We stayed here for our anniversary and I emailed beforehand to let the hotel know- they made our room so cute with decorations and a lovely card saying happy anniversary. Our room was lovely on the top floor with a fabulous view - we had the windows open all night and were not disturbed by the outside noise ( you can hear music, but we enjoyed it coming back from a night out) The staff were all very welcoming, the location was perfect- literally everything you need just a few steps away. Despite other reviews, we found the hotel easy to spot from the street and had no problems finding the entrance. We did not use the bar or restaurant but they both looked good and if we were staying for longer we would have definitely gone to the bar.

Unfortunately, the bed was not comfortable and we found ourselves waking up multiple times in the time due to being uncomfortable. Had we been staying for more than 1 night, we would have complained but it was manageable just for 24 hours. Also, despite being a Z member and staying at another location previously, we were not entitled to the complimentary cheese & wine because I had made the reservation via booking.com and not directly through the hotel. I did think this was unfair.

The Z hotel is conveniently situated just around the corner from Covent Garden. Central London and many attractions are within a good walking distance. The hotel is so close to all the main theatres with lots of good places to eat in the neighbourhood. The rooms are modern, well kept and the hotel itself presents well and is cared for. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms on the courtyard side a very quiet, even our room this time was road side it was much quieter than expected. Value for money, modern, clean and great location.

My only very small complaint is there could be a few more hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels to dry

The location was superb, the main attractions all close by, lots of restaurants around, and near to the underground stations. It was also rather quiet, considering that it was right in the centre. The staff was very friendly and helped us with all the requests. WiFi is fast and free, TV had a bunch of channels, toiletries and some extra stuff, like water and tea were all complimentary, too. We also had a lovely view on St.Paul’s church.

Although we knew the rooms would be rather small, we definitely were not prepared, for 2 people it was very tight. However, if it is only one person traveling, I’d say it’s pretty good. If we could also suggest anything is to add the hooks in the bathroom or room for the towels, as there was no really space to hang them: most of the space was taken by the hanging jackets, etc.

Hotel was lovely in a great spot for going to see all the attractions and central London. Room was perfect for somewhere to sleep and get showered. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the size. Never had breakfast as was always right out but used the restaurant facilities when we came back later at night it was just what you needed after a long busy day. Staff were all great and friendly, nothing was a problem for them.

Only thing I wasn't keen on the room was fairly small with no window, however wouldn't put me off coming back as it was only for sleeping and showering

Z Covent Garden has a great location with two tube stations within easy walking distance. The hotel (initially) can be difficult to find as its tucked up a side street next to an entrance to a church and the church courtyard. Rooms are cosy/compact but well fitted for tourists visiting London. Location is great. Ask for rooms on the lower floors facing the church, they nicer and quieter

A little tough to initially locate on arrival but then its easy to get back. There are lots of narrow stairs as some areas of the hotel are not serviced by the elevator, so if your carrying lots heavy bags be aware but staff always eager to help carry. The rooms are only serviced every two days - they forgot to tell me that when I checked in. So, again not this and keep your own room tidy until its serviced.

amazing location, room is a little bit small but enough for night sleep. very clean, and staff is good. we arrived late night and entered the room very fast.

the airco was not good enough - but we arrived during the heat wave, probably it is enough for normal summer days.

A great and friendly place in a fantastic location. If you want to enjoy the historic centre and some shows I can‘t think of a better place. Plenty of good restaurants a few steps away. Plus a lovely garden you may use right next to it.

The one limitation is space. No cupboards, very small rooms. You have to live out of your suitcase and if you are 2 to a room you have to close suitcases after use. I guess this is the price for a reasonable room rate in this prime location.

Modern, clean, reasonably equipped (big flat tv, kettle for coffee /tea) efficient temperature control, quiet, modern bathroom. Excellent location of the hotel, a great place to enjoy London. Friendly and helpful staff

As described, the room was 9 m2. I have been in such hotels before and a few things could be better: no place to hang the bath towels, no small safe to be able to leave passport and keys in the room, the external window was always full of water drops due to how it was installed, see photoThe privacy in the WC could be better (again, comparing with similar size hotel rooms).

Great use of space - knew room would be compact but was pleasantly surprised by it and how well designed it was EXCEPT having no towel rail or anything to use as makeshift so had to use clean towel both days as first day’s towel still damp on second morning. Incredible location and well worth paying an extra few pounds for a window as the view over the garden behind the church and through to Covent Garden was beautiful.

Lovely welcoming staff, nice clean room, pillows were great and shower was good and keeping our bags for us before and after we checked in was fabulous.

The walls are pretty thin so, being able to hear the woman next door laughing loudly and constantly into the early hours the first night and early the next morning at 6.30 am wasn't that great! Thank goodness she only seemed to stay the one night. We could hear peoples voices and showers/toilets flushing but most people were respectful and weren't making excessive noise
