-in was friendly and super helpful ( I think her name was Yvonne ) You have many restaurants all in an easy walking distance. The accommodation itself was asthectically lovely (Premier Studio ). The amenities in the room were brilliant and had the bonus of a washing/dryer machine, which saved us hunting around for a launderette. Also, you can cook for yourself if wanted, and it was nice to be able to buy breakfast stuff to make in the room.The bed was comfortable, and the room was lovely and clean. The room was warm, and there was no need to use the heaters. I found the price reasonable, compared to hotels in the area and the amenities the room had, especially as it was booked last minute and over NYE.

The only downside for us was the constant air flow sound in the room. I am a light sleeper and use earplugs. But sitting in the room in the day, the constant background noise got annoying. Bar this I still would highly recommend the property as maybe this doesn't affect people it was only our downside.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were happy to store our luggage when we arrived early and texted to let me know when the room was ready for us. The apartment was spacious with great air con and storage space. It was clean and nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The location is in a quiet street, centrally located with plenty of places to eat or have a drink on the doorstep. The perfect place to stay for families, couples or solo travellers.

We booked 2 x 1 bedroom apartments which were the perfect size for 2 nights stay - especially for our elderly parents. Very easy check in, staff very helpful and welcoming. Lift access to all floors, again essential for our needs. Very central location, just off south bank. Small but very well equipped kitchen. Cab from Waterloo to Native about £15. We have stayed many times and we're already booked to return in January 2025. When we checked out, we were able to keep our cases in locked store so we could enjoy another day in London!!! Would highly recommend.

Just a very minor point, great showers however more like wet room bathroom as water does go everywhere! Fine for us but a little concerning for elderly parents - but they coped ok.

Great location between Blackfrairs abd London Bridges, close to Tate Modern and not far from St Paul's Cathedral. Lots of quirky back streets too with little bars and restaurants. The accommodation itself was pristine, beautifully done and well set out with everything you need. Equipment provided was great, wrll thought out, liked the toiletries provided, great shower which is always a bonus! I also liked that tea and coffee were provided with decent milk in the fridge.

I was on the sofa bed which you could see had tape on it I think to keep it together and the mattress was really quite lumpy. Considering the price per night, I would have expected the sofa bed to be quite decent. it was also difficult to work out which knob did what in the main shower/bathroom ... and the knobs themselves had bits missing.
